Krastorio 2 adds numerous new buildings, items, technologies, and mechanics to the game. Originally developed by Krastor and Linver, now maintained by raiguard.

New resources


Three new resources have been added to the game:

  • Imersite: A rare end-game resource used in many advanced recipes. This material is useless on its own, but when used in advanced manufacturing processes, exhibits ludicrous tensile strength and superconductive abilities.
  • Mineral Water: Water impregnated with various silts and dusts from the planet's surface. Used primarily in the production of lithium.
  • Rare Metals: An analogous representation of various rare elements (i.e. titanium, platinum, gold).

Biter creep


Biters have evolved a passive defense mechanism that drastically slows down other life-forms attempting to attack their hives. This Biter Creep is gross, but will prove useful in your quest to vanquish the territorial bugs from this world.

While the material must initially be harvested by hand, further research into the species may yield a method of growing it in an automated fashion.

Combat mechanics overhaul


Combat has been completely overhauled. Bullets are now physical objects that have speed, wind resistance, and various AoE effects. Bullets have to travel through space to their target, and can be blocked by solid objects.

Auto-aim is disabled by default, requiring the player to skillfully choose what to aim at. This does not play nice with multiplayer latency, so an option to re-enable auto-aim is included in the mod's startup settings.

Science


Science progression has been majorly overhauled. Instead of science packs, you produce tech cards that are inserted into research computers. There are three tiers of tech card, each of which require their own laboratories.

Early-game tech cards will be phased out as the game progresses, allowing you to redirect resources to other parts of your factory.

Equipment


Higher tier equipment has been added, allowing for even greater quality of life during the end-game. Almost all vehicles now have equipment grids.

The mod need this two dependecy to be loaded:

    , this is all graphics of Krastorio, is in separate file because if we need to do fixes you don't need to download tons of MB for some string changed , this is a mandatory library mod, used to improve compatibility
  • Some of Bob's mod (like bobequipment) have conflicts with Krastorio, and compatibility is not planned.

Тут без некоторых хитростей не обойтись. нужно настроить богатство и размеры залежей руды. В остальном - строгое планирование действий и построек, понимание приоритетов в изучении. А самое главное - молл, хоть самый примитивный, с конвеерами, печами, бурами, манипуляторами. В моем забеге были косяки, мне сильно не хватало зеленых микросхем.

Automatic miners and Smelters on yellow belts for Iron, Copper & Steel.

Also includes Science production for Green / Brown / Red tech cards & Lab setup.

Green chips / Mall & Science, is split into Stage 1 and 2. Stage 1 is basically a lighter version. Producing less, and letting you get started earlier.

Ive made sure that you can place stage 2 onto stage 1 exactly, without removing anything and just giving you an expansion. (Stage 1 wont produce red belts, for example. Slap stage 2 onto there, and youve got your whole production.)

This should be all be done around the 1:30, to 2:30 - and sets you up nicely to further expand with what you want.

Its been a lot of fun making this, Krastorio beeing such an advanced and extensive mod - i think its fair to say that some starting help can go a long way.

Compatibility

Overhaul mods

Krastorio 2 has extended compatibility for Space Exploration and Industrial Revolution 2 individually. You may not play K2 + SE + IR2 together.

Krastorio 2 does NOT have compatibility for the Bob's and Angel's (B&A) suite of mods. Attempting to play Krastorio 2 with these modpacks will result in crashes.

Krastorio aims to facilitate megabases with huge energy systems. It includes new buildings, ores, technologies, turrets, coverings, fuel, ways of producing science and a major re-balancing of many vanilla things, but this mod will seem more like an “augmented vanilla” experience rather than a total overhaul. We wanted to keep the vanilla gameplay with minor complications. You can look at some buildings in this video and on this page. When developing the mod, the priority was optimization. There are no complex scripts and super-heavy sprites with ton of frames, so Krastorio is well-optimized for multiplayer games, and will not adversely affect UPS.

I've added the ability to convert ores into matter. However, this is not as overpowered as in other mods and requires an insane amount of energy, time, and new production chains. You can also turn on "quality of life" tweaks like long hands, an increased inventory, or bonus items when you start a new game.

STARTING A NEW GAME is not necessary, but is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED because Krastorio changes almost all recipes, technologies and the parameters of many buildings.
