Польская студия Hyperstrange подготовила ролик для грядущего спин-оффа POSTAL: Brain Damaged. Большую его часть составляет монолог главного героя, а в конце показали целых 30 секунд геймплея.
Чувак, одетый в больничную сорочку, сам рассказывает об игре, ибо «ублюдки из Hyperstrange ничего не сделали». В самый разгар описание прерывается телефонным звонком и персонажа засасывает в портал. Тут-то и начинается настоящий геймплей, в котором продемонстрировали пару локаций, врагов и примеры их устранения: например, при помощи лопаты-бензопилы.
По сюжету Чувак оказывается в психушке, где медсестра пичкает подопечных неизвестными таблетками, превращающих их в агрессивных зомби. Главная цель «бумер-шутера» — выбраться из адского учреждения любыми способами.
Новая часть похождений Чувака утратит открытый мир — ему на смену придут линейные уровни, приближающие игру к старым шутерам. К роли Чувака вернулся Кори Круз (Corey Cruise), ранее подаривший голос персонажу в Postal 3 и дополнении Paradise Lost для второй части.
Релиз экшена состоится когда-то в 2021 году в Steam. Но немного пощупать его дадут на фестивале демоверсий Steam Next Fest, что пройдёт с 1-го по 7 октября.

С «песочницей» в открытом мире можете попрощаться: Brain Damaged — это классический олдскульный шутер с линейными уровнями, где помимо стволов раскиданы всяческие усиления. Зато на месте останутся фирменный чёрный юмор и плещущее через край насилие.
Над игрой трудятся Hyperstrange и CreativeForge Games. Первая известна по слэшеру в стиле хеви-метал Elderborn, а вторая — по тактическому вестерну Hard West и пошаговому шпионскому триллеру Phantom Doctrine. Издатель — Running With Scissors, работавшая над прошлыми частями серии.
POSTAL: Brain Damaged планирует к релизу в конце 2021 года в Steam.
