Neverwinter Nights 2, RPG во вселенной Dungeons & Dragons от Obsidian Entertainment, сегодня получила вторую жизнь благодарю выходу в Steam - игра была перевыпущена как часть бандла Platinum Edition.
Platinum Edition включает NWN2 с двумя расширениями, Mask of the Betrayer и Storm of Zehir. Mask - это приключение для героев высокого уровня, которое продолжает сюжет оригинальной игры, в то время как Zehir - отдельная история с новыми персонажами. Имейте в виду, что NWN2 поставляется с набором инструментов, позволяющим вам самим создавать собственные оригинальные уровни и приключения (одиночные и мультиплеерные).

I love steam too,But go over to GOG now and you will find NWN2 on sale for $13.49 CDN, dont know USD but it will be a lot less. Just buy it, it has all the expansions plus Westgate which steam never had

Why is nwn2 not on steam and why is there so much dlc content for 1 when theres nothing for 2? Seems quite odd to keep supporting the older version when the newer version is so far ahead on so many fronts, gfx, sound, ect. In my opinion 2 is awesome and could and would have bought everything for it and played the crap out of it.
Ps: Its a noob question so please dont hate if i got something wrong here.

Licensing is almost always the reason why any game is pulled from Steam, including NWN2.
NWN on Steam now is a recent remaster, Beamdog bought the rights from whoever owned the IP (Atari?). I think I recall they said they weren't interested in doing the same for NWN2.
NWN2 never had as many premium modules as NWN, also some of the DLC for NWN on Steam is new.
If they brought this back, I would buy it as soon as I possibly could.
I saw this game in BestBuy and ended up buying SPORE instead. By the time I came back to the store, they were no longer carrying it. Still regret my purchasing decision to this very day.

The GOG version is better than the physical version in every way, except if you actually care about owning the DVDs and case and all that. But seeing as you would have bought on Steam anyway. 13 апр. 2020 в 21:57
I was lucky enough to buy the NWN2 Platinum version of this game on Steam back in Dec 2011 for £3.75 according to my Steam purchase history. The problem I had back then though was that I only had an Atom-based netbook and the game ran too poorly on it to enjoy fully so I gave up and had never really thought about it again until recently when I came across a review that reminded me of how well-rated this game was, and still is.
I have by default become a bit of a retro gamer these days as nearly all the games I have enjoyed playing the most happen to be games that were released at least a decade or more ago. It's not even a nostalgia thing with me either so I think I will install the 11gbs of this game and it's expansions on Steam and see just how good this game really is this time.

Platinum edition is missing one expansion, Mysteries of Westgate. This is one of several reasons why GOG's version is better. Mysteries of Westgate is also good, much better than the original campaign.
But likewise I also mostly play games from the 2000s, it was just the best era for gaming. Game developers used technology to actually innovate in gameplay, unlike today. Games were not massively dumbed down, modding was way more prevalent, level design was far more intelligent and meaningful, there were far less copycat games and far more games trying to be their own unique masterpiece.

I use both but as I'm getting older I'm starting to prefer all my games in one place (and Steam is what I'm going with) so I would grab NWN 2 if it came to steam even though I own both NWN's on Gog.
That aside, not sure if you have played both of the NWN games but 1 is FAR superior- Which is strange because NWN 2 has better graphics, an improved D&D ruleset (3.5 is superior to 3.0) and a better Official Campaign but yet its somehow nowhere near as good as the original NWN imho.
If you havnt played NWN I would totally advise grabbing up the EE because its pretty good so far- If you already own Diamond Edition (and it runs well on your computer) I would still say the EE is worth a pick up but mainly to support the dev team and see where it goes.
I'm replaying the OC right now in EE and its nowhere near as bad as I had remembered it being- Its actually not bad at all this time around and the shaders make things look really nice-
I was on the fence about about this but already ive gotten my moneys worth even though I own diamond and it runs fine for me- I'm actually having a ton of fun.

Это европейская версия, она доступна только там.
Русскоязычный сервер к стиму никак не относится, тут обсуждать нечего, как и беспокоиться не о чем.
А запускать наш клиент через стим как не рекомендовалось, так и не рекомендуется.

Это что был такой ПиарХод, а потом ру регион прикрыли , вот почему с европейского сервера мало кто из старичков на ру сервер перешёл, с прокачанных-то там персонажей !!

Поддерживался и поддерживается, сейчас. Всё просто, так как часть наборов с Евро у нас не доступна, игры нет для СНГ.
Нет, потому что умельцы покупали их и выносили мозг поддержке, наборы активировали им на РУ. После этого, игру окончательно заблокировали. Я дальше играю через ту версию что качал в стиме.
Она спокойно лежит в папке криптик студио)
Ребят, ну хоть немного изучайте во что вы играете, тогда не будет бредо тем. Типа переустановил клиент, ошибки стимИД и.т.д.
