  • Added HUD notification enhancements (only compatible with the vanilla HUD)
  • Notification Enhancements : Max Notifications displayed on top-right (4/10/15)
  • Notification Enhancements : Fade Speed ( 80 frames / 40 frames )

Version 1.1

  • Added FOMod installer for more optionals and future patches.
  • Added 120 FPS optional for Better MessageBox Controls (1.2)
  • Added 120 FPS optional for More Informative Console (0.34)

Version 1.0

  • Updated base SkyUI interface files to 120 FPS.

Summary

This takes the SkyUI interface (swf) files and bumps up their base frame-rate to 120 FPS. This allows much smoother UI animations for all the folks with 144hz+ monitors out there.

Thought I would share this, as it is a repeated step I usually take for every single mod list I make.

Hopefully this can build up into a compendium of 120 FPS UI patches over time, and serve as a good base for an overall smoother UI and menu experience.

I will try to work on getting permissions for 120FPS patches for other third party mods if I can. While it is a fairly minor tweak that can easily be done yourself, this mod is meant to be primarily for convenience and saving effort.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition

3 ноя. 2016 в 6:25 Seriously, years after Skyrim came out and it still have this problem? 144hz monitors, 90hz VR. Bethesda please?
So is there any solution to play the game with higher fps with no problems? 3 ноя. 2016 в 6:27 enigne is like that, you have to limit fps to 60fps if you want to avoid physics bugs. i dont thing theres a way around it, engine is just like that. 3 ноя. 2016 в 6:35

3 ноя. 2016 в 6:36 You should be alright at 70fps but you'll need an external application to cap it at 70. Anything more and the havok Engine can't handle it because the fps is tied to Havok Physics. It's not directly bethesda's fault for the problem, it's just their mistake for still using the Havok Physics engine. It'd be revolutionary for them to write their own physics engine that operates the same as Havok but removes the Physics and Frames Per Second link. 3 ноя. 2016 в 6:53

I'm going to try this! At 60 for some reason I get sick after playing for some time. Thanks! 3 ноя. 2016 в 7:14 When I see something like this I shake my head and smile. any fps faster than 60 is a total waste. That's a long debunked myth. The human eye doesn't see in Frames, and when trained can easily see differnces in fps well above 150. Formula 1 drivers, fighter pilots, and yes gamers generally are able to tell these differnces.

3 ноя. 2016 в 7:39 The problem isn't with physic engine (Havok) but with script engine - Papyrus. But atm there is no any fix for this. Changing settings for Havok prevent objects for "jumping" but stills they acting pretty strange (e.x. some of them might be stick to some objects or levitate). 3 ноя. 2016 в 7:56

Yep that fix worked for me too.

So, if you set FmaxTime to .0069, for example, you need to cap your framerate at 144.

26 янв. 2017 в 18:09

your monitor, grafic card and rest hardware must support a framrate of 120 fps for this to work!

need to adjust the physics vaule and be adapted correctly to your framerate
means if you increase the framrate from 30 to 120 that means the forces must be divide by 4 since its a 4 times faster frame rate.

and that variable is scaled as well on your stamina since its linked to it by a procantage and will affact all nonestatic stuff like npc onbjects and unrelenting force shout

the vaule you will change is the one that is linked to stamina and divide it by 4 and enter that new vaule.

if want use 120 fps divide the hidden force power vauel that is linked to stamina by 4 that should let you run the game without issues on 120 fps

for physics behavior for ragdolls there is mods that changes that but becareful they tend to change the force vauels as well

what might make it need to load the force vaule changer after the ragdoll mod and other physics changers!

this mod changer will require a start of a new game same with ragdolls behavior.and other physic change mods nif behavior update tends to like it if you start a new game as well to properly update all behavior threw the game.

the force vauel can be changed with skyrim special edition creation kit make a new mod what is based on skyrim.esm and adjust the force settings variables acordingly! after that set correct load order with loot and start a New Game

ps if want to run it on a 120 fps do lock the game to 120 fps and adjust the force vaule that is linked to stamina and divide that stamian force vaule by 4

IMPORTANT EDIT: title is clickbait-ey. This is confirmed to allow people to run the game at 120fps, we are currently unsure of the long-term effect this may have on such things as scripting and performance AND YOUR SAVES so back that shit up before you test this!

Here are the values for your refresh rate:

In Skyrim.ini add this line under
[HAVOK]
fMaxTime=0.0333 is for 30fps, may help performance on slow computers
fMaxTime=0.0166 is for 60fps
fMaxTime=0.0133 is for 75fps
fMaxTime=0.0111 is for 90fps
fMaxTime=0.0083 is for 120fps
fMaxTime=0.0069 is for 144fps
fMaxTime=0.0042 is for 240fps+
and
[Display]
iVSyncPresentInterval=0 for Special Edition
iPresentInterval=0 for Original edition

EDIT: It just occurred to me, that since Skyrim, Oblivion, Fallout NV, and Fallout 3, and maybe even Morrowind, all use essentially the same engine, this fix will probably work for them too.

Looking at the numbers, they might have implemented some kind of "divider" ratio in the game engine like when overclocking the CPU/RAM. The number after "fmaxtime" is 1/FPS so 1/30=0.0333 1/90=0.0111 etc. The ratio is to keep graphics and physics from going out of sync.

Its just the frametimes. At 30FPS you have a frametime of 33ms, at 60fps you have 16.667 ms etc.

If I lock my FPS to 144 on my 144Hz monitor, add fMaxTime=0.0069 and my FPS drops BELOW 144, do the physics mess up?

Not really. What happens is that the physics run slightly slow-motion, which is infinitely preferable to the normal result of spazziness. You would have to go waaaay under (like. less than 60fps) for it to be noticably slow-mo.

80FPS and everything is still running as it should.

Makes the user interface really smooth by increasing the animation playback speed from 30 to 120 frames per second and increasing the number of frames for each animation. This means that the animation will be smoother, not just faster.

Better compared to other similar mods. This not only increases the playback speed of the interface animations from 30 to 120, but also increases the number of frames. In other words, more frames and faster playback speed compared to other mods that simply increase the animation speed.

  • It should work well with the frame rate limiter or without. At least it seems so.
  • It doesn't mean you need 120 fps to play with this mod. 60 is enough.
  • It cannot break physics of the game.
  • It cannot break saved games.
  • You may install this mid-game.
  • In any case, just check it out and decide for yourself.

Yes, some animations even had 24 frames per second, while most had 30.

Installation
Recommended: install with Mod Organizer 2 or Vortex.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Must have SkyUI Installed to use " Skyrim 60/120 FPS Interface SkyUI Version ".

Also, for any mod listed in the "Compatibility Patches" List, be sure you have that mod installed before using the corresponding patch.
Since they are all loose versions, you don't have to worry about compatiblity problems such as language or strings not showing correctly.

Frecuently Asked Questions:

- Why should i use this version? - These versions are fully compatible with Vanilla Skyrim menus &
SkyUI menus, depending on which of the two mods you choose to install.
- Loose files that take priority over BSA, so you don't have to worry about load order.
- This mod doesn't have errors you can find in another 60 fps mods like:
- Skyui error code 1.
- Skyui error code 5.
- Perk Tree with wrong names, etc.
- Made from a freshly installed Skyrim From Steam.
- Lots of compatiblity patches!

- Why you made this mod?

I got tired of the vanilla fps of the menus and also tired of not finding a working 60/120 fps update for SkyUI. The reason i did this mod it's because it is the only one that works for me, and i wanted to share it with the community.

- Will you maintain the mod ?

Yes! I will keep this mod updated.

- Is there going to be a Skyrim Special Edition Version for this?

Since i only use Oldrim and my rig is very limited, creating and testing one for SKSE64 it's not currently on my plans.

- Can i ask for support for other plugins?

Yes! If i have the time, I will try to make this mod compatible with your custom mods.

A convenience mod that bumps up the base SkyUI user interface animations to 120 FPS.

Version 1.2

  • Added 30 and 60 FPS variants for the loading screen
  • Added HUD notification enhancements (only compatible with the vanilla HUD)
  • Notification Enhancements : Max Notifications displayed on top-right (4/10/15)
  • Notification Enhancements : Fade Speed ( 80 frames / 40 frames )

Version 1.1
