До принятия названия Lacuna Coil команда существовала под именем Ethereal. Состав участников меняется, но основой остаётся трио Кристина — вокал, Андреа Ферро — мужской вокал, Марко Коти Целати — бас. Двухтрековый демо принёс ребятам в мае 1996 года контракт с немецким Century Media.
После релиза дебютного мини-альбома, спродюсированного Вальдемаром Сорихтой из Grip inc. Lacuna Coil были прозваны "готическо-думовыми Bon Jovi с женским вокалом". Сама команда в то время описывала свою музыку как "мрачно-мечтательную". До выпуска полноценного альбома группа промоутировалась в европейском туре с португальцами Moonspell в декабре 1997 года. Тем не менее, отыграв только три гига в туре Раффаэле Дзагария, Клаудио Лео и Леонардо Форти покинули группу. Неустрашимые Lacuna Coil пополнились Андерсом Иверсом из Tiamat и Cemetary в качестве гитариста и Маркусом из Kreator в качестве барабанщика.
Команда переформировалась в январе 1998 привлечением гитариста Кристиано Мильоре из Thy nature и барабанщика Кристиано Моццати из Time Machine. Это укреплённое образование и штурмовало в европейском туре в течение апреля в союзе с The Gathering и Siegmen. Дополнительный персонал для живых выступлений был представлен гитаристом Стивом Минелли из Node и клавишником Элисом Карелли.
2006 год знаменует выход долгожданного альбома, которому было дано название Karmacode. Его появлению предшествует релиз третьего по счёту сингла группы, песни "Our Truth", которая задолго до официального релиза была включена в саунд-трек ко второй части американского фантастического фильма "Другой мир: Эволюция".
This song must be in the first place. "Enjoy the Silence" is also very good song, but it's not totally original. The guitar rifts of "Our Truth" are perfect. Their best song, for sure.
This song has started my never ending love for Lacuna. Vocals and guitars have so much power and I love to listen it again and again! It never gets boring.
The Powerful Whoosh of the guitar says it all! Vocals are as rhythmic as ever. Number 1 for sure! Whats it doing at number 4?
Maybe I'm biased because it was my introduction to Lacuna Coil, but it got me hooked!

3 End of TimeNew to this band. This is my favorite song. Heaven's A Lie and Trip The Darkness next. Our Truth is okay, but there's others that are better. Enjoy The Silence is good. I think even better than original. My issue is they didn't write the song, so it's a little bit of insult/sad because of that and shouldn't be so high. Top 10 okay, but not currently at 3.

My song. I am a big fan of L.C. since the early 2000s. It helped me during my darkest hours (which are quite often as a goth)
The original was a real classic of the 80's but this cover takes it to another level.

7 SwampedOne of the signature songs of Lacuna, it has a powerful intro with Scabbia belting it high, followed by Ferro's aggressive vocals.. The riffs and drums are electrifying all the way! The overall effect is enchanting!
None of their other songs compare with this and heaven's a lie in my opinion.

Имхо все-таки Karmacode. Comalies, по-моему, отличается по стилю. а на последнем диске продолжается линия Unleashed Memories + звук лучше. Неизбежен респект басисту Коти-Зелати: половина музыки и оркестровка - его рук дело.
Кстати, я не в курсе - они планируют приехать в Россию в наступающем году?

Karmacode действительно несколько "американизирован", видимо, с него (а, в частности, с кавера DM) началось продвижение группы в Штатах. Надо же янки узнать, что возможно играть лучше Evanescence))
Karmacode. Правда весь альбом кажется, что играет одна песня, но зато какая. *_*

хех, тогда можно пройтись и по синглам (Our Truth с бонусным Without A Reason) или, скажем, вспомнить deluxe-версию Comalies)))
А по мне так Unleashed Memories - он наиболее органично составлен, да и настроение у этого альбома какое-то особенное. Может быть, просто я слишком долго пытался его раздобыть?:)))
Я не могу выделить какой-то отдельный любимый альбом. Все нравятся. Разве что Karmacode, он мне показался несколько однообразным. Хотя я и слушаю его, но реже, чем остальные альбомы (однако, по иронии судьбы, именно Кармакод попал ко мне первым в виде цельного альобма, до него у меня были только три песни с In A Reverie).
