Ранг Мастерства (Mastery Rank) is a type of level achieved by adding new unlockable items to the collection, as well as increasing character level.

There are two types of Mastery Ranks, Trove and Geode Mastery ranks and each item obtained from their corresponding areas will gain mastery for that location. Different items grant different numbers of Mastery Points with some granting both Trove and Geode Mastery points. 25 points are required to achieve levels 1-5, 50 points are required for levels 6-10, 75 points are required for levels 10-20, 100 points are required for levels 21 through 300, and for levels 301+ the points required is half the next mastery rank (e.g. leveling up to Mastery 301 will require 151 Mastery Points, and leveling to Mastery 302 will require 152 Mastery Points). See the chart below for more details on points required/accumulated for each rank.

Both mastery ranks and rewards are visible in the third tab of the Character Sheet. Players can also use the command /mastery to check their individual/total collected mastery points.

Every Trove Mastery Rank achieved will give the player 0.5% Maximum Health, 0.15% Damage, and 2 Power Rank, for a total of 300% Maximum Health, 90% Damage, and 1,200 Power Rank at level 600.

Additionally, certain ranks will grant various rewards when unlocked. Items granted by mastery leveling will not give additional Mastery Points.

Trove Mastery is uncapped but as far as collectible rewards, the final reward is granted at 700 (that being the dragon Valkartzer, Dragon Magrider). Going anywhere beyond level 701 will only grant the additional stats given upon every level but do not grant any additional rewards (items, collectibles, etc.), however more rewards will be added through additional updates. The amount of mastery that is displayed that players can achieve (although this cannot currently be obtained) is at 1,000 Mastery Rank, but infinite levels can be obtained until the player has collected every item in the game.

Leaderboards allow players to recieve a a variety of name colors depending on which leaderboards they participate in. Here are the different rewards for each type of rank:

  • Yellow/Gold name: 2,000 of players who have the highest accumulated Trove Mastery points
  • Blue name: 2,000 of players who have the highest accumulated Geode Mastery points
  • Orange name: 2,000 of players who have the highest accumulated Total Mastery points between both Trove and Geode Mastery.

Sigil

The appearance of a player's sigil is based on their current Power Rank and Mastery Rank.

Shield

The shield of the sigil changes based on the player's Power Rank.

The wings of the sigil are based on the player's Total Mastery Rank (Trove + Geode Mastery).

Ok kinda ticked so putting there out there for the devs.
I am tired of not getting anywhere with the geode stuff. I run and run for long periods of time, mine for long periods of time, get bombed by those stupid mortar plants and for what?

I finally collect the mats I need, I fill my shimmering reliquary (700 crystal one) make accelerite and a lodestar. I think finally after over a week of not getting anywhere I'm finally going to get a little metamatter. NOPE
I put the reliquary in, use the lodestar and accelerite on it and I get 60 quirkstone. not even enough to remake the lodestar I used on it!

In games I am a turtle by nature, I like to build and gather. BUT THIS IS TOO MUCH!

Here is what I see in this update:
-Running through each tier of caves each time, lost of time wasted
-Having a limited amount of time in there overall, so run out of air and have to start at the beginning again, more time wasted.
-Getting lost and ending up backtracking and losing said time.
Dodging stupid PLANTS that want to kill me, which comsumes. air, not health but air which limits my time even more.
-Having to pick between checking out lairs for new eggs or continuing, if I check out a lair it might mean not getting to the tier I need cause of said stupid plants. (more egg grips coming up)
-Mind numbing slow mining! Waste more time not to mention makes me a target for the plants which reduces hit me and reduce my time.
-Eggs are a pain to find to start with, but then the 10 I did manage to get after a lot of searching end up giving me the same critters over and over. So no progress made after all the time wasted searching.
-Material cost of geode items is insane given how slow they are to collect.
-Tomes for the geode stuff are a joke, once a week? And each doesn't even give enough material to make junk items let alone anything useful. Example, gleamstone tome gives 35 gleamstone, 1 accelerite is 50, 1 building recipe is 50; the builderite tome gives 35 builderite, the vfx sparkles takes 160, the antigravity tower right next to it costs 40. not even enough once a week to make the antigrav! Which brings me to the next point..
-Crystallogy is too slow to level, especially given the item cost. I spend all those resources to make a gleamstone tome and it only gives me 1 yes 1 skill point! Thats crazy!
-Too many things are bound to a player. Critters, crystals, metamatter, lodestar, accelerite, eggs, etc, etc all bound. If the end items and the materials to make them are all bound it forces us to waste the time to collect the resources, then RNG comes along and cancels out our work by giving us junk we don't need (refer to above, my getting quirkstone instead of the metamatter i need).

Lower the cost of items and unbind some of it to make it more GAME like and less JOB like. I have played a lot of games and MMOs and this update in terms of grind is probably the worst I have ever seen. Limiting our time on each cave run and making us go the whole way each time is a new low in MMOs! I can only assume the staff didn't play though like a real player otherwise it wouldn't have come out this way. or it did on purpose to milk wallets, I don't know which. I get the game needs money to stay open but holy cow, the time wall in this patch is a real turn off. I can only assume all that work wasn't done with the intent of making players, even us turtles want to stop and run.

I don't need the game to be a job, it's a game. I am done with this update til something is changed!

A couple Suggestions:

-Let us teleport to the start of each tier; calculate the average time it takes to go through 1 tier of cave (which seems to be about 4 mins) and deduct that amount from our tank based on what tier we TP too.
GasRemaining = TotalGas - (Tier * TimeAverage)
So if we TP to T4 and assuming we have 20 mins of gas:
gas remaining = 20 - 4*4 = 4 mins remaining on arrival
It means we still have the same amount of time in the cave, but don't sit here doing nothing but running up and down cave tunnels!
And if you want put the TP option behind something like mastery, so can't tp to tier 2 til say geode mastery lvl 10, T2 til mastery 20, etc.

-Unbind some of the stuff like lodestars and accelerite. I understand you would be reluctant to unbind crystals, which would be really helpful given the large amounts needed. Let us be able to chose whether we want to farm materials or crystals, or both. But either way some of the grind can be helped by unbinding. Someone grinds crystals, buys/grinds other mats, makes stuff like tomes, lodestars etc, sells them and gets flux for other stuff they need. People buy said things like lodestars use them and MAYBE gets some metamatter now and then.

and then fail to get metamatter all on their own. It doesn't take away the stab of RNG, but it does help the bleeding some.

Summary Recap:
The time sink, high material cost then RNG hammer together are just too much!
Just throw us a bone here. just please make some of the teeth pulling go away!
I like the idea of geode, but not the implementation.

The Metamatter Manifesto is a Legendary Tome that can be crafted at the Crystallogy Workbench. They produce 4 Metamatter when they are fully charged. Unlike Common Tomes (that can be used as often as you like without cooldowns), these tomes can only be used once a week, although, they provide more rewards than Common Tomes per individual use.

Shimmering Reliquary, с него падают ресурсы второго и третьего тиров и изредка несколько Metamatter.
С Lodestar падают более ценные ресурсы второго и третьего тиров и повышается шанс на выпадение наскольких Metamatter.

Luminous Reliquary, с него падают ресурсы четвёртого и пятого тиров и с большим шансом, чем в остальных, несколько Metamatter.
С Lodestar 100% шанс на несколько Metamatter.
