Сырая демка ролевой игры, которая хочет в Dark Souls. Но пока ей очень далеко до этого.

Раннего доступа я тут, конечно, не вижу. Однако, судя по всему, игра только в зачаточном состоянии. Это лишь демонстрация на Unreal Engine. И сделана она слабо. В прочем, лучшее её не выкладывали в Steam вовсе.

На данном этапе всё очень посредственно. В это играть на серьезных щах никак не получится. Здесь очень пустой мир. Нет смысла играть в принципе. Пара врагов, пара клинков и щитов, зелья и босс. Всё. Больше здесь ничего нет. Ничего менять нельзя. Ролевая система очень посредственная. Ничего нового вы там не увидите.

Играть в это я вам крайне не рекомендую. В это играть просто неприятно и бессмысленно. Она не сложная. Боевка здесь тоже очень отсталая. Из Souls здесь только захват и отскок, который заменяет старый добрый перекат.

Есть ли потенциал у этой игры? Обычно, такие игры заканчивают плохо. Нельзя выкатывать настолько неготовый продукт. Это морально влияет и на разработчиков, и на игроков. Сейчас от игры только негативные впечатления. Я не верю в то, что этот продукт когда-либо станет хорошим. К сожалению, жестокая реальность и личный опыт. За слишком сложное взялись.

Я рекомендую вам добавить в список желаемого данную игру ради интереса. Но пробовать играть в это, конечно, лучше не стоит на данном этапе.

Okay Steam, can I PLEASE leave a mixed review? This game is such a mixed bag.

The good:
+ The graphics are, of course, amazing. It's honestly one of the prettiest games in my library. I cannot think of a better example of disparity between gameplay and graphics.
+ The world design. It has a great world, that was actually quite fun to explore, although it would have been nice to give it a bit more content and some more variety, maybe friends NPCs, maybe some cool secrets.
+ The core gameplay, sorta. The concept of it at any rate. When it works, it's actually quite good. It shows some heavy inspiration from the Souls series, and it does a good job emulating that to a degree. However, it doesn't have a ton of innovation, and doesn't feel too unique in that aspect. I'd like to see a bit more character that sets this game aside from so many others.
+ When your stamina is low, the world goes grey, which I actually really liked as a sort of warning and a neat touch that made it feel like the developers really cared to add features like this.

The gameplay makes another appearance here. While the concept is nice, the actual mechanical gameplay you experience is. yeah. Timings are weird, stamina regenerates at a shockingly slow rate, the first boss has attacks with no tells, just an instant attack, the animations are awkward and weird, you don't take fall damage, the list goes on and on about the jankiness and weirdness of combat.

The bad:
-The game is very nearly unplayably buggy. It's BAD. Over the course of me installing, uninstalling and reinstalling it several times, I got new bugs with each attempt. First, it was always grey like when you're low on stamina. Then I found that playing with it set to 30 fps made it entirely unplayable. Setting it up to 60, I found that sometimes I couldn't escape the tutorial. I just ended up stuck. If you kill yourself, it teleports you high into the air outside the tutorial, and you survive the fall. However I was unable to fight the boss. I finally fixed these issues by reinstalling it again, but now I cannot set my language to anything other than French. I'm listing this as a bug as I used to be able to use English. If not, then count that separately unless you speak French I guess. There's also graphical issues, most of them relating to it being at 30 fps, so just don't. There are plenty more bugs, but I'm not going to list them all.
-There's no saving, which seems like a design flaw, but the lack of content kind of means it won't make a huge difference.
-The first boss has attacks that occur nearly instantly and with no tell. This doesn't really work, but if this were fixed, I honestly would have kind of liked the boss except for the next issue:
-Lack of enemy moves and design. The first boss only has a few moves, and most enemies have even fewer it seems, and there aren't that many unique enemies in the game. However, what they do have is pretty good.
-No-replenishing heals. You don't get heals when you respawn, you have to farm them or use the ones you find. I hated it in Bloodborne and I don't like it here any more.

So, after all that, it seems like the negatives really outweigh the positives, so why am I recommending it? Well, it's free, so it's not a waste of your money or something, just a small amount of time even if you don't like it. It was enjoyable to play, and I think this game has a lot of potential, so I hope that it gets some attention and that the developer is able finish this. If the gameplay is refined, if the world is expanded and a if a few key issues and a whole lotta bugs are fixed, this could easily be an outstanding game.

And now, as thanks to those of you who read this review, my recipe for a very simple chocolate sauce meant for use on crepes:
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
2 Tbs cocoa powder
5 Tbs granulated sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
OR, replace the nutmeg with 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon and 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper.

Mixed all in a small saucepan over low heat until smooth. Store in a small squeeze bottle and use on crepes, ice cream, donuts or whatever else tickles your fancy.
