Hi, new player here. I got to gehenna stones mission before I ran into a snag.
Question: is there a way to get persistent income (gold) somehow? It seems that if mining gold is the only way to get gold, it will run out eventually and then there will be a massive cascade failure (like I just experienced).
I thought everything was going fine and I had just one last gehenna stone to do, but then gold started running out.. minions started going on strike, I tried to mine more gold but ran into spider/dragon nests and things got even worse after my dungeon heart came under attack from those beasts in addition to adventurers, gobblers were killed and then minions went on strike from food as well, and so on. The last gehenna stone also has so many guardians I feel I need my entire army to succeed against them so I couldn't sprint over the finish line either.
If there is no way to get consistent gold income, I feel that there should be. Or gold rewards for destroying good l,ocations/guard houses. Or robbing locations above ground. It seems that the game will be too 'swingy' in one way or another unless I have some manner of consistent gold income to fall back on. If I sit and try to build up, gold will run out and theres no way to succeed?
Or maybe a way to turn evilness into gold? I had massive excess of evilness (several thousands) but no gold.

Therefore, yes, also in the maingame there is one that needs to be found.

-cheers I decided to dig out two levels in the main company and find at least one gold pickaxe, and did not find it. Everything did the right thing carefully excavated completely dungeon. Golden pickaxe is not at all levels of the company?

So I figured it might be useful to compile the Golden Pickaxe locations here, in order to save time faffing about without external guides.
Whilst the Pickaxes always appear on particular maps, the actual location is RANDOM. Some guides I've seen suggest searching the outer edges, but I can say from experience the location really is quite random. You may get lucky, or you may need to dig out every block of earth until you find it. So it's good to know which maps you'll need to spend your time on.

Once you've unlocked a sufficient amount of golden pickaxes you unlock some cosmetic upgrades. To find these you'll need to go to EXTRAS then DLC and scroll to the bottom of the list.
Now, I'm not 100% on WHEN everything unlocks. I know the worker skin is after you get all the pickaxes. But the dungeon skins I already had before I got the final pickaxe. Although I didn't actually find that out until I'd got most of them.They don't exactly go out of their way to let you know these options are actually there. Anyway, six pickaxes should get you all 3 of those, and the worker skin once you have the seventh.

хах не знаю.. смотрю ето было в 2019 году и они до сих пор выпадают мне сегодня
Progressive, я даже основную компанию ещё не прошёл, знаю что в последней миссии будет кирка)
похоже што кроме значка завершения рядом с надписью компании, они больше не выполняют никакой функции. хотя мошет надо собрать все
собраны все золотые кирки и теперь мои сопляки выглядят как роботы
Progressive, главное не забить последний уровень кампании перекопать.
Артём, а потом ещё 6 других DLC
и получить все ачивки
и пройти все сценарии
и перепройти все компании и сценарии совместно на адской сложности
