The World Alternate Universe (more commonly abbreviated as TWAU) is the Stand of Diego Brando from Another World (shortened to Alternate Diego Brando) featured in Part 7 Steel Ball Run of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. It can be obtained by using the Rib Cage of the Saint's Corpse, with a 25% chance.

TWAU focuses more on ranged combat, unlike its arrow counterpart, THE WORLD, due to its decreased knife cooldowns and access to another ranged option -- the revolver. Lack of a Stand Jump also decreases potential mobility for engaging or disengaging from combat. Despite this, TWAU has slightly more crowd control options as it can blind other players with its smoke bombs. TWAU can also combine the effects of the Smoke Bomb with the revolver to cause an explosion, which has a large hitbox and ragdolls anyone caught inside the explosion except for the user. This can allow you to hide in the cloud and detonate it at a moment's notice if anyone attempts to attack.

Usually, this Stand is paired with Spin, due to it having ranged attacks, which you can combo with this stand's ranged moves. Boxing is going to allow the user to land combos with Time Stop, or knockback foes with its uppercut allowing them to gain distance away from other relative in distance, aiding the mobility of this system compared to The World. However, Boxing doesn't benefit the zoning of this Stand at all since TWAU is mainly a ranged fighter. Hamon can also be a good choice because of its damage and defense boosts alone but it also comes with zoom punch and scarlet overdrive which can really help with TWAU's close-combat moves while also being able to take distance with some of the moves much like boxing does. However the same issue with boxing applies seeing as how Hamon has no ranged moves that can aid TWAU when there is a decent amount of distance between you and your opponent. The knives, the smoke grenade, and revolver are unique in the way that they can be used even when the Stand is deactivated or removed via Whitesnake's Spirit Disc steal.

Much like The World, however, and any other stand with the ability to stop time, Gold Experience Requiem can counter its Time Stop with Return to Zero. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, D4C: Love Train and other TWAU users can detonate your smoke bombs with their own revolvers. White Album's Gently Weeps ability also completely negates all your projectile moves.

Skills

LMB - Punch: This short move with a short cooldown deals 8.9 damage at max destructive power and can be combo'd 5 times, ultimately dealing 44.5 damage if all 5 hit.

E - Muda Barrage: TWAU performs a flurry of fast punches that deals about 1.5 damage per hit at maxed stats while yelling 'MUDA-DA-MUDA!'

R - Stand Barrage Finisher: TWAU throws a heavy punch. This move ragdolls the player hit for a short time, dealing 17.7 damage with max stats while yelling "USSHAAA!".

Y - Chop: TWAU will deliver a heavy chop, dealing 16.9 damage at max destructive power, stunning the player hit for about 1.5 seconds. This move can be blocked, however it is not perfect blockable. This also delivers bleed damage for a short time, similar to King Crimson's chop. This move is not cancellable, has little to no end-lag or start-up, and is completely silent, so it makes it a very useful move for combo breaking or immediately after breaking someone's guard as a punish move.

T - Knife Throw: TWAU throws knives in the direction of the mouse cursor. It can be upgraded to throw 3 knives dealing 8.1 damage each at max destructive power. You do not need to have your Stand equipped to use this move, but it does more damage with your stand out. The knives also stun the victim for a short time and have an extremely low cooldown if all the knife upgrades are applied. This move can be blocked. This move can only be used in timestop.

U - Smoke Bomb: Throws a smoke-releasing bomb that covers a large area in mist, blinding people caught inside of it. You do not have to equip your Stand to use this. You can also use it then shoot it with the Pocket Revolver to cause an explosion. Note: Other TWAU/D4C's can also trigger your smoke bomb with their own pocket revolver.

X - Pocket Revolver: Shoots one bullet out of a revolver, using the mouse cursor to aim. Deals 24.2 damage and breaks block at max destructive power. You do not have to equip your Stand to use this.

U + X - Explosion: Shooting the smoke bomb with your Revolver will cause a large explosion. This move does not stack damage with other Smoke Bombs and will ragdoll players caught in the explosion, dealing 36 damage. Going through block

H - Rage Mode: Upon activation, all of TWAU's melee moves damage will be increased by 25% and gain a 25% defense buff. The user can stop time temporarily when using Time Skip in this mode. The Time Stop length doesn't depend on your rage bar.

Z - Time Skip: Teleports the user a short distance in the direction of their mouse cursor.

Z - Time Stop (Rage Mode): TWAU and the user spread their arms out while yelling "Za Warudo! Ore wa no jikan daze! (It's my time!)" before TWAU stops time for 9 seconds at max upgrade. Only other people with Stands that can stop time and have Time Stop Resistance in their skill tree can move; the player that activates the Time Stop can move until the Time Stop ends. Damage hits the enemy all at once when time resumes. Like all other Time Stops, Time Stop can be canceled by Gold Experience Requiem's Return to Zero. This move's length can't be changed by the rage bar, as it will always be whatever length you upgraded it to. Using the Time Stop at 1/4 rage bar will still give you the full 9 seconds.

The World is a close-range power type of Stand like Star Platinum. Its power far exceeds most Stands and is equal to the previously mentioned Star Platinum. The World is the Stand of the main antagonist of Stardust Crusaders, DIO. This Stand is capable of stopping time itself for a limit of 5 seconds (9 when Dio drinks Joseph's blood) This Stand is obtainable from an arrow with a 1.5% chance, making it one of the rarest Stands in-game. The World is now called “The Universe” in-game, in order to avoid copyright issues.

Compared to its Alternate Universe counterpart, The World focuses on close range combat, having two barrages and a Stand Jump for extra mobility with some slight range capabilities with its knife throw. The World's main ability - to stop time - is a major advantage of The World as there are only a limited amount of stands that can move within stopped time.

However, Gold Experience Requiem can cancel out the Time Stop with its Return to Zero ability. Furthermore, Road Roller is a heavily punishable attack when used incorrectly, allowing to put the user in a bad position if it misses.

Skills

The World's skills are similar to Star Platinum's.

LMB - Punch: This short move with a short cooldown deals 8.9 damage at max destructive power and can be combo up to 5 times, ultimately dealing 44.5 damage if all hit.

E - Barrage: The World unleashes a powerful and fast barrage. (1.5 at max Destructive Power, 1.8 Hamon charged.)

R - Barrage Finisher: The World releases a very powerful punch that is able to break through blocks and ragdoll your victims. (11, 17.7 at max Destructive Power.)

T - Knife Throw: The World throws a single knife in the direction of its user's cursor. At the final upgrade of this move, three knives are thrown. This move can be blocked, but only 4 times before the block is broken (at Max Sturdiness.). This stuns enemies. (5.1, 8.1 at max Destructive Power, you can use it without TW out but it won't have the destructive power upgrades.)(only work in ts)

G - Road Roller: TW's user jumps high into the sky, bringing a steamroller down with them, slamming it down where they were previously standing. This move deals close to 70 damage. This move bypass block and ragdolls opponents (25 on impact, 0.9 during barrage phase, 25 more on final hit.)

Y - Kick Barrage: The World throws a flurry of kicks forth at his target which finishes with a strong kick that is very fast and powerful. This ability can be perfect blocked at the start, but if you're late it will be a guaranteed barrage. (1.5 barrage at the kicks, 11 damage at the last kick.)

X - Stand Jump: The World does a huge leap forward, allowing you to climb buildings, as well as run away.

Z - Time Skip: The World quickly stops time and you teleport in the direction of your cursor. It can be used to scale buildings at ease, due to its short cool down.

H - Rage Mode: The user screams and enters a state in which their Stand emits a red effect. This gives a 20% damage boost to all moves and allows use of Time Stop. This also allows you to take less damage.

Z - Time Stop (Rage Mode): The user does a quick start-up animation and yells "Za Warudo! Toki Wo Tomare!" before stopping time for 9 seconds, allowing you to land attacks on your opponent while they cannot move. During Stopped Time, you are unable to run and your Rage Bar slowly gets consumed. You can also jump higher during this time, and so can the people with time stop resistance. When attacking your opponent in stopped time, all projectiles stay in place until time resumes, and you can constantly punch and use knockback moves on your opponent without knocking them back. During this time your opponent cannot counter barrage, leaving you a free barrage. Note that stands with the Time Stop Resistance skill will be able to temporarily fight back, depending on how many times they have upgraded the resistance, and as written above, they will also get this jump boost, allowing them to be able to jump high, and consequently avoid your timestop, or achieve a height where you are unable to use your M1 attacks on them.

Z - Таймстоп: (только в гневе) - Пользователь останавливает время на 5 секунд, что позволяет наносить удары по противнику, пока он не может двигаться. Пользователь не может бежать в таймстопе, и его полоса ярости постепенно расходуется. Также в это время пользователь может прыгать выше.

Всех приветствую, дорогие друзья, я решил воссоздать такую рубрику как "сравнение", сегодня буду сравнивать такие стенды как Star Platinum и The World. Суть рубрики, это определение какой стенд сильнее, и почему, а мы начинаем:)

Оценивать стенды будет по определённым критериям.

Краткое описание стенда:

Star Platinum - гуманоидный стенд, похожий на высокого, мускулистого человека, даже более, чем сам Джотаро. В цветной манге он часто имеет оттенок между фиолетовым, синим, зеленым и немного золотым. Его лицо и тело имеют разный колорит.

У него длинные распущенные волосы. Над глазами и переносицей более темный оттенок кожи, стирающий грань между волосами и лицом. Пространства под глазами, на щеках и подбородке более темного фиолетового цвета и четко отделены от участков вокруг носа и рта. Первоначально, его черты лица были очень похожи на самого Джотаро.

Стенд имеет минимальный ассортимент одежды и доспехов, в числе которых: короткий шарф вокруг шеи, наплечники со спиральным узором, длинные тёмные перчатки с заклепками на тыльной стороне ладоней, наколенники и налокотники, набедренная повязку и короткие сапоги (длина которых стала до колена в 6 части).

Облик Star Platinum был разработан, придавая стенду образ духа-хранителя. Его наплечники похожи на те, что носят в Кулаке Полярной Звезды. Спиральные узоры символизируют Хамон и концепцию бесконечности.

Star Platinum может похвастаться феноменальной скоростью. Он был в состоянии перехватить пулю, выпущенную в упор, быстро разобрался с Silver Chariot (в то время как тот под контролем Anubis), и, как утверждается, превышал скорость звука.

Star Platinum может с хирургической точностью удалить объект, встроенный в череп человека, без какого-либо вреда, поймать и летящую пулю, и такой крошечный стенд, как Lovers, зажав их между его большим и указательным пальцами в воздухе.

В цветной манге The World полностью желтый. В аниме он с серой кожей, имеет зеленые сердечные мотивы и золотую одежду. В OVA, The World имеет серую кожу, бронзовые сердечные мотивы и одежду цвета слоновой кости.

Он назван в честь карты Таро " Мир", последней карты в Большом Аркане и являющейся символом начала нового мирового порядка. Даже до его фактического появления, по слухам, его силы было достаточно, чтобы вселить страх и вселить лояльность в последователей Дио.

В дневнике Дио выяснилось, что он собирался выгравировать на своем стенде 14 фраз, чтобы запомнить их, хотя неизвестно, действительно ли он делал это до своей смерти.
