Shrine Quest: The Ancient Rito Song

Talk to Bedoli in Rito Village at Revali's Landing to start the quest. The first half of the song is as follows: "The pride of the Rito, pillar in the sky, its heart lights up, when the sun is high."

Optionally, you can talk to Laissa (near Bedoli) to update the quest log slightly with an additional clue. The second half of the song is as follows: "The heart shines upon a path not whole, but a warming flame can stir its soul."

Head south of Rito Village to the shrine pedestal.

The goal is to ignite a fire on the pedestal when the shadow passes over it. The shadow has a hole in it which at this angle is shaped like a heart. The pedestal will light up when the timing is correct, at 12:35 pm. Hit it with fire to complete the quest and unlock the shrine.

Cannon

Climb up the ladder to the big cannon and drop a round bomb in. When you detonate the bomb, it shoots the orb out to blow up the crates. This will unlock the puzzle.

The puzzle is basically to do the same thing, drop a bomb in, and blow it up. Time it so the orb hits the platform in the distance.

That's it for the altar, but there are also two chests. One is behind a bombable wall in the first room, usually containing a Falcon Bow. The other is past the altar, after a second cannon puzzle - open it to get a Diamond.

In order to actually get the Shrine Quest, you will first need to defeat the Divine Beast Vah Medoh. However, you can still uncover the shrine, even without the clues given from the Shrine Quest. Just south of Rito Village on the other side of the water, you will find a circular pedestal that you can stand on. If you look towards Rito Village and look up to the statue above it, you will see that a hole makes the shape of a heart. At exactly 12:40pm, sun will shine through the heart, right onto the pedestal. While this is happening, shoot the center of the pedestal with a fire arrow. This will cause the shrine to appear nearby.

There is a large cannon here and you can climb the ladder to reach it. Drop a spherical bomb into the cannon and then launch it. It will toss an orb out, breaking a crate and revealing a switch. This will also cause some walls to move. Place another spherical bomb into the cannon and this time you will need to time it so that the ball misses the moving walls and hits the switch ahead.

Run over and speak with the monk, Bareeda Naag. He will award you with a Spirit Orb.
