Cabbage-pult lobs cabbages at half the fire rate of a normal Peashooter, but deals twice as much damage for each cabbage meaning that Cabbage-pult deals identical damage per second to Peashooter in practice.

Cabbage-pult is unlocked by completing Player's House - Day 4.

Prior to Version 7.1.1, Cabbage-pult was unlocked after beating Ancient Egypt - Day 2. In the Chinese version, Cabbage-pult is still an Ancient Egypt plant, unlocked after beating Day 1 instead.

Cabbage-pult was rewarded to the player for finishing Level 2-1 of Ancient Egypt.

When Cabbage-pult is given Plant Food, it will launch big cabbages at every zombie and obstacle on the lawn, dealing 200 DPS to each zombie or obstacle. These cabbages can't be deflected by the Jester Zombie.

Arma-mint effect

When boosted by Arma-mint, Cabbage-pult does an additional 120 DPS on its normal attack and an additional 600 DPS on its Plant Food attack. Cabbage-pult's firing rate will be increased to 1.5 - 2 seconds.

Strategies

Cabbage-pult is generally more useful as a starting plant compared to Peashooter and area-of-effect plants, as it is capable of bypassing obstacles, such as tombstones in Ancient Egypt and the Dark Ages. Cabbage-pults can also be a good starter in the Pirate Seas, as they can defeat Barrel Roller Zombie without destroying the barrel first. They are also great with fighting Excavator Zombies and underwater Snorkel Zombies.

However, it is advised to use Peashooters or area-of-effect plants rather than Cabbage-pults in the Wild West and Frostbite Caves, since the slower rate of fire will hamper Cabbage-pult when combating Zombie Chickenss and Ice Weasels. But you should also not use Cabbage-pult to the Parasol Zombie because Cabbage-pult can do no damage to it. It is also recommended that you use area-of-effect plants rather than Cabbage-pult or Peashooter in Dark Ages because Jester Zombies will constantly reflect them dealing a lot of damage to your plants.

Cabbage-pult's Plant Food ability will be the first tool available that could affect all targets on the screen, regardless of zombie density. While it is relatively weak, as Conehead Zombies and other moderate-health zombies can absorb multiple hits from the Plant Food ability, it is reasonably useful for neutralizing large amounts of weaker enemies and clearing the way for more powerful offensive plants and can also be used as a life saver if there are many weak zombies about to reach the lawn mowers or house.

Strategies

Arma-mint is very useful in most artillery based strategies, as its effect boosts the damage of all the plants in its family, as well as the recharge of Coconut Cannon and Banana Launcher, making it very effective at clearing out large amounts of zombies.

Arma-mints other effect is also good since it can stall the zombies for a decent amount of time, as well as picking off lower health zombies. However, it should be noted that Arma-mint does not fire its projectiles immediately after its planting, so there has to be some planning and good timing when using Arma-mint.

As Arma-mint's family consists almost entirely of lobbed-shot plants, Arma-mint based strategies are very effective in Ancient Egypt and Dark Ages to help avoid tombstones. It is also pretty effective in certain Lost City levels without the Parasol Zombie, as Arma-mint family plants can take advantage of the Excavator Zombie, as well as the Gold Tiles to help generate sun for more expensive plants.

Arma-mint has noteworthy synergies with Banana Launcher, Coconut Cannon, and Melon-pult. When boosted by Arma-mint, Banana Launcher and Coconut Cannon will both do massive damage and reload at extraordinarily high rates, making them excellent at clearing hordes of strong zombies. Melon-pult on the other hand gets a sizable damage increase, making him very effective at clearing out hordes of zombies in general.

Avoid using Arma-mint in "don't lose more than X plants" since it is an instant plant and will vanish quickly.
