Having a LOT of trouble with this boss. Would really appreciate suggestions on how to beat him.
Below is what I have tried so far

Have used the opposite emotion on everyone that the King currently has

Have used jacks to lower his attack speed

Have grinded quite a bit to level everyone up for the fight. last time i tried everyone was at least level 15 (still got my butt kicked) what level did you guys beat him at?

Have gone in with a ton of snacks, but the king just killes everyone too quickly.
- If i use a characters turn to heal or use life jam, then the king will eat a sprout mole to regain all his health, or kill another friend. There just isnt time to do anything. The king does way too much damage.

Clarification: This is the boss you have to beat right before you get to the castle, in Pyrefly forest.

Be Prepared To Be Ecstatic

There’s no fighting the emotions King Carnivore gives you. Every couple of turns, he will do an AoE that raises your happiness. Hero, Kel, and Aubrey will become ecstatic, but Omori can go up to manic. Be ready to miss a lot.

Omori Boss Guide: Sweetheart

Are you having trouble beating a boss in Omori? You spend almost an entire chapter building up to Sweetheart. In fact, the buildup to Sweetheart begins when you first hear about her. Omori’s developers really put a lot of work into the build to this fight, and it can wreck you if you’re not ready. I was reading about how some people struggled mightily with this fight. However, after I’ve finally become adept at the emotion system (and did a bit of grinding beforehand), this fight wasn’t as rough as I had heard about.

Focus Down The Roots

The roots in this fight will “absorb nutrients,” not only healing themselves but King Carnivore himself. Don’t worry about trying to hit AoE damage to hit both roots and King Carnivore himself; it’s best to focus your strongest attacks on the roots. I wouldn’t suggest making King Carnivore angry yet to hit moving attacks on him because he can already almost one-shot the party, even if he does dull attacks.

Be Prepared To Miss, But When You Hit, It’ll Be Devastating

You’re going to miss, and you’re going to miss a lot. However, once the vines are both down, you use a present or annoy to make King Carnivore angry so you can start hitting devastating attacks. He won’t attack you much at this point, so don’t rely on building energy to hit the release energy.

Kel’s Run ‘N Gun and Omori’s Hack Away should make short work of King Carnivore. He does have a lot of heart, so lower his defense and only have Hero attack if you’re all topped off with hearts and juice.

Once you beat King Carnivore, you’ll get a good chunk of EXP and Clams.

The items King Carnivore was guarding wasn’t really worth the trip, but the EXP and clam rewards were.

Omori Boss Guide: King Carnivore

Are you having trouble beating a boss in Omori? King Carnivore is a boss where, if you’re not prepared, can wipe your entire party. Make sure you have some Life Jam on you in case Hero is toasted and cannot use his Homemade Jam ability if one of your party members are down.

How to beat the King Crawler in Omori?

I know I’m super late to this but I’m writing this for anyone who needs to know!! You need to be at least level eight (at least that’s what worked for me). Make everyone sad right at the start end keep them sad. Make Aubrey guard every turn. It really helps with damage control. Then just attack, don’t bother killing the mole spouts if you can’t take them down in one turn. Just focus on the king crawler. Good luck with this fight and I hope I was able to help!!

Come Sad Out The Gate

You’ll want to use a Rain Cloud or have Omori use Sad Poem to get everyone sad, but don’t get used to it. Try to stack sad twice on Omori and Aubrey at the very least to hit some strong moving attacks in the beginning.

When they’re all sad, they don’t take as much damage because her attacks will be dull. Keep Hero on healing with Kel on reducing her speed with jacks. Hit some Power Hits with Aubrey to lower her defense; you’ll see why soon.

After she becomes happier, she’ll use party-wide damage every turn to make everyone angry. This means, no matter what you’ll do, she’s going to make them angry. There’s almost no point in wasting a turn trying to use Hero’s Massage ability or Omori’s Sad Poem to make everyone else sad. You’ll have to start eating bigger damage while doing less damage. However, if you’ve got some Power Hits in, her defense will be low enough to where Omori will still do 100+ damage on his multi-hit attacks, even if they are dull.

Sweetheart Became Ecstatic!

Don’t do what I did. I wasted a lot of the fight trying to get Omori back to sad to hit moving damage, but it wasn’t worth it.

Once she becomes ecstatic, you’ll want to unleash with as many multi-hit abilities as you can. Even if they’re dull, they’ll still do three-digit damage.

You should get in one or two unleash energy attacks to make short of Sweetheart without too much trouble.
