CORPSE PARTY -Rebuilt-, unlike the future games, doesn't have chapters and has many endings, depending on who survives. This is a spoiler-free walkthrough of the game.

Do note with this walkthrough:

  • The walkthrough mainly focuses on getting Ending Rank: A, but will note you which options will determine getting other endings.
  • The walkthrough shows the locations of the 10 letters. They aren't necessary to complete the game, but they greatly help solving a puzzle.
  • Save frequently, you can save at any time!
  • By pressing "Space" you are able to run, make sure to use it!

The game will ask you to watch the opening, the choice won't change anything in the game.

Unknown Classroom

  • After you regain control, you'll see a girl on the ground, leave through the bottom door.

Inner Wing - 1F

  • Go up into the classroom using the top door.

Unknown Classroom

You play as five different characters: Satoshi Mochida, Naomi Nakashima, Yuka Mochida, Ayumi Shinozaki and Yoshiki Kishinuma, divided into two groups: Satoshi is with Naomi and Yuka, while Yoshiki is with Ayumi. The walkthough will refer to those groups as "Satoshi's party" and "Yoshiki's party".

Inner Wing - 1F

  • Go down, you'll see a cutscene, when given an option, choose either option (choosing the first option will give you an item.)
  • Go towards the stairway on the south and interact with the hole that's the smallest. It will use an item you collected in the classroom and make a pathway up. Go up the staircase.

Inner Wing - 2F

  • Go east to the next map twice (You are free to enter the classroom in there, but there is nothing to see in them yet). You'll be stopped by an impassable hole on the floor, enter the door above it.

Classroom 2-4

  • You'll see an odd object inside the classroom, interacting with it is optional, Simply leave the classroom without going near the object through the top exit if you don't want to interact with it.
  • If you decide to interact with it, go towards it. Watch the cutscene.
  • When the choice is given choose either option. Watch the cutscene.
  • When another choice is given, choose the second option (Choosing the first one will lock you out of the best ending). Leave the classroom using the top exit.

Inner Wing - 2F

Inner Wing - 1F

  • Watch a scene play out, you'll be cut off from following the other party, go up.
  • Ignore the bridge and the door on the next map: It's optional and will lock you out of the item to use later. Go west.
  • Go into the little hall and interact with the poster at the end of the hall, you'll be now trapped inside the hallway. (Don't worry, you'll be able to escape later.)
  • Read the poster again. Go back and examine the spot where the entrance used to be. Examine the other object in the room.
  • Examine the poster once again and the spot where the entrance used to be. Eventually a cutscene will occur. You'll automatically switch parties.

Note: Once you get yourself trapped please refer to "Satoshi's party - Second Time" and once you get the party freed continue with this section.

  • Go towards the staircase, you'll be stopped by an event. Go interact with the object that appeared, watch the cutscene. You'll get access to the room above you, which is the Science Lab. Going inside is necessary if you aren't going for the best ending.

Science Lab

  • You'll see an oddly colored tile, go towards it. You'll be stopped by an event. A chase scene will begin.
  • Run towards the oddly colored tile, you'll receive an item.
  • Run towards the other side of the room and use the item you just received to make a pathway and wait for your chaser to run towards it.
  • Run back the way you came from and leave the Science Lab without being caught.

Inner Wing - 1F

  • The chase scene is still happening, run to another map!
  • Go back to the previous map without being caught. The chase scene will end.

Note:If you go back to the Science Lab and interact with the thing that chased you or If you were caught, you'll be locked out from the best ending, depending on your options next will change an ending you'll be able to receive.

  • Leaving the Science Lab will lock you in endings B-1, C or D-1.
  • Interacting with your chaser twice and after a cutscene interacting with objects on the table will lock you in endings B-2, C or D-2.
  • If you decided not to go into the Science Lab, go up the staircase.

North Wing - 2F

Inner Wing - 1F

  • Go down into the hallway below.
  • You'll see a hole in the hallway, use the item you just received to make yourself a path.
  • Go down the hallway.

South Wing - 1F

  • Go down and to the right to enter the next map.
  • Enter the door on the top.

  • Go back to the classroom using the door on the left.

Classroom 1-2

  • Go towards the blackboard, an event should occur.
  • Leave the classroom through the top exit.

South Wing - 1F

  • Interact with a moving object. Given an option, choose the first option (This will teleport you to the Unknown Classroom for a shortcut.)

Unknown Classroom

  • Leave the classroom.

Inner Wing - 1F

  • Go up to the big hallway, then turn left and go up the stairs to the second floor.

North Wing - 2F

  • Try entering the classroom that was mentioned earlier.
  • A scene should occur. You'll be sent to the opening classroom.

Classroom 2-9

  • Leave the classroom.

Classroom 2-4

  • Leave the classroom through the bottom exit.

Note: From this point on, going through this classroom won't be mentioned in the walkthrough, but you'll have to do it to get to the other side of the corridor.
Inner Wing - 2F

  • Go back to the staircase to the first floor

Inner Wing - 1F

  • A cutscene will happen. Interact with an oddly colored tile to receive an item. Go back to the second floor.

Inner Wing - 2F

  • Make your way through the hall to the end of it.
  • Interact with the hole on the right side where the staircase is located. You'll use your item and make a pathway for yourself.
  • Use the Staircase to go down.

Inner Wing - 1F

  • Go to the next map, use the 2nd from the left tile to enter, otherwise you'll take some damage!
  • Make your way around the green colored tiles to the staircase. (Touching the green tiles will hurt you and if you take enough damage, you will die.)

Inner Wing - 2F
Note: This map is mis-named in the game, it should be named "North Wing - 2F". As such, this location from now on will be called "Inner (North) Wing - 2F".

  • Interact with the left most cabinet, you'll receive an item. Go back to the second floor.

Inner Wing - 1F

  • Make your way around the green tiles and go back to the first floor.

Inner Wing - 2F

  • Make your way to the classroom with closed doors. Interact with them to enter the classroom.

Classroom 2-3

Inner Wing - 2F

  • Go use the staircase on the east side.

Inner Wing - 1F

  • Using the new item you collected you are able to cross the green tiles, use that to enter the hall you were not able to access without getting hurt. Enter the door on the other side of the green tiles.
  • Examine the desk inside the door, you'll obtain the item. You can use the beds to restore your health.
  • Leave the infirmary.

Note: If you got Yoshiki's party trapped inside the room earlier, read the steps below. If you did not, simply go up using the south staircase back to the Inner Wing - 2F.

  • Go to the left, you'll see a red flame in the next map.
  • Approach it and interact with it. Yoshiki's party is now freed! Go to the nearest pentagram and change to their party to continue with their part.

Inner Wing - 2F

  • Go down the hallway back where the pentagram is.
  • Go to the left, you'll see a long hallway with a lot of green tiles. Cross it.
  • Follow your way down the hallway until you see an interception, go to the left, where the two doors are, enter the right one.

Girls' Lavatory

Inner Wing - 2F

  • Make your way back, a cutscene should occur.
  • Given a choice, choose the second option. (Choosing the first one will lock you in the Ending Rank: C.)

Girls' Lavatory

  • After you regain control, go check out the stall the girl went into. (It's the third to the left.) Interact with it twice. Watch another cutscene happen.
  • Next is a non-text choice!
    • If you want to be on the route to Ending Rank: A, interact with the odd stall. Given an option, choose either option. Given another option, either option is okay.
    • If you are going on the route to endings B-3, D-1 or D-2, simply leave the lavatories.

    Inner (North) Wing - 2F

    Classroom 2-9

    • Interact with the girl on the top left of the hole. (If the girl isn't there, simply interact with the hole from the top.)
    • Watch the cutscene. Given the option, either option is fine.

    North Wing - 2F

    • Go right, you'll be stopped by an event. You'll be given an item.
    • Go right, interact with the hole (not the pentagram). You'll receive an item and give the item you just received a while back to the other party.
    • Head back to the first floor.

    Inner Wing - 1F

    • Head down to the south wing.

    South Wing - 1F

    • Head right, the hole that used to be there is now filled in. Head right and enter the area with the green tiles.
    • To pass this point, you need to go to the middle, where the note is and read it. Then instead of going right, go left and it will send you right past all the green tiles. Proceed to the right.

    Incinerator

    • Go to the right until an event occurs. You'll receive an item. Go back.

    South Wing - 1F

    • To pass to the other side, you have to enter the first green tile, it will shoot you two tiles to the left, then head back to the right, you'll be shot to the note, read it. After you are shot to the left three spaces, just go to the right and you'll be shot to the other side.
    • Head back to the inner wing. (Walking back will be faster than using the moving object to teleport back.)

    Inner Wing - 1F

    • You'll see two doors, enter the one on the left.

    • Open the door on the right.

    • Go back to the incinerator.

    • When you are in the intersection, head right, you'll see that the map has changed.
    • Proceed until you hit a dead end. Examine the wall on the top. You'll be able to use an item to make an entrance. Enter.

    Music Hall of Rotten Flesh

    • Head up until you reach the door in the wall. Enter it.
    • Inside you'll see two statues, interact with the right one and place an item on it. Leave the Music Hall.

    Inner Wing - 2F

    • A new hall has appeared, go through it until you hit a door, enter it.

    Principal's Office

    • Interact with the red flame. Watch the cutscene happen. When given a choice, any choice is fine, Once you regain control, enter the office once again.
    • Interact with the desk, you'll receive an item. Leave the room.

    Inner Wing - 2F

    • Head back into the room behind the music hall.

    Music Hall of Rotten Flesh

    • Once you are in the room, you'll find that the item you placed before is now on the ground. You'll be locked out from the outside now. Interact with the left statue and on the first option, say no. When the second option is given, say yes. After that put the other item on the statue on the right.
    • Go into the door and collect an item. Leave the room.
    • Go around the massive hole in the middle of the room. Interact with a piano on the other side. A cutscene will happen.

    Underground Passage

    • Go down until you see a big four way intersection. Enter it.
    • Go into the hole in the middle of it.
    • You'll be in the maze. Walk into random doors and you'll reach a straight path.
    • Head up, you'll see a cutscene.
    • When given an option, any answer is fine.
    • Head up. you'll be greeted by an event that will transport you down.
    • Head up after you regain control. You'll enter the grave site.
    • Interact with the corpse in the room.

    Note: You'll now enter a boss battle! Plan your party and head into battle.

И вот, 22 апреля 1996 года на конкурсе LOGIN Sofcom No.6 появилась первая игра Corpse Party от 22 летнего студента Макото Кедоин, там ее признали лучшей RPG, а спустя молодой разработчик выиграл от ASCII ENTERTAINMENT приз в сумме 5 милл. йен. Спустя 9 лет Макото снова взялся за Corpse Party. И 26 октября 2006 года вышла Corpse Party BloodCovered на РС, а через некоторое время она появилась и на PSP с названием Repeated Fear.

    Corpse Party обрела множество фанатов и популярность, даже мангу по игре сделали. А в августе 2012 года выйдет следующая часть Corpse Party, уже с перекосом в сторону юмора и кавая.

    В 2012 году в честь 16-летия Corpse Party фанаты перевели Corpse Party -Rebuilt- на английский. Таким образом она стала доступной большинству игроков по всему миру.
