Расскажем Вам немного о стратегии игры в GemCraft Chasing Shadows, а так же дадим некоторые советы, как играть в эту увлекательную Tower Defense стратегию.
Старайтесь использовать сочетания двух или трех камней в башнях, так как они будут заметно превосходить чистый кристалл. Но если Вы желаете сосредоточиться на конкретной особенности камня (замедление, уменьшение брони, яд, цепная молния и т.п.), то используйте чистый кристалл, особенно в ловушках.
Так же есть очень полезная возможность строить стены на пути монстров, что сделает их путь длиннее, а соответственно время на уничтожение врага увеличится:
Полезным может оказаться возможность выбора приоритета атаки камня (нажатие правой кнопки мыши и выбор приоритета), например, атаковать только гигантов мощным камням, а другим атаковать менее сильных монстров:
Если вы хотите атаковать конкретную мишень, то достаточно нажать левой кнопкой мыши на цели и все камни будут атаковать именно выбранного врага:
Чтобы лучше противостоять нападению Тени – постройте несколько башен вокруг шара, что бы защитить его от попадания выпущенных Тенью снарядов:
Улучшения работают очень хорошо на драгоценных камнях в ловушках, поэтому используйте это для создания так называемых ферм для манны, или ядовитых ловушках:
Камни в усилителях отлично поднимают урон, радиус поражения и скорость огня даже нескольких башен без потери мощности.
Когда Вы видите, что монстры неизбежно проходят в Ваш шар, то используйте заклинание проклятия (curse) – это намного уменьшит потерю манны:
Не забывайте усиливать шар выстроив вокруг него усилители с камнями или же просто бросая на него камни:
- Заполучая ачивки (achievements) Вы так же получаете очки опыта, так что старайтесь заработать их как можно больше.
- Иногда полезно не использовать все очки опыта на прокачку навыков, так как не использованные очки дают больше манны в начале битвы.
- Вы можете дразнить волну, бросая бомбы на неё, тем самым увеличивая количество монстров, их брони и соответственно заработаете больше опыта.
- Не забывайте добавлять в амулет найденные талисманы и прокачивать их – это даст хорошее преимущество.
- Если усилить черный кристалл лучем (beam), то он значительно быстрее набирает хиты, тем самым быстрее становиться мощнее
Ну и от себя скажу, что я в основном использую 3 сочетания цвета: красный, желтый и черный, не считая оранжевого для мана фермы.
В игре GemCraft Chasing Shadows есть уровни с компасом. Направление компаса можно изменить, щелкнув на нем левой кнопкой мыши. Так для чего же они?
Всего есть 7 уровней с компасами – это C2, E3, J2, K2, O3, U4, X7. Можно заметить что при загрузке уровней с компасами, внизу индикатора просматриваются силуэты камней разных мастей. Каждый силуэт отвечает за компас определенного уровня.
Стартовый набор силуэтов случаен. Ваша задача менять положения компасов до тех пор пока все силуэты не станут камнями 5-ого уровня (камень в виде буквы Х). Т.е. заходите на карту с компасом, смотрите на соответствующий камень при загрузке, нажимаете на компас, выходите обратно на карту, заново запускаете уровень и смотрите, как поменялся вид камня. Делаете это до тех пор, пока все камни не будут вида Х. Придет уведомление. Далее нужно пройти соответствующий уровень. Что бы не замучиться кликать по компасам приведем таблицу:

Так надо сделать для каждого компаса. Вознаграждением будут новые уровни и талисманы:
- Поле D6
- Талисман (уровень: 34)
- Поле H6
- Талисман (уровень: 42)
- Поле N7
- Талисман (уровень: 58)
- Поле Р6
- Талисман (уровень: 65)
- Поле Q7
- Талисман (уровень: 73)
- Поле X6
После получения всех вознаграждений экран загрузки придет в нормальный вид, так вы поймете, что прошли компас. Удачи!
There are seven Mysterious Compasses scattered around the map. You can change the direction each one is pointing by clicking on it. There is also an achievement called "What Secret Are You Hiding?", completed after spinning one of the compasses all the way around.
Correcting the Compass [ ]
While there's no definite way to tell which of the two possible positions your compass is on just from the first gem picture, it is possible to work it out with the second. So:

Say you enter field C2, you look at the very first gem in the loading screen code, and see that it's a Triangle (level 2 gem). According to the table above, you rotate the compass (click on it) three times, click the option button, choose restart battle. Now, look at the code, it'll be either X shaped (in which case, you can exit and move on to the next field), or Square, in which case you need to rotate two more times (see table, above).
After getting all of the compasses' corresponding loading screen gem to level 5 and beating the field on which you last changed a compass, you will get field markers and Talisman fragments of increasing qualities. Repeat as desired.

Rewards [ ]
Each time you set all the compasses correctly and beat the level, you will receive the following rewards, in order (rarities can be boosted with shadow cores, as normal):
- Fields D6 and H6, talisman fragment (rarity: 34)
- Fields N7 and P6, 2 talisman fragments (rarity: 42, 58)
- Fields Q7 and X6, 2 talisman fragments (rarity: 65, 73)
After the final reward, loading screens return to normal and the compasses no longer have any effect on the game. On Iron Wizard mode, you receive only the field drops, not the talismans.

The following is a list of skills in Gemcraft 2: Chasing Shadows. There are 25 skills. To unlock one, its corresponding Tome Chamber must be opened. Each skill gives two effects. The first increases with each level and the second increases every third level.
Upgrading a skill costs skill points. However, for every unspent skill point, initial mana increases by 7. More of it is needed to create strong gems strong to survive harder starting waves, so it is not always wise to spend all points on skills.
Upgrading a skill to level 1 costs 1 point, 2 points for level 2, and so on. The required total to go to a given skill level is: (n² + n) / 2 , where n is the next skill level.
Crafting, spell, and bomb skills can be upgraded up to level 45, plus extra levels gained from bonuses from talisman fragments and the +10 level for Wake of Eternity by beating Field Y6.

Starting positions for each compass are random. The level of the gem displayed on the loading screen tells you how far away from the correct position the compass currently is, but not which direction. Use the table below to figure out how many times to click. Enter the level, click the compass the appropriate number of times, then return to the map. One of two things will have happened: you will have a level 5 gem, in which case the position of the compass is correct, or you will have a different leveled gem. If you have something other than a level 5 gem, click the number of times indicated in the last column and you will end up with the correct compass setting. If you make a mistake, simply try again, using the new gem shape as a baseline. The aim is to get all the gems to level 5, then beat the field containing the last compass you changed (where E3 is the easiest and quickest to win). Tip: As you're experimenting with compass positions, use the "Restart Level" button rather than returning to the map and re-entering. It's quicker, and you see the exact same loading screen either way.
The reward will drop immediately upon setting the final compass to the correct position. As with any other mid-level drop, you must complete the level in order to receive the reward. Note that this is different from simply recording changes to the compass position! In previous versions of the game, some rewards would be lost if you failed to do so; this is no longer the case.
Levels [ ]
In order to access field C2 in the original version of the game, you must purchase the Magician's Pouch. If you haven't, you can still get lucky and have C2's compass in the correct position for a few cycles. C2 is always accessible in the Steam version of the game.
Skills
Skills written in Bold have no skill caps.
All other skills are capped at 45. However, it's possible to have skill levels up to 60 on capped skills with talisman fragments. Wake of Eternity can have a skill cap of 70 with the right fragments after beating Field Y6.
