Мы все зачитывались этими фразами, пока происходила загрузка игры или боя. Кто бы мог подумать, что довольно жестокая игра будет наполнена мудрыми выражениями серьезных личностей, мыслителей, философов и полководцев.
И ведь мы все впитывали эту мудрость в себя, пока играли. Я даже уверен, что не меня одного эти фразы заставляли о чем-то задуматься.

Македония
Данную статью начнем с родины Александра Македонского. В лучших греческих традициях, македонцы выставляют на поле боя сильнейшую фалангу с длинными копьями - Королевских пикинеров. В прямом столкновении против сильнейших когорт у них нет шансов, но зато в городах они становятся неуязвимы. Впрочем, если игрок умеет расставлять фаланги, не подставляя слабые места под удар, то римлянам и в поле будет очень сложно победить пикинеров.
Следом идут Кавалергарды. Несмотря на весьма сомнительные характеристики, у данного отряда все же есть один огромный плюс, помогающий разваливать противника - очень высокий натиск. Жаль только, что отсутствие щитов и слабая атака сильно ограничивают применение Кавалергардов в бою. Лучшей тактикой остается схема: "ударил - отвел - ударил".
Упоминания достоин еще один отряд, способный применить тактику "Камикадзе" - Легковооруженные копьеносцы. Мощный натиск, быстрое передвижение и высокий боевой дух делают из этих ребят настоящих самураев, готовых отдать жизнь за победу.
Одна из самых гибких фракций в игре, имеющая в своем арсенале достаточно козырей.
Начнем с банальных пикинеров: Фалангиты и Бронзовые Щиты. Насчет Фалангитов сразу отметим, что данный отряд отличается от своих зарубежных коллег двумя пунктами - более низкой численностью и более высокой защитой. Даже Бронзовые Щиты самих понтийцев уступают им в этом. Однако, именно малая численность отряда мешает ему выходить против послереформенных римлян наполе боя.
Впрочем, низкая стоимость содержания делает их незаменимыми в качестве гарнизона для обороны городов. Ну вы поняли - узкие улицы, возбужденные копья, мокрые от пота и крови враги. Романтика, в общем. Касательно "Бронзовых" могу только отметить, что они более предпочтительны для прямого столкновения, чем Фалангиты, из-за более высокой численности и выносливости, которые помогут им сдерживать римлян максимально долго.
Из всадников могу выделить Тяжелую понтийскую и Каппадокийскую кавалерии. Первые - сами по себе разноплановые ребята, способные и бока помять, и численность сократить, и убегающие армии догонять, но в целом, роль победоносцев они не вывезут - маловаты характеристики. Можно собрать из них армию, которая доставит римлянам много проблем.
На роль основной ударной силы претендуют Каппадокийцы. Но заметьте - только ударной силы. Несмотря на высокий параметр защиты и натиска, у данного отряда слабая атака. Проще говоря, эти всадники сильны и смертоносны в движении, при ударе в строй противника. Стоит задержаться в гуще пехоты, и поздние когорты в два счета порубят коняшек на сервелат.
И под конец - Колесницы с лучниками. Еще один злой отряд понтийцев. Превосходный выбор, если вы хотите сократить численность римлян, а затем просто выйти из боя, оставив их с Пирровой победой (бессмысленная победа, равносильная поражению).
Каждый фанат серии Тотальной Войны знает, что во франшизе часто цитируются крылатые фразы и знаменитые выражения известных личностей прошлого.
Лично мне такой ход разработчиков очень понравился. Согласитесь, подобные фразы очень сильно преподносят дух того времени, которому посвящена игра. Скажем, в части "Средневековье 2" можно ознакомиться с цитатами про крестовые походы или политику. Я даже про Николо Макиавелли узнал не от учителя истории, а от серии Total War.
Вот и Rome не стал исключением, вобрав в себя мудрость выдающихся личностей времен той эпохи. И я хочу познакомить вас с теми, которые, исключительно на мой взгляд, несут в себе наибольшую мудрость.

Сильная фраза про смелость и решительность, которых иногда сильно не хватает многим людям, особенно в тяжелые времена. Но, думаю, не стоит примерять на себя это выражение, когда мы не можем решиться между клубничным и малиновым мороженным.

Хорошие слова про патриотизм. И я склонен согласиться с ним. Пока все там делятся мнением, каким должен быть человек, депутат или общество, философ почти три тысячи лет назад уже назвал самую удачную формулу. Мне даже кажется, что Гомер был викингом, ибо только скандинавские страны сумели удачно применить его слова. И не прогадали, в общем-то.

Слишком актуальное выражение, чтобы обойти его стороной. Данной фразе почти две тысячи лет! Поэт, давший дуба в 25 лет, оставил невероятно важное послание всем нам, потомкам всех народов. Он намекнул, что гражданская война - не самая удачная затея. Но кто будет слушать бредни очередного усопшего, даже если он будет прав, не так ли?
