На этот раз, действия игры разворачиваются в не большом городке Уинтер-Хилл, где вскоре и закончатся.
При полном исследовании, игра занимает около 7-8 часов (проходя без спешки)
Для идеальной игры мне пришлось пройти ее вновь, где на все ушло, чуть больше часа.

СЮЖЕТ (без спойлеров)
Итак, мы прибываете в родной городок Уинтер-Хилл, вместе с детективом по имени МакГаффин, где вскоре Люциус должен исполнить своё предназначение.
Для этого нужно найти и убить 4-х всадников, которые подходят по описанию пророчества, чтобы открыть печать.
В конце пути, от вашего принятого решения будет зависеть финальная сцена. (Я конечно ожидал большего. все же заключительная часть как я слышал)

Весь сюжет поделен на главы - всего их 7, не считая пролог.
Для того, чтобы посмотреть другую концовку, необязательно проходить игру с самого начала, достаточно загрузить последнее сохранение и принять иной выбор.

ПОПЫТКА ВСПОМНИТЬ ПРОШЛОЕ
К сожалению, я мало что помню из предыдущих серий игр и поэтому, привести какие-либо сравнения мне сложно, но забагованый мир из Lucius II , мне точно не забыть. Чуть позже я постараюсь сравнить эту часть с ее предшественниками и сделать вывод.

На самом деле, я долго думал над покупкой этой части, но позже решил - раз знаком с предыдущей серией игр, так почему бы не познакомиться с 3 частью. Я думаю, кто знаком с миром Lucius, вы меня прекрасно понимаете из-за чего возникают такие сомнения - вся серия довольно спорная (за исключением, на данный момент, первой части), а платить за море багов и отвратительную оптимизацию как-то не хочется, но эту игру я взял по хорошей скидки 70-75% и вполне доволен.

МАЛЕНЬКОЕ СРАВНЕНИЕ
Перед покупкой я также ознакомился с отзывами других пользователей и после прохождения Lucius III, со многими я полностью не согласен. Я не говорю, что игра идеальная, вовсе нет, но она вполне играбельная.

Оптимизация - как ни смотри она стала намного лучше по сравнению со второй частью и меня тут никак не переубедить. Я прекрасно помню эти 10-15 fps во второй части. 10-15 fps бл..дь!, а вы пишите, что не довольны просадкой до 30 fps. Да, игра плавает 50-30 fps, но не 10-15 fps.
Зачем писать такой бред, что 3 часть хуже 2-ой?

Графика - такой же вопрос. Вы забыли свои очки? Или все же забыли что такое НАСТРОЙКИ? Да, графика здесь в раза 3 лучше предыдущих серий!

Цена - Как многие пишут, что она не стоит своих денег. Согласен! Но кто вас заставляет покупать за полную сумму? Дождитесь скидки. 75% вполне все окупается.

Это было маленькое сравнение за счет недовольных личностей, а теперь перейдем к геймплею.

Геймплей

Как и в предыдущих сериях Lucius, игровой процесс опирается на исследовании местности с целью найти свою жертву и устранить ее, но уже в открытом мире.

После пролога, вы вправе идти куда пожелаете, но только вот занятся в этом открытом мире с одной стороны есть чем, с другой - все как-то глухо.

  • собирать болванчиков для 3-х достижений игры
  • по своему желанию совершить 9 дополнительных убийств, где 3 убийства происходят в одной сцене, следовательно мы можем увидеть 7 доп. сцен с убийствами.
  • собирать сюжетные предметы, которые нужны также для доп. убийств

Так что, кто пишет, что в игре нет случайных жертв - это бредовая ложь.

МЕЛОЧИ ИГРЫ
Быстрое перемещение - после того, как мы побываем в какой-либо области, то в дальнейшем с помощью карты мира мы можем быстро переместиться в нее.

Обличие ворона - Люциус способен принимать обличие ворона и парить высоко над городом. С помощью этой способности мы быстро добераемся до той или иной области, когда она еще не открыта. Для каждого превращения требуется сердце ворона. С этим проблем не будет, т.к. в городе их полно.

Костюмы - в нашем гардеробе имеется 5 костюмов, которые мы можем сменить в любое время.

Сам понимаешь, я не хочу лишний раз туда-сюда мотаться ради мальчишки, в котором играют гормоны. Втирать тебе моральные принципы и прочую лабуду, будут в школе, так что я тебя сейчас просто предупредил. Помни, ты залез на поле бывалых игроков и ты им сейчас помешал. Будут последствия, уж поверь. Хотя я твой фанат…

О-о-о, а с тобой ещё и детектив, который расследовал то дело? Это ведь ему, в конце концов, удалось спасти из горящего Данте-Манор лишь одного мальчика. Его прошлое отразилось на расследовании, и вскоре, как я вижу, он оказался просто пешкой в твоём плане. Неплохо, далеко по жизни пойдёшь… Вижу, карапуз, решительно настроен на выполнение пророчества, а силёнок, то хватит с нашим начальством тягаться? Это у обычных людей пока не будет явных подозреваемых, мотивов и улик, они даже не посмотрят в сторону преступления, но у нас-то чуть иначе обстоят дела, хоть в курсе? Если просто – как бы мы всё записываем в блокнотик, а потом, бац, и ты уже не отвертишься. Через нас все проходят, и твоя крыша тебя здесь не спасёт – лишь вопрос времени.

Ну да ладно, мы ведь встретились не просто поболтать по душам, у тебя есть то, что нам принадлежит. Кстати, а ты какой-то неразговорчивый! Кивни если, хоть слышал, что я сейчас тебе пытался пояснить! Прояви уважение, я ведь за тобой прибираю из самой больницы Святого Бенедикта. Вороху, конечно, там навёл знатно, но хоть понимаешь, что новые смерти повлекут за собой события, которые, ознаменуют концовку войны между небом и землёй. А оно тебе надо? Ты не туда воюешь! Сидел бы себе спокойно, играя в песочнице, копал ямки для зазевавшихся ворон и не мешал бы взрослым дядям. Они сами прекрасно разберутся. Так нет, он влез своим носом в самую бурю и захватил в свои лживые объятья Свиток, закрытый семи печатями. И зачем он тебе нужен, а? Рисовать захотелось? А если сейчас ремня дам?

Lucius III is the sequel to Lucius and Lucius II: The Prophecy. It is the final game in the series and was released on December 13th, 2018.

Lucius is back. This time he returns to his old neighborhood of Winter Hill. Through trials and tribulations we will finally see where the road takes him.

It's a difficult one. For the first time, his choices come to question.

Is it finally time to end it all?

The game follows Lucius and McGuffin as they commit a series of murders in Winter Hill, in order to break the scroll's seven seals and bring about the apocalypse.

Biography

Lucius

As the opening intro suggests, Lucius has been possessed by a demonic entity since birth, but this only becomes apparent after his sixth birthday party, when Lucifer suggests that he locks a maid in the cooler and freeze her to death. Said turn of events was made possible thanks to the pact between his grandfather and Lucifer in order to fulfill the unholy prophecy where the boy will rise to lead his fellow satanists. Subsequently, Charles' genes in him were rewritten into that of the Devil through said possession, effectively making him Lucifer's biological son as opposed of the former's.

Learning of his unholy affiliation on June 6th, 1972, Lucius embarks on a year-long campaign of sacrificing every one of the Dante households to his spiritual progenitor, Lucifer.

Starting with staff and moving to family, Lucius accomplishes this covert genocide by planning "accidents" and using his supernatural powers for furthering Lucifer's influence and instating pandemonium, all while evading suspicion from both the residents and law enforcement.

At the end of the game, Lucius' power increases and sets the mansion ablaze before battling two priests and his father, leaving only Lucius alive and tricking the detective McGuffin into believing that his father was the killer.

Lucius II: The Prophecy

In the second game, Lucius is sent to St. Benedict Memorial Hospital by unsuspecting caretakers out of their belief that he was "traumatized" by the deaths that occurred around him. During his stay at the hospital, he receives no contact from Lucifer, his powers mysteriously vanished since the last time he used them, and gathers several followers who protected him.

Six months later, a nun is brought to the hospital, and Lucius proceeds to attack her, which causes the staff to put him into shock therapy. When two of the staff members try to shock him, he regains his powers and brutally murders them. He rampages through the hospital, collecting souls to regain his strength and also discovers the existence of another Antichrist: his half-brother Isaac Gilmore.

Isaac shared the same goals as Lucius, but only one of them was meant to succeed. After finally killing Charles, who revealed to have survived his previous killing spree, and being joined by McGuffin, who was corrupted by Lucifer, Lucius begins wreaking havoc on the town of Ludlow. He prepares for a fight against Isaac that will determine who is the true Son of the Devil.

With the fourth horseman being Death, McGuffin suggests a killer will suit the role. There have not been any fatal cases in the area (except for those at Dante Manor, of course), so things seem to hit a dead end. After some investigation, Lucius finds out that Banter, the owner of the local Motel, has been killing female guests staying for the night at his establishment. Using mind control, the dark prince makes Banter stabs himself to death.

Chapter V: The burning love of Christ

With the collection completes, a heavy storm starts to form over the town. For the fifth seal, Jack suggests "painting the moon red" by sacrifice everyone left. Meanwhile, the remaining residents, along with Lt William, all seek shelter in the town church. Seeing Lucius entering, Lt William, who has been suspicious of the duo, rallies the people to stand up against the AntiChrist. Unfortunately for them, none can stand against the hellfire, and they are all evaporated in an instant. Jack enters to announce that the fifth seal has melted off. In a heart-to-heart conversation, the detective suggests finding the Knife of Destiny - just in case things go wrong, they still have the means to act against Lucifer. But before Jack can finish his sentence, Lucifer himself appears and kill the man by brutally ripping his heart off. Expressing disappointment and accusing his Son of betraying him, Lucifer takes the scroll and "ground" Lucius for one week on Earth. During this time, the Apocalypse will happen and destroy everything, thereby killing Lucius as well.

Chapter VI: Sooner or later, they all turn

  • Lucius can either take Gabriel's hand and fly with him up to heaven.
  • OR, Lucius can pick up the Dagger and backstab Gabriel as well. With everyone out of his way, the Son of the Devil promptly ascends the throne, taking his father's place. Sitting on the frozen throne, the new ruler of Hell emotes for the first time in his life: a devious smirk of victory.

Personality

Due to his quiet nature, little is known about Lucius's personality before his awakening into the Antichrist. However, Lucius is portrayed to have an above-average intelligence in science, as is evidenced by learning biology at just six years old. Yet, he seems to be the only average when it comes to mathematics.

Underneath, Lucius is revealed to be quite witty through his journal entries, often making clever and sometimes cruelly humorous remarks about the deaths of certain subjects. Lucius is very creative and efficient in his methods and doesn't waste his time on the sadistic torture of his subjects while trying to complete his objectives, in the way that his half-brother Isaac did.

Demonstrating a very calm demeanor through the entirety of these events, Lucius is never shown to be in a state of panic, fear, or rage. He proves to be very determined to answer his calling, as is displayed by his attempts to kill a nun while stripped of his powers.

Appearance

Lucius appears to be a neat-looking young child around seven years old. Although there are several other outfits he can change into, he usually wears a classy black suit with a matching tie tied into a Windsor Knot - mirroring the case his birth father has.

In I and II, Lucius has short hair with a messy bang. In III, he changed that into a left-sided pompadour.

Lucius has a small birthmark dot on the left side of his face, near his mouth.

Several side characters note that Lucius looks "delicate" and "fragile" while Gabriel himself says he finds the boy "innocent-looking." Ironically, this deceptive appearance allows Lucius to go around wreaking havoc and causing all kinds of misery without being suspected.

However, those close to Lucius (like his parents and Detective McGuffin) seem to be unconsciously unnerved by his presence. Jack, in particular, once has quite a scare when turning around and finds the boy standing behind him.

Many times in the games, we hear that Lucius is pretty similar to Drew McGuffin.

Abilities

Lucius has to command over four supernatural abilities:

Weaknesses

Physically, Lucius has a body of a normal human child so adults can easily subdue him in a head-on battle. This leaves Lucius having to rely on tricks and stealth.

True to his father's nature, Lucius is not very comfortable around crosses, which sap his entire energy and render him unable to use his powers. However, this can be prevented when he/the player turns the cross upside down. Other holy objects such as the Bible and religious banners, also shown to affect Lucius.

Since Lucius was able to defeat Isaac with the use of salt in the second game, salt may also be a weakness for him too.
