Prison Architect was first released on 6th October 2015 and was bought by over 1.25 million players in its first year on sale. It has received fairly strong reviews on steam (9/10) and Metacritic (83%), with players speaking highly of its engaging nature and good simulation of a prison complex.

As a simulation game, players are given the ability to design, manage and run their own prison facility. Whilst players expand the size of their correctional facility as the game progresses, they will need to ensure that the needs of their growing inmate population are met, as well as preventing them from escaping.

Prison Architect was developed by Paradox Interactive, a Swedish company well known for games such as Stellaris and Crusader Kings. The game is available on Microsoft Windows, Android, Nintendo Switch, Mac Operating Systems, Linux, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Prison Architect Save Files Location

In Prison Architect, game saves are stored in the .prison file format, and their location varies based on the operating system that you're using. See help for your OS below.

Windows

On Windows, you can find your Prison Architect save files in the following folder:

To access that path:

Open a Run window by pressing WINDOWS + R on your keyboard
Paste %LocalAppData%\Introversion\Prison Architect\saves into the text field
Hit OK

On Mac, your Prison Architect saves will be in this directory:

To access that path, just open up a Finder window, press COMMAND + SHIFT + G , paste

/Library/Application Support/Prison Architect/saves into the text field and hit Go ! Simple!

Linux

Linux-based operating systems, will store Prison Architect game saves at this path:

In main menu there is a button that takes you to the save games folder. To be exact they are in in the saves sub folder of that folder.

For me on win 7 it was:
C:\Users\USERNAMONWINDOWS\AppData\Local\Introversion\Prison Architect\saves

Dont think it will free memory, only less than 5-10 mb of disk space. But might as well delete them.

Go to the main menu in-game and click "Open Save Folder". go to the "save" folder and delete both the .prison and .jpg files for the save you want gone.

And yeah, at most the combined size of my 2k+ capacity prison is 10mb, 5 for each file. There are better things you could be getting rid of to save space.

С целью уменьшенить однообразные вопросы давайте постараемся вместе составить F.A.Q., который потом появится на сайте. Просьба всем поучаствовать в его создание. Писать в виде

Вопрос: Есть ли русский язык в игре или когда появится?
Ответ: Русского на данный момент нет, появится как только разработчики введут поддержку кирилицы в игре.

Вопрос: Я построил прачку/мастерскую, но у меня там никто не работает. Что делать?

Ответ: Нужно заключенным дать указания там работать. Делается это путем Deployament -> Jobs
Указываете этим функционалом на помещение прачки, либо мастерской, нажимаете столько раз, сколько вам нужно рабочих в данном помещении. Максимально допустимое кол-во рабочих указывается сверху над помещением.
И чтобы это работало нужно в расписании уделить время графе Work. Расписание открывается квадратиком Reports, далее вкладкой Regime.

Вопрос: Как остановить нескончаемый поток прибывающих заключенных?

Ответ: Справа внизу квадратик Reports, нажимаем, в нем вкладка Prisoners. Нажимаем на Open в одной из трех категорий заключенных, чтобы стало Closed и данная категория не будет вам поставляться. Если закрыть все три, соответственно никого привозить не будут. И обратно так-же можно открывать.

Ответ: Скажу вам так, может резковато, но если руки из того места растут, то все должно сохраняться. Ищите проблему в системе. Игра тут не при чем. Конкретного решения данного вопроса нет, у любого может быть любая неисправность. Чистите комп от вирусов и т.д.

Вопрос: Как добавить себе денег в игру?

Вопрос: почему же не сохраняется игра, если с компьютером все нормально, вирусов нету и т.д.

Вопрос: заключённый отсидел весь свой срок и не может покинуть тюрьму (т.к. в наручниках)

Ответ: скорее всего он не отсидел свой срок (как правило 2 часа) в изоляторе. Выделите заключённого и переведите его в изолятор с помощью ПКМ. Как только он отсидел там своё время, переведите его в любую камеру (опять же ПКМ), где охранник спокойно снимет с него наручники, и заключённый спокойно покинет ваш маленький Шоушенк.
