Игра Alto's Adventure нравилась большинству геймеров. Единственным минусом этого тайтла можно было считать его простоту – игрокам хотелось бы видеть проект более сложным - что касается механики, и что касается навигации.

Похоже на то, что сиквелу, Alto's Odyssey, это удастся. Судя по видео с выставки E3, продолжение готово представить нам совершенно новую механику перемещения по стенам, позволяющую главному герою скользить по ним особым образом, избегая опасностей. Кроме того, предусмотрены воздушные шары и даже порывы ветра, которые вы сможете использовать для перемещения в пространстве.

Радует то, что Alto's Odyssey стала не банальным сиквелом Alto's Adventure, просто сменившим заснеженные склоны на пустынные пейзажи – здесь действительно есть, что осваивать и чем заняться, и это превращает продолжение в нечто более захватывающее, чем сам оригинал. Релиз проекта намечен на лето, но его точная дата пока неизвестна.

Even with the recent release of Alto's Odyssey, we wanted to make sure players are having the best Alto's Adventure experience possible. In this update:
• 3D Touch toggle disabled by default to avoid confusion about wingsuit activation.
• Dimmed the Home Indicator on iPhone X for a less obtrusive play experience.
• Fixed a bug that caused iCloud, Haptics, and 3D Touch checkboxes being hard to tap on iPhone X.
• Implemented a consistent icon next to player names on the leaderboard screen.
• Quick Character Select (long press on character icon) will now dismiss properly if you lift your finger during the animation.
• Haptics toggle button will now display properly on iPhone 8 and iPhone X.
• Corrected an issue with the Gift Shop that was causing incorrect cart data to display after starting a fresh cart.

The Workshop Update!
Izel’s been busy crafting some exciting new items in her workshop for you to try! Grab a helmet or two, level up your wingsuit, and keep an eye out for that llama stampede! But that’s not all – we’ve also made some further tweaks and improvements, including support for six new languages!
HELMETS
Carved from wood, these helmets will protect you from a single crash per run. They wont help with chasms though!
PICKAXE
A magical pickaxe that saves you from a single chasm crash per run.
LLAMA HORN
A blast from this mighty horn will cause a llama stampede! Once purchased, this item will appear at random on the mountainside.
LLAMA HORN STRENGTH
Increase the strength of the llama horn to cause even bigger stampedes!
WINGSUIT TIMER
Increase the duration of the wingsuit timer to fly even greater distances!

Там неизвестность: то сразу овраг, то длинный склон, где так здорово набирать скорость. Иногда пролетают воздушные шары, связанные какой-то карнавальной верёвкой. То и дело нужно прыгать, выкручивая сальто, чтобы ускориться. На фоне красуются завораживающие закаты и рассветы: уже ради них хочется купить игру.

Одна беда — всё это мы уже видели. Из нового разве что пейзаж: солнце, пустыня, каньоны. Специалисты говорят, что техника катания на сэндборде и сноуборде отличается, но у Alto’s Odyssey всё едино: никакой разницы в управлении вы не найдёте. Да и управления никакого нет, всё сводится к прыжкам: над пропастью, склонами и куполами забытого храма.

Кто-то щедрый рассыпал в дюнах прорву золотых монет, и мы их усердно собираем. Правда, тратиться негде: на крутой сэндборд вы наскребёте спустя пару часов, ещё через час — прокачаете половину навыков. Остаётся скупать вещи-компаньоны: например, кирку, которая вытащит из пропасти.

Повинуясь старой традиции таймкиллеров, герой растёт в уровнях, а его (ваши) рекорды отмечаются в статистике. Чтобы прокачать парня, нужно выполнять идиотские задания вроде «перепрыгни через три оврага», но это не обязательно и никаких ощутимых бонусов Альто не даёт — зато можно постепенно открывать новых персонажей.

В целом, тут ничего не поменялось. Лучшие моменты Alto’s Odyssey — по-прежнему те, в которых неожиданно сталкиваешься с местным миром. Когда на заднем плане медленно опускается солнце, а за героем увязываются длиннохвостые птички (и откуда только они взялись?), хочется всё бросить и остаться тут жить. Как и три года назад.

Alto’s Odyssey — чудесный таймкиллер, у которого ровно одна проблема: всё это мы уже видели. Переезд с севера на юг не дал ничего, кроме нового пейзажа на фоне. Даже не знаем, стоит ли это 379 рублей.

Прохождение Alto’s Adventure – советы и подсказки

Alto’s Adventure - это игра, посвящённая сноубордингу, с бесконечным геймплеем, атмосферной музыкой и оригинальной геометрической графикой. В ней ваш персонаж занимается отловом сбежавших лам, спускаясь на сноуборде с заснеженных гор.

По пути его поджидают скалы, пропасти и прочие опасности. Нельзя сказать, что эта игра чрезмерно сложна, но вы в состоянии превратить её прохождение в ещё более простое и плавное, воспользовавшись нашими советами.

• Копите монеты на вингсьют. В Alto’s Adventure предусмотрены различные power-ups, на которые вы можете потратить деньги, но настоящей вашей целью должен стать вингсьют. Это дорогая вещь, которая обойдётся вам в 7500 монет, но она того стоит. В этой игре нет внутриигровых покупок, поэтому вкладывать реальные деньги в приобретение костюма-крыла вам не придётся – нужно будет просто копить, но это несложно и вряд ли продлится дольше пары дней.
• Не выполняйте трюков на невысоких холмах. Если перепад высоты невелик, вам не следует экспериментировать с трюками – они могут быть опасны. К сожалению, на начальных этапах игры вы будете встречать именно холмы небольшой высоты. Поэтому запаситесь терпением и ждите появления гор покруче.
• Наращивайте свой уровень. Это понадобится вам для того, чтобы разблокировать новых сноубордистов с разнообразными способностями. Они начнут открываться постепенно, в зависимости от сложности тех заданий, которые вы получаете на каждом уровне.
• Прыгайте как раз перед тем, как слететь с рампы. Просчитать точное время прыжка невозможно, но старайтесь быть максимально аккуратным.
