The S+ Item Collector is a structure from the Structures Plus Mod.

UPDATE - AS OF OCT 2020 The S+ Dev's have updated the MOD The replacement is called the "S+ Aggregator", also combining Hatchery(Dodo), Gardener(girl), Collector(Hazard suit and Bunny) and Farmer(Bloke).
It can do additional tasks as feeding metal into forges and taking out ingot ( Dedicated Storage). It also collects rare mushrooms and rare flower which are produced passively.

The SS Item Collector will ignore nearby 'lower' priority forges if a 'higher' priority forge is nearby when considering what forges to distribute metal to:
The SS Item Collector uses 1 fuel every 6 hours.
3rd Party Mod Integration [ ]
Super Structures has special tags that modders can use to add to their modded forges to give them a 'priority' to consider for metal distribution or be able to pull/push Fertilizer & Feces to their custom compost bins

ItemCollectorPriorityXXX - (3 X's meaning a number).
- Modders can allow the Item collector to pull ingots from their custom forges with two tags, one to indicate the priority level of the forge (this tag), and one to allow collection (further below).

If the modded forge has a higher priority and both forges exist nearby it will prioritize the modded forge over the lower priority forge when distributing metal.

I have an S+ Item Collector picking up poop and distributing it to my compost bin, I've given it propellant and activated it but for some reason it still said it was unpowered. I put an electric output next to it to see if it needed power, however that made no difference.
Am I missing something here?
From the patch notes:
- All structures that use fuel now will automatically use power if its available or fuel if its not (you do not need to manually swap them anymore)
They now function exactly like the tek light. They will ALWAYS show their power status, even if using fuel.
Just like before, you can't power any of the S+ collectors with anything but their fuel or a tek generator. They will not accept power from an outlet.
Note: The patch note is slightly inaccurate when it says "All structures that use fuel", I meant "All structures that can swap fuels".
