Divinity original sin 2

Divinity: Original Sin 2

Is there any way to increase font size? It is too small and hard to read on my 17 inch laptop screen. There used to be UI scaling option in Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition but it is absent from DOS 2 for some reason.
The UI and text is bigger when use controller but I don't want use controller with this type of game though. "If you want to scale the whole UI (including the font) just go to Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2\PlayerProfiles\Profilname and open the config.lsx with a text editor search for UIScaling and edit "Value" default is 1 to make the ui bigger change it to something from 1.01 to 2 (you can go higher but 2 is allrdy way to big) for example 1.05 - 1.1 looks pretty good on my tv, making it smaller is also possible just change it from 0.1 to 1" "If you want to scale the whole UI (including the font) just go to Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2\PlayerProfiles\Profilname and open the config.lsx with a text editor search for UIScaling and edit "Value" default is 1 to make the ui bigger change it to something from 1.01 to 2 (you can go higher but 2 is allrdy way to big) for example 1.05 - 1.1 looks pretty good on my tv, making it smaller is also possible just change it from 0.1 to 1" 30 сен. 2017 в 10:54 "If you want to scale the whole UI (including the font) just go to Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2\PlayerProfiles\Profilname and open the config.lsx with a text editor search for UIScaling and edit "Value" default is 1 to make the ui bigger change it to something from 1.01 to 2 (you can go higher but 2 is allrdy way to big) for example 1.05 - 1.1 looks pretty good on my tv, making it smaller is also possible just change it from 0.1 to 1" Thank you for this!! Some us with vision problems still prefer keyboard over controller. :) 1 окт. 2017 в 18:20 This is the solution I need, but there is no config.lsx anywhere on my computer. Please tell me this wasn't patched out. 1 окт. 2017 в 19:08 This is the solution I need, but there is no config.lsx anywhere on my computer. Please tell me this wasn't patched out.

It should be there. in any given 'profilename' folder (assuming you have a profile set up in game).

Have another look.

2 окт. 2017 в 3:27 I've got: modsettings.lsx, profile.lsb, and UILayout.lsb along with folders Stats and Savegames.
Full computer search does not turn up a config.lsx file. 2 окт. 2017 в 3:48 For me it is the same than Bat Gun.
No config.lsx in the profilename folder. 2 окт. 2017 в 3:56 I've got: modsettings.lsx, profile.lsb, and UILayout.lsb along with folders Stats and Savegames.

I'm stumped. You do seem to be in the correct folder by your descriptions.

Is there any chance it's been designated as a hidden file?

In which case go to the VIEW tab, select OPTIONS and click the show hidden files box.

Hope this helps!

EDIT: Also, do try create a 2nd, new profile to see if that reveals the config file

14 апр. 2018 в 23:02 Everything is too small to read , I'm straining my eyes .

I am not sure if there is a way to change it directly, but you can affect it indirectly in this way:

1. Press ESC.
2. Click on Options.
3. Click on Game.
4. Scroll down to the heading that says User Interface.
5. Look at the sub-heading that says Scaling, and drag it all the way to the right until it says 1.2.
6. Click the Apply button at the bottom right.
7. Click the Accept button, which is to the left of the Apply button

15 апр. 2018 в 2:19 Thanks , I've already tried that but it only makes the botton bar bigger , font still difficult to read.
Is there no other way like editing a .ini file or something ? 15 апр. 2018 в 5:38

Hmm maybe your screen is in front of your window and sun shines directly to your face? I know that's not what u asked but that was a problem for me for a while and I ended up covering my window with a thick curtain lol maybe you can do the same or move your pc somewhere darker if that's the case. Other than that if your monitor is relatively the same size as today's pc standards, you really should go see a doctor. My glasses are like the bottom of a jar yet I can read them easily. Good luck!

Oh also you can lower your resolution and stretch the window but that makes everything look worse :(.

Frequently Asked Questions

"How high can the scaling go?"

  • Since font sizes are being scaled within the font file itself, anything too high may break the UI in certain ways. 200% in particular looks bad:

200% Scale

"Why is this a guide, and not a release?"

  • The fonts used in DOS2 all appear to be copyrighted (and quite expensive), so unfortunately re-distributing them is a no-no. Sorry!
