При попытке запуска игра выдает ошибку "The launcher cannot query DirectX. Please update DirectX by installing the latest redistributable". У меня есть DirectX 12, все файлы игры в целостности, вышел из всех бета программ, пытался входить как администратор, но ничего не получается. Что делать?

Я уже установил.
Мб проблема в том, КУДА я установил, я решил что это не особо важно и просто сделал папку в стиме для этого

1. Click the link and download (somewhere) the zip. Unzip file.
2. Click on all files individually one after the other and confirm. (Error Handler.reg to Error Handler 4.reg)
3. Restart the computer
4. Start the game and have fun .

These are 4 Windows registry entries.
Simply unzip the file and click all 4 files one after the other and confirm with OK.
So everything is done.
If you don't have one at Rockstar Socialaccount you have to create one so you can play.

Have fun with the game.

There is a much simpler fix, that doesn't require downloading anything or making changes to your registry or restarting your computer.

Basically, you go the the game's folder and inside look for the folder 3rd:
Steam folder -> SteamApps -> common -> L.A. Noire -> 3rd

Find the file DXSETUP.exe and run it. This will install DirectX 9.
You will now be able to run L.A. Noire :)
Worked for me today (Oct 7, 2020)

Also, the page I linked to gives this advice:
"Once at the game launcher you can change the renderer to DirectX 11 which may improve performance."
I did this too.

Error message in full is:

"The Launcher cannot query DirectX. Please update DirectX by installing the latest redistributable."

The thing is; the game never gets beyond the Steam client interface / Windows desktop. So I never get a black screen or any launch menu, by which I might alter any graphical settings. The error message is pretty instantaneous from launch. Implication is I have it running in the "wrong" DirectX version; I am running WinXP with DirectX 9.0+. Rockstar also informed me (in more recent exchanges) that I need to set LA NOIRE to the correct version of DX, without mentioning WHAT that version is or how I may do that without a launch menu or options screens. However, I have no settings.ini files in my LA NOIRE folder, as the game has never properly launched, so I can't even do a work around by altering the .ini.

Does anyone have a spare settings.ini file I can just drop into the LA NOIRE folder in order to try to get past this issue? Or maybe a command line for the "Set Launch Options" screen?

Any other suggestions? You couldn't be _less_ helpful than Rockstar.

I see this problem hasn't been resolved, and it's pretty effin' annoying. My computer meets the requirements, everything is up to date, but I assume because I'm on XP and using directx 9, I'm probably being screwed. Seriously, what the f*ck?

I'm sorry I couldn't provide an answer, I'm just hoping someone else sees this thread who can help.

I gave up. There's no way I should be spending 7+ hours getting a game to work from a developer whose attitude is somewhere between "Tough ♥♥♥♥, we got your money." to "You need to do the same thing we told you to do the last 2 times you bothered us with your issue."

Открыть Steam по аналогии с первым разделом статьи.
Кликнуть ПКМ по названию игры в меню «Библиотека» и выбрать опцию «Свойства».
Перейти на страницу «Локальные файлы».
Нажать на кнопку «Проверить целостность файлов игры».
Дождаться завершения процедуры и попробовать запустить игру.

Переход на новый DirectX версии 11 или 12

На старой версии DirectX в Windows 10 L.A. Noire не запустится. Нужно установить минимум 11-ю версию платформы. Ещё до начала обновления следует убедиться, что в системе действительно стоит неактуальная версия DirectX. Для этого стоит нажать кнопки Win + S, ввести dxdiag и запустить найденное приложение. В данном меню пользователя интересует строка «Версия DirectX». Следует убедиться, что стоит последняя версия платформы (на текущий момент – 12 января 2019 года).

Если стоит старая версия платформы, то её следует обновить:

Перейти на оф. сайт Microsoft и скачать онлайн-инсталлятор.
Запустить скачанный файл, сразу после этого начнётся процесс скачивания данных.
По завершению установки следует перезагрузить ПК и открыть игру с правами админа.

Какой-то из методов должен помочь в данной проблеме, по крайней мере до сегодняшнего дня именно так и было. Пишите в комментариях способ, который сработал.
