Slime Balls are different items Minecraft will accept in any recipe requiring a green slime ball.
Obtaining
Four of the five types of slime balls can all be obtained in roughly the same ways, the outlier being Coagulated Blood. With the exception of the Magma Slime ball and Purple slime ball, they may be dropped by their respective slimes. With the exception of the green slimeball, they may be gathered from their respective slimy leaves. With the exeption of Blue Slime Ball and Purple Slime Ball, they may be harvested from the "log" of a Slime Tree And all five can be gathered from different slime islands in the form of a Congealed Slime Block. Coagulated Blood can only be gathered through a smeltery or by finding them in Congealed Slime Block form, in on slime island

Trivia
- The Slimesling uses the vanilla Bow animation.
- The gamerule "disableElytraMovementCheck" must be set to true in order to smoothly move from chunk to chunk smoothly without stopping midair.
- When aimed straight down, the Slimesling will launch the player 22 blocks upward.

The Slimesling is a utility item used to launch from the ground.Trivia
- You can craft any slime ball into a green slime block, by using 9 of any combination of slime ball in a crafting table, then you can use the block to make green slime, just in case you can't find green slime, this is a good alternative.
All these slime balls may be used instead of Green slime in any recipe.

Slime balls can be used in a number of recipes. Any of the following will work with any one color of slime ball, and most recipes require the use of only one color, but few will work with any combination of them, resulting in a green color output.
Congealed Slime Block
Ingredients: Any 4 of the same slimeball
Slime Blocks
Ingredients: Any 5 of the same Slime Ball + That Slime Ball's Congealed Slime Block
Slime Boots
Ingredients: any 2 slime + any 2 Congealed Slime Block
If you mix-match colors, you will get green Slime Boots, but if you only use one kind of slime, you will get that slime's boots.
Slimy Grass
Ingredients: Slime Ball + Grass Block
The slime balls used must be the same color, and have to be green blue, or Purple
Slimesling
Ingredients: 2 string + any 3 slime balls + any Congealed Slime Block
Gelatinous Slime Drop
By drying the slime, you can eat any slime, and for more hunger and less bad status effects.
This is the only crafting recipe that is exclusive to only one slime
Ingredients: Either 4 Blue/Green slime + Dirt + Sand OR Blue/Green Congealed Slime Block + Dirt + Sand
If you use Blue, you must use all Blue, If you use Green, You must use all Green

The Slimesling is used as a tool to quickly gain altitude and/or speed. To use the Slimesling, the use key (default right click) must be held and aimed at the side or top of the block to bounce off of. The player must be touching the ground. Depending on how pulled back the Slimesling is, the user will be launched into the air opposite the direction which they were facing when aiming at the block.
Due to the high altitude that results in using the Slimesling, it must be used in conjunction with Slime Boots or any other equipment/item that will negate or greatly reduce fall damage.
