2 Monthly Packs or

"worth it" is really your choice, monthly packs seem to be the best way to do it, because you get the most value out of it but you have to wait a month till you can buy the next pack,

Those 7 heroes could be god tier or fodder its all RNG so you have to decide.

The perks of vip 3 are pretty stellar even if the heroes you get suck so factor that in too

Any explanation why?

Been playing for about 14months, VIP 3 is solid place to be :)

The real question is. Do you have a job? Struggling to pay the bills? If you have spare cash go for it.

Yeh i can definatley afford $30 ovef 2 months, just seeing others opinions, will also ruin my f2p pride, plus from what i understood once you hit vip 3 you keep it forever

Idle Heroes FAQ and Newbie Guide

Your first goal should be to get a team of six natural 5 star heroes. A natural 5 star hero is a hero that does not have a 4 star form; it only exists at 5 stars and above. Natural 5 star heroes are always stronger than 4 star heroes evolved into 5 star heroes. Natural 5 star heroes have higher base stats and typically have better abilities. If you have fewer than six natural 5 star heroes, always replace a 4 star hero on your team when you receive a new 5 star hero.

Join a guild and start participating in Guild Wars and Guild Raids to earn Guild Coins. Guild Coins can be used to purchase certain 5 star heroes and upgrade the different hero types through Guild Tech. Start earning Guild Coins as soon as possible.

Stock up and save all Heroic Summon scrolls, Casino chips, and Arena tickets. All of these are used to complete the weekly events and you often need several hundred of them to earn the top prizes.

All natural 5 star heroes can be obtained through Heroic Summons.

Some natural 5 star heroes can be obtained through Basic and Friendship Summons.

All natural 5 star heroes can also be obtained through Prophet Orbs at the Prophet Tree, including new heroes.

All natural 5 star heroes (except for Dark and Light faction) can be obtained through Prophet Tree replacement.

Lutz, Dragonslayer, Fat Mu, and Mirage can be obtained through Casino wheel gambling. These four heroes and OD-01, Balrog, Eddga, and Kharma can be purchased with Casino Coins.

Many natural 5 star heroes can be obtained through the campaign or by beating specific levels in the Tower of Oblivion and receiving 5 star shards.

Dominator, Gerke, and Dark Arthindol can be obtained by gaining VIP levels.

Many natural 5 star heroes can be purchased for Guild Coins and Soul Shards.

Some natural 5 star heroes can be obtained by gaining VIP 3 and completing 100 Heroic Summons.

You get 50 5 star shards for a specific hero every 30 days for your login bonus. First 30 days is Starlight, then Lutz, Mirage, and others follow.

See the above spreadsheet for exactly which heroes can be obtained through the various methods.

Your lineup does not matter at all until you have a team of six natural 5 star heroes. With very few exceptions, the only heroes worth using in a lineup are natural 5 star heroes. If you have fewer than six natural 5 star heroes, use all of the natural 5 star heroes you do have, and whatever 4 star heroes you think look cool.

Once you have six natural 5 star heroes, the best formation to follow is Tank -> Main Damage in the front row, Off-tank/Damage in the first position of the back row, and the remaining slots with Damage. The reason for putting your Main Damage in the 2nd slot is that most offensive abilities target the back row, very few powerful damage dealers target all enemies or the front row. Therefore, the 2nd slot is the safest slot on your team.

Which 4 star heroes are worth upgrading to 5/6 stars?

Later in the game, it is better to be careful about who you take to 6 stars and who you use as fodder. Taking a hero to 6 stars uses 6 5 stars of the same faction, which can potentially keep you from upgrading a better hero from 6 stars to 7 stars. 6 stars are needed to upgrade a hero of the same faction from 7 to 8 stars and from 8 to 9 stars, but it can still delay your progress.

With the introduction of 10 star heroes, any hero can be used for fodder if you upgrade them to 9 stars. This reduces the impact of upgrading a bad hero early on.

Generally the first 6 star hero people get is Faceless because she can be bought from the Guild Store and Altar store; she is an amazing assassin and will help you progress a lot.

Only upgrade a hero to 7 stars and above if you plan on using that hero at end game or if you plan on using them as fodder once they reach 9 stars. Even if you upgraded a bad hero to 7+ they can still be used in Trial of the Champion and Brave Trial, so are not completely useless.

The only heroes you want to use as fodder are those that are not top tier or useful end game. Generally you should try to only use fused 5 star heroes as fodder and keep most natural 5 star heroes. There are exceptions, as some heroes like Baade, Fat Mu, Gusta, and others are extremely common and also terrible heroes that can safely be used as fodder. In addition, the meta changes, new heroes are released, and heroes are buffed/nerfed occasionally; you never know who will be top tier in a month from now.

Immediately sacrifice all 1 and 2 star heroes, they currently serve absolutely no purpose in the game whatsoever. If you have room, save 4 copies of all 3 star heroes as they can all be used to fuse 4 stars into 5 stars at the Creation Circle. If you do not have enough room in your inventory, look at which 4 star heroes you are close to fusing into a 5 star and keep 4 of the 3 star heroes required to fuse them, and sacrifice the rest that you don’t need.

Generally you should never sacrifice 4+ star heroes to the Altar because it can seriously slow down your overall progress, as 4 stars are much more difficult to get than 3 stars.

What is the next event? When is the next _____ event?

Nobody knows what the next event will be except for the devs. It does not follow a set pattern, though events generally do not occur back to back. There are 5 standard events (Casino, Summon, Tavern, Fusion, and Militant) so generally events repeat every 2-4 weeks. There are also special events such as item collection and special bosses, but those are incredibly unpredictable. Prophet Orb events occur every 2-3 months.

For most events, save as much currency for that event prior to the event beginning. For example, save all of your Heroic Summon scrolls until a summon event occurs; save all of your fodder and fusions for a Fusion event; save all Casino tokens (except 2 per day to complete daily quest) until Casino event; save all arena tickets (except 1 per day to complete daily quest) until Militant event.

For Tavern event, save any 6 and 7 star quests you get before the event begins. Assign heroes to them BUT DO NOT COLLECT THE REWARDS. Save them until the Tavern event. As long as a quest is in progress it does not count towards your daily total quests upon reset. Once the Tavern event begins, collect the rewards and they will count towards your Tavern event total. Odds of rolling a 7 star quest are extremely low (

0.4%, 2500 gems worth of refreshes each) and you may not receive 2. If you get a first 7 star quest but not a second, save it until the next Tavern event.

If you are a monthly card player, you should still be able to get the top prizes in every event except for Summon events if you login every 3 hours to refresh the Market and buy any scrolls/tokens/tickets that show up.

Should I spend currency to complete all of my daily quests every day?

All daily quests should be completed every day except for the Heroic Summon quest. To complete all daily quests you need to spend 2 Casino Tokens and 1 Arena Ticket (first 2 battles each day are free), and from completing other quests you will get 2 Casino Tokens back and 2 Arena Tickets. Only complete the daily Heroic Summon quest every other day when you receive a free Heroic Summon. The reward for completing the Heroic Summon quest is Spirit (useless, you will have millions stockpiled late game) and 100 gems for doing all daily quests, but a Heroic Summon will cost you either 250 or 150 gems, so it is not worth it to complete this quest except on days you get the free summon.

How do I get past _____ stage in campaign or Tower of Oblivion?

If you cannot consistently get very close to finishing off a campaign or tower level, all you can do is wait until you can upgrade your heroes to a higher star level. For example, if you can only kill 2 of the 6 enemies in a Tower level, it is very likely that no amount of team composition switching or items will help you, just be patient and upgrade your heroes then come back in a week or two. However, if you can get very close to finishing a stage, the best you can do is equip your entire lineup with artifacts that deal damage against the enemy type you are facing. Aside from that, pray for good RNG on your crits and attack targets.

All heroes can be obtained through Prophet Orb summons, even new heroes such as Eddga and Flamestrike. Keep in mind that natural 5 star heroes only have a

All heroes can be obtained through Prophet Tree replacement, except for Light and Dark heroes, they cannot be selected for Replacement. Generally it is not recommended to use replacement on anything other than a 5 star hero.

Generally it is not worth it to spend orbs on Light and Dark summons. These heroes are very hard to upgrade and the chances of receiving them are incredibly slim. The factions with the best chances of receiving decent heroes are Fortress and Forest faction because of their high concentration of powerful heroes.

The best faction to spend Prophet Orbs on is the one in which you are close to upgrading a hero from that faction, and already have a first copy of. For example, if you have a Barea and need another to upgrade him to 6 stars, spend them on the Abyss tree.

Early game, it is recommended to spend your Prophet Orbs as you get them since they are a huge source of progress early game. As you get more higher level heroes, save your Prophet Orbs for events since they offer top tier heroes as the highest prize (for example, Blood Blade and Sigmund were recent rewards for 120 orb summons).

The absolute best value from the Market is the Heroic Summon scroll for 150 gems. Following that, the best values are the Casino Chips and Arena Tickets (10 packs or single). Orbs and Branches are always worth purchasing if you are a VIP player and have enough gems to spend on them.

It is recommend to never spend gems on things like dust, heroes, or spirit, they are absurdly expensive for what they’re worth and not a good value, especially if you are a F2P player. If you desperately need a 3 star or 4 star that appears in the Market for gold, they can be worth purchasing.

The Basic Summon scroll is also not worth it; gold is the rarest and most necessary resource late game and these are a gold sink, if you are completing the daily shard event every day you will end up with tons of 3 star summon shards anyways.

Aside from the items in the Marketplace mentioned above, the best value for your gems is refreshing Tavern quests. It is recommend to refresh your Tavern quests daily until they are 4 star quests or above. Some days you will fall behind, but over a long enough period you will always end up ahead, especially if you get lucky and roll quests that reward you with Heroic Summon scrolls.

If you are a VIP player, the best value for gems is spending them on additional Hero Challenge raids which reward you with 3 and 4 star hero shards. ALWAYS do the Hero Challenge as many times as you can; having huge stockpiles of 3 and 4 star hero shards will help you fuse more 5 stars and therefore progress much faster.

The absolute best value are the monthly cards. They give you far more gems than any other offer in the game, but they take time. If you don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on the game, only buy the monthly cards and be patient.

You spend gold and Guild Coins to upgrade various attributes of each hero type. These bonuses apply to your heroes only. The attribute bonuses are included in your hero stat screens (new as of a couple of patches ago). Guild Tech is maintained regardless of which guild you are in and does not reset if you join a new guild.

With the recent updates, all monsters are very well balanced and there is still a lot of debate over which pet is best. In the end, there is no "best" monster; it depends on your lineup and current game mode.

Here is a rough breakdown:

Wolf: Best for marauders and guild bosses for the attack increase and armor reduction (bosses have huge armor so armor reduction is especially effective)

Deer: Best for Brave Trial, high level guild bosses, and sustain teams due to his huge armor increase, decent attack increase, and powerful healing. On 9 star heroes his heal hits for 150k+ and on 10 star heroes can heal over 250k+.
