Sparrows in Destiny 2 are coveted by Guardians for their speed, but which of these vehicles are best? And which are the worst not worth the grind?

Destiny 2 may have tons of cool weapons and armor to grind for, but some of the most sought-after items in the game are the sparrows, hovering vehicles that Guardians can use to get around quickly. While sparrows serve a simple function, some of them have really cool designs that are sure to wow anyone you pass by.

The cooler sparrows can be rarer than some of Destiny 2's exotic weapons, but there are others that you wouldn't want to be caught dead riding in one of Destiny 2's patrol zones. These are some of the best and worst sparrows in Destiny 2.

14 Best – Any Other Sky

The Sparrow obviously has a lot of models. But if any vehicle could be considered the "luxury edition," it'd be the Any Other Sky. Nothing hurts quite like getting destroyed by an awesome handcannon in PvP and then watching the guy who did it drive off in one of these.

It has all of the bells and whistles: gold plating, flashing lights, sleek windows, and a showy engine. There are also some artistic paintings on each side so that everyone from every angle has a reason to drop their jaws.

13 Worst – Veloce Cruiser

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being compact when it comes to vehicle choices. Bigger does not always mean better or fancier. But if that is the design, don't have a gigantic, gaudy pool cue sticking out of the front.

Beginners make a lot of mistakes when using the shotgun, but they make an even bigger mistake when they saddle up in one of these. As if it weren't bad enough, the color schemes all call attention to this defect.

12 Best – Micro Mini

The Micro Mini is one of Destiny 2's most unique sparrows, and you're bound to get a few funny looks if you ride this thing through a patrol zone. It's considerably smaller than a conventional sparrow, so much so that its speed and handling are different from what most Guardians are used to.

It's only obtainable in the Eververse store, so you'll need to spend some Silver to get your hands on it, but it is very much worth the asking price. It's a guaranteed way to stand out amongst the crowd, and it's hilarious to pull up to a public event riding this sparrow.

11 Worst – Equinoctial Edge

For an exotic sparrow, Equinoctial Edge doesn't have a whole lot going on with its design. It looks like it could be a legendary sparrow or even a lower rarity than that, making it one of the worst sparrows in the game. Sure, it's got the speed that you'd expect from an exotic sparrow but is it really worth it with that design.

It was obtained with Bright Engrams during season 6, so it isn't easy to come by anymore. That's about its only saving grace, so if you see someone rocking this sparrow, it's probably only because of its rarity.

10 Best – Vespulaser

This is definitely one of the coolest sparrows in the game, and few sparrows since have matched its unique and stylish design. Outbreak Perfected and Sleeper Simulant have some of the coolest designs of any Destiny 2 weapons, and that design transfers beautifully to a sparrow. The Vespulaser sparrow was released during season 3 of Destiny 2, making it pretty rare nowadays.

A bunch of Guardians still use this sparrow because of its unique appearance, though, so you'll still see it pretty often while out and about. Vespulaser is without a doubt one of the best sparrows in Destiny 2, and even though it isn't exactly the rarest sparrow in the game, it's still worth having.

9 Worst – EV-37 Voidstreak

There's nothing inherently wrong with the EV-37 Voidstreak sparrow, but it's the story that surrounds it that puts it on this list. The 2019 Solstice of Heroes event brought a series of grindy challenges to Destiny 2, rewarding players with a set of Armor 2.0 armor before the armor rework released alongside Shadowkeep.

If a player fully upgraded each armor set across all three classes, they'd be able to claim the EV-37 Voidstreak sparrow. It's a nice reward, but considering it took all that work to earn a pretty run-of-the-mill sparrow without useful perks like Instant Summon, the grind wasn't worth it in the end.

8 Best – Galvanic Fork

Destiny 2 is everything from an FPS game to a looter shooter to a puzzle solver to a treasure hunter. As everyone is scouring the galaxy for whatever they're interested in, they want to look awesome. And nothing is quite as awesome as an active electric beam on the front of a sparrow while tracking down the Dead man's Tale Catalyst.

This voltage goes from the center of the vehicle and straight into the heart of jealous pedestrians. The entire design is also very sleek, going more for length than width. The design is a showstopper for even the hardest fans to please.

7 Worst – The Mirthmobile

"We need laughter now more than ever" reads the quote in the Mirthmobile's item description. Well, whoever is driving this thing will certainly be inspiring a lot of laughter, but probably not for any of the right reasons.

Aside from being tiny, a careful look reveals that this is actually a child's toboggan. The guardian has to get into this hysterical pose to even ride it. Even player's who have unlocked the Salvager's Salvo grenade launcher can't look tough when they come rolling in on this toy.

6 Best – Winchester's Ruin

Winchester's Ruin might not have a design as flashy as something like Vespulaser or one as striking as the Micro Mini, but it's still one of the coolest sparrows in all of Destiny 2. Its design is understated and it might not stand out as much alongside other exotic sparrows, but its rugged look and fabric straps are enough to send chills down anyone's spine.

Because it's not as popular as some of the other sparrows in the game, you'll be able to set yourself apart from the crowd by riding it. It's one of the edgier sparrows in the game, and it'll go perfectly with an armor set decked out with dark shaders.

5 Worst – Hastilude

On its own, Hastilude is a decent-looking sparrow. However, when compared to the rest of the exotic sparrows in the game, it comes across as very plain. Being lucky enough to land an exotic sparrow should be a surprising and rewarding moment, but to find out you got what looks like a standard sparrow with an okay paint job can ruin that moment.

It's not a bad sparrow to ride by any means, but its rarity is the final nail in the coffin. It's not cool enough to be worth the exotic classification, and it's not offensively bad enough to be funny. It's just bland, and sometimes that's the worst thing to be.

4 Best – Burnout

While Hastilude might not even look like an exotic sparrow, it's incredibly obvious what rarity Burnout is. The charred seating and the angled motorcycle handlebars emanate style, and the sparrow itself is always on fire, which is a rare effect for any piece of Destiny 2's equipment, not just sparrows.

Not only is it one of the coolest sparrows in the game simply because of its design, but it is also very rare, so if you ride up to a public event on Burnout, you're sure to turn a few heads.

3 Worst – Warrior's Steed

This sparrow suffers the same fate as Hastilude. On paper, it's an exotic sparrow, but in practice, Warrior's Steed looks like something you can buy directly from Amanda Holliday in the Tower hangar. At least Hastilude had a design. Warrior's Steed utilizes one of the most boring color combinations known to man, and the end result is like the world's lamest Zamboni.

Even if you're lucky enough to roll this exotic sparrow after one of Destiny 2's activities, you're better off shoving it in your vault and forgetting about it, lest your clan ridicule you for riding one of the plainest sparrows in the game.

2 Best – Harbinger's Echo

Harbinger's Echo is another sparrow that you just know is an exotic sparrow. Burnout may have been on fire at the front, but Harbinger's Echo has the advantage of being entirely covered in its awesome Taken effect.

It also serves as a trophy, because the only way to get this sparrow is to complete a task that is only possible with the exotic Wish Ender bow, which itself requires a complicated series of events to acquire. Only the most dedicated Destiny 2 players have Harbinger's Echo, and the sparrow's design just screams accomplished Destiny 2 veteran. Many Guardians fear the Taken, but a select few have risen above the rest and ride a Taken sparrow.

1 Worst – Double Rainbow

Other than being a seemingly random mixture of colors and adornments, the Double Rainbow sparrow had a ridiculous prerequisite for obtaining it, making it one of the worst sparrows in the game. To get Double Rainbow, you had to refer not one, but three separate friends to Destiny 2, and they each had to purchase the Forsaken expansion alongside the base game. This is before Destiny 2 went free to play, so that was a pretty big ask for three separate friends.

Once each friend bought the game, all you had to do was play a few missions and Crucible matches with them, so that part wasn't hard at all. Convincing three people to spend money so you could get an in-game sparrow was the hard part. All for a sparrow that didn't even look that good to begin with.

Всем любителям спэрроу – хаай!

Сегодня мы поговорим о том, как летать на спэрроу. Будет немного теории и два бинда, что значительно упростят весь процесс.

Без лишних предисловий, приятного чтения!

Основная часть нашего движения будет состоять из двух частей: вращения и уклонения.

Начнём с простого. Чтобы повернуть спэрроу в воздухе, достаточно зажать Shift и A (D) одновременно.

Теперь добавим паузы во вращение. Их необходимо делать, когда ваш спэрроу наклонен на бок. Техника при этом продолжит поворачиваться, но кнопки не должны быть зажаты.

Советую тренировать полёты на спэрроу на Нессе (Край Артефакта). Тут полно места для ваших попыток.

Теперь давайте перейдём к уклонениям. Чтобы уклониться на спэрроу, достаточно дважды нажать на A (D).

Но летать с помощью таких уклонений:
а) Сложно
б) Напряжно
в) Я не умею KEKW

Поэтому давайте просто забиндим движение влево (вправо) на колесико мыши.

И теперь уклонения делать настолько просто, что вы даже не заметите колёсико на гифке.

Наконец, давайте заменим перерывы во вращении уклонениями. Если спэрроу на правом боку, то делаем уклонение влево. Если спэрроу на левом боку, то делаем уклонение вправо.

Будем повторять эти действия, пока у спэрроу не кончится энергия. Далее выпрыгиваем из него и вызываем новый.

На этом теория закончилась. Теперь советую перейти к практике и отточить этот навык. Полёты на спэрроу это не только весело, но и полезно для скриншотов. Не всегда можно попасть в некоторые места «легально».

Лучше использовать технику с Маневровыми двигателями или спэрроу Всегда Вовремя (уклонение тратит 1/6 энергии вместо 1/4).
Можно контролировать направление полёта, выбирая момент для уклонения. Так вы можете двигаться быстрее в горизонтальной плоскости.

Кстати, мы говорили, что Башня снова предстала в своем жутчайшем обличье? Украшен каждый уголок! А чтобы усладить не только ваш взор, но и слух, на фоне играет страшная музыка.

Повышаем сложность

Многие из вас уже заметили, что в задании «Расколотый мир» появился новый уровень сложности. Так что можете прокачаться к новому требуемому уровню силы и попытать силы в бою с поистине достойными противниками. Чтобы не было слишком страшно, можете захватить с собой друзей. В сундуках вас ждет снаряжение с высокими характеристиками, так что оно того стоит.

На следующей неделе появится новый уровень сложности и в задании на шестерых. Сражения в «Астральной синхронизации» скоро станут немного острее. Рекомендуется уровень силы 1320. Кроме того, чтобы было веселее, каждый день будут появляться дополнительные модификаторы. Подбирайте оружие с умом, так как во время задания снаряжение нельзя будет изменить. Ну и еще, если ваша боевая группа погибнет или вы не выполните задание, то отправитесь на орбиту. Так что… не умирайте.
