Hi guys. Bit of a random question:
Is there any way to remove some/all of the DLC packs which come with Saints Row The Third?

I'm currently rocking a 120GB SSD so space is pretty limited and would be happy with just the core game for now.

I tried removing dlc1-3.vpp_pc from packfiles\pc\cache, but the game crashed (even if I also disabled all the DLC in gog.ini). Even if you could remove them, they're only 5% of the total install size. A lot of the DLC was built into the game from the start and only separated out for sales purposes.

At least some of the .bik files from the videos folder can be deleted, and they just won't play. If you delete main_menu_bg.bik you'll save 274MB at the cost of a plain black background for the main menu. The two logo_*.bik files play before the main menu and deleting them saves time. 01_crawl.bik is the Star Wars crawl that only plays when you start a new game. You can also save about 60 MB by compressing SaintsRowTheThird.exe and SaintsRowTheThird_DX11.exe ("compress contents to save disk space" in Explorer). Combine all these and you save, er, 0.4% of your total drive space. Better than nothing, I suppose.

Помогает тем кто после прохождения эпилога(первых миссий) оказывается в доме и ему открываются награды за банды всякие рушащие баланс
игры DLC. То советую скачивать этот файл!

1Фикс действует только на тех у кого стоит Skidrow no cd
2Киньте в папку с игрой и просто замените файлы которые там есть.

The purpose of this guide is to show the players how to disable DLC's for Saints Row: The Third. This way a player can pick and choose if she or he wants to play with the dlc's or not.

Please Note you may be able to do this for other games as well.

The first thing you should do is go to your library. Right click on Saints Row: The Third select View Downloadable Content.

Then select the DLC(s) that you do not want to play with right now. You can always activate them again.

If you started from a save that has all the DLC's activated you should see this:

Enjoy your Saints Row: The Third experience while owning all the DLC's and not using all of them.
