The game is very good, some people say that this is the worst prince of persia, but if you put aside the nostalgy, you would see that this is way better than Sands of Time
Mediocre, but there was more to like than to dislike.
Gameplay feels like severely watered down God of War, to me. One weapon, one way of playing, magic isn't interesting, and the kick is helpful for one of the four total enemy types and none of the bosses, also becoming completely obsolete when you obtain the 2nd sword. Platforming's the best it's ever been in the franchise though, movement feels fantastic and the additional abilities manipulating water make for some really cool platforming challenges, puzzle solving is good enough too. It's worth if you adore the PoP series and don't mind the mediocre combat and occasionally janky physics with a good enough story (basically if your favourite of the PS2 trilogy was Sands of Time then you'll probably get enjoyment from this), though this makes me wanna play and appreciate the original trilogy again.
Also, there's a chance you just straight up can't play the game at all because of how bad Uplay is, a lot of the additional content (all two pieces; the playable character and the additional challenge mode) is also locked behind Uplay and can't be accessed if it decides not to connect to its servers, which is usually never. Thankfully I was able to actually run the game, but it may run the first time and never again, so try and beat it in a single sitting since it's by far the shortest game in the series, at around 5 hours.
