Good quote. I saw it as "remember the Alamo" to Snake to quash any ideas of a last minute futile attack.
I thought it had a double meaning; a reference to MGS3 and Skull Face warning his men that even though Snake was on his own, the apparent underdog can still beat the odds to win. I.e be wary!

Also, thanks to all the dedicated fans of the saga. I DID NOT remember that Volgin says that in MGS3, so when I heard Skull Face saying it I thought it was stupid. I said to myself "wait, neither Snake, nor him are Mexican. How could this quote possibly make any sense. " And I never stopped to think that 1) it may have been about the odds of Snake winning in a shootout since he was outnumbered and 2) it may have been a reference to past MGS games (like so many other ones found in TPP!)
And skull face confirms he was in the background of mgs3 solely to clean up any less you made.
Why does Volgin say "remember the Alamo" before he shoots the Burger King building in Russia?
The weapon that The Boss gives to Volgin is called a "Davy Crockett".
Justification for the Soviets going to war with America because he blew up the building and killed a shit ton of people. Kind of loke the same way America used the Alamo for a reason to go to war with Mexico.
Also the Burger King thing that I said was from an animation on YouTube where Volgin blows up a Russian Burger King and Ocelot tries to stop him.
