Columbine and Bugloss. Both are annoying, because I have to stop and pick them. They sit there and taunt me until I do.

Never stop and ask a Miregaunt for directions.

Columbine is everywhere. It got a stealth buff and tends to spawn a lot more now. I find it all over the place, whereas a few months ago I'd be lucky to find one or two a day, now I can find 20-30 a day without even trying.

Columbine, Bugloss, Mtn Flower tend to grow more in open, rolling hills type areas.
All the flowers share nodes so harvest everything and next spawn it may be something more desireable.

Mushrooms tend to grow next to trees, rocks and, of course caves.
Again the nodes are shared.
I do seem to find a lot of Namira's Rot in Wrothgar

Turning grass off makes it easier to spot them all.

Run around Hollow City in Cold Harbor.

It's a little tough to see in grassy areas without the keen eye passive. Hollow City & Coldharbor seems easier. I want to change the world. I'm just to lazy to do it. I think they nerfed columbine in the latest update. I used to get tons from writs and surveys (with 4 max alchemists)- but Wrothgar gives me none. Thinking about respeccing a few characters to lower their alchemy skills and go back to doing Craglorn writs.

Any where really. Been finding alot more in Wrothgarth how ever.

You find it on guild stores for a fixed price because a cartel of unscrupulous players are farming it and trying to keep the price high by colluding and price fixing.

If specifically looking for it, I often do laps in Cold Harbor Hollow City. Just do a lap or two around the city; you will find it all over in the grassy spots

From my experience. there are four types of harvesting nodes for alchemy: Mushroom nodes, nirnroot nodes, water hyacinth nodes, and the rest.

Mushroom nodes only spawn mushrooms, nirn and hyacint only spawn their respective plant, and the final type can contain any of the remaining flowers.

So basically, anywhere you see a lady's smock, wormwood, bugloss, mountain flower etc. etc, there could be a columbine spawned next time you pass by, provided you or someone else picked up the flower currently blocking the node and gave it a chance to respawn.

Morale of the story: pick up all flowers you come across. If you only pick the good flowers and let the bad ones there blocking the node, there will be less and less good flowers to pick.

Tell yourself you're looking for Water Hyacinths and loop round ColdHarbour. ZoS hears everything and does the opposite.

Agreed! I have found it in several different places, just a matter of keeping your eyes open I suppose! You could just buy it from me since I bought every one in Belkarth this week.
Wasn't there some famous shooting there, with Micheal Moore or something?

I have departed into the great unknown that is outside the game and the forums, and wish you well in your Tamriel adventures!

It seems to grow mostly in patches of green grass dotted around the more arid areas like craglorn, altho I've found it in cyrodiil too. PS4 - Europe - Shardaxx - Wood Elf Nightblade - Aldmeri Dominion

Columbine | Elder Scrolls Online Wiki

Columbine Screenshot.jpg

Columbine is a Reagents material used by Alchemy for crafting potions in The Elder Scrolls Online. Columbine can be found growing in all zones, with the exception of Coldharbour (outside of the Hollow City).

An ingredient for crafting potions, gathered in the landscape

Columbine/Mountain Flower Locations [Xbox][Guide]

Where are the common locations for the Columbine/Mountain flower? I was completing the Alchemist Certification and like an idiot tasted the flowers instead of putting them into the potion. I attempted to abandon the quest then restart, but the flowers were not in the "easy location" as some had suggested. Any hints?

As far as I know, all that stuff is pretty random.

Fungi are usually next to trees, under rock overhangs, in fallen trees, etc. Nirnroot and Water Hyacinth are near water. Everything else is just randomly distributed in more open areas.

Correct. The location of these plants is entirely random. However, if you zone into an area like Craglorn and you stumble across one, chances are there is another one not too far away.
