Я бреюсь налысо примерно 15 лет. До этого я долго и упорно носил длинные волосы, пока одним жарким летом мне не надоело просыпаться с полностью мокрой головой. Ко всему прочему, насколько я помню, у меня были непослушные волнистые волосы, с которыми приходилось воевать буквально каждое утро — сушить их феном, попутно наматывая на круглую расческу, чтобы не топорщились. Радикально обрившись налысо, я ощутил невероятную степень свободы и стал ходить так постоянно, даже не подозревая о приближающемся облысении. Потом ради прикола решил снова отпустить волосы, но оказалось, что в нескольких местах они здорово поредели. «Ну и хер с ними» — подумал я. Существовать вовсе без волос оказалось куда удобнее, да и с формой черепа повезло. В течение этих самых 15 лет я пользовался обыкновенными машинками для бритья волос, чаще всего фирмы Moser. Раз в год-два их стабильно приходилось менять: то провод заломится, то машинка после падения на кафель начнет выкрутасничать, то аккумулятор перестанет держать заряд — капризный, в общем, прибор.
В этом году снова наступил момент менять машинку. В этот раз я решил попробовать что-нибудь новое и выклянчил на день рождения бритву Skull Shaver, рекламу которой увидел в инстаграме. Реклама была знатной: крупные мужчины в кожаных куртках чуть ли не верхом на мотоциклах, несущихся на полном ходу в ад, с блаженными лицами начисто бреют головы и не знают бед. Конечно, на деле все оказалось не так радужно, как обещали в рекламе (может быть, дело в том, что у меня нет мотоцикла), но в целом впечатления положительные.
Итак, Skull Shaver — это беспроводная электробритва, которая удобно лежит в руке за счет пространства для пальцев между аккумулятором и непосредственно бритвенным блоком. То есть, вооружившись этой штукой, вы как бы гладите себя рукой по башке, а не возите по ней палкой, как в случае с традиционными машинками.
Из достоинств — полное отсутствие покрошенной щетины вокруг пользователя. Бритва забирает все срезанные волосы в специальный резервуар, который заполняется за несколько сеансов стрижки. За сколько именно — не знаю. Пока я даже не понял, как ее открыть, чтобы проверить!
Сразу оговорюсь, что бреюсь я не реже раза в неделю, поэтому до длины волос более полусантиметра довожу себя нечасто. Но и эта длина дается Skull Shaver не то чтобы с легкостью: зачастую процесс бритья сопровождается ощущением выдергивания волос, а некоторые участки требуют дополнительного усилия.
Места за ушами так и вовсе надо проходить несколько раз, и все равно нет-нет да останется пара-тройка неопрятно торчащих волосков. При этом Skull Shaver бреет радикальнее, чем тот же Moser. Щетина, конечно, остается — это все-таки не станок — но издалека пользователь со светлыми волосами (как у меня) выглядит не просто бритым «под ноль», а натурально полностью лысым. То есть этот прибор больше подходит не тем, кто в ранге «редеющих», а тем, кто у кого конкретный аэропорт в лесу.
Так или иначе, один сеанс занимает около 15 минут — что, на самом деле, не намного быстрее, чем бритье обычной машинкой. Но! Чистота вокруг, безусловно, радует — потому что после 15 минут с триммером обычно еще столько же приходится тратить на уборку.
Посмотрим, насколько хватит этого нового друга. Пока все выглядит достойно — хотя, конечно, брутальная подача из рекламы разбивается о корпус из не очень толстого пластика («Платинового цвета. » — ага, обязательно). В комплекте — сменные насадки для бритвы, долговечность которых также под вопросом. Столько загадок!

Фестиваль раков и пива в Раевской усадьбе
Кубанская дичь
Есть такой религиозный китайский сюжет: Будда, Лао-цзы и Конфуций стоят у чана с уксусом и пробуют его. Будда печально кривится, Конфуций мрачно и презрительно корчится, а Лао-цзы улыбается: «О, кайф, кисленькое!». Чан, как вы понимаете, символизирует жизнь во всех ее проявлениях. Так вот, на этом фестивале я был кем угодно, только не Лао-цзы.
Оказалось, что единственный способ добраться до этого плато, где все проходило, — такси за 900 рублей. Какие-то поля посреди нигде, комары. За входной билет (еще 600 р.) тебе дают порцию из мелковатых раков и стакан пива. Раки, к слову, вкусные, да и хадыжи (это такой местный пивас) за 80 рублей грели сердце. Единственное, что спасло — кореша, которые позвали меня сюда, за что я им благодарен и неблагодарен одновременно. А еще охранявшие все это казаки, которые были милы, веселы и вежливы. В остальном — атас: «Сектор газа» в качестве саундтрека, дети (часть из которых пыталась втихую пить пиво), пьяные отцы, унывающие матери. По сути, за пару потраченных тысяч я постоял и посмотрел на так и не развернувшийся толком кубанский бухач.

На следующее утро я проснулся в ауре из можжевеловой хвои. Зачем-то нарвал ее и выложил из нее круг на кровати. Может, меня научили этому казаки — я не знаю.

Комикс «Долохов»
Годное чтиво для лихих господ
«Долохов» — комикс за авторством историка и публициста Евгения Норина, Григория Николаева и Родиона Раскольникова о похождениях лихого авантюриста Александра Самойловича Долохова на фронтах Отечественной войны 1812 года и не только. Сами авторы дают исчерпывающее описание:
«Адюльтер, карточный проигрыш и дуэль начинают эту историю. Когда за окном Петербург XIX века с его интригами и коварством, а в ворота стучится война, собственной храбрости, пары друзей и пистолета в кармане хватит рыцарю удачи, чтобы выйти в короли — или умереть пытаясь. Все, что описано в нашей истории, было на самом деле — ну, или могло быть. Война, вино, карты, партизаны и мародеры, женщины — и судьба, пойманная за хвост. «Долохов». Или грудь в крестах, или голова в кустах».
И комикс именно такой — лихое приключение разудалого сорвиголовы, влюбляющего в себя изящных петербуржских дам и наводящего ужас на врагов императора и прочую сволочь. В целом, история вышла на славу. Сценаристам удалось выдать если не образцовый, то близкий к этому сюжет об интригах и шальной жизни Петербурга, который не просто заигрывает с эпохой, а отлично ее воссоздает в диалогах и описаниях.
Небольших минусов у комикса ровно два: зачастую излишне дружелюбная рисовка, порой диссонирующая с кровавостью происходящего на страницах, и не вполне подходящий для такой истории темп. Что касается первого пункта, иногда сцены баталий и прочих лиходейств в цветастом и где-то «околомультяшном» исполнении выглядят даже забавно — на контрасте приветливые лица героев на фоне висельников не могут не вызвать улыбку. Это ни в коем случае не претензия к художнику Роману Клепинину — он поработал на крепкую «пятерку», добротно воссоздав атмосферу тех лет — просто жесткость действительно крайне трудно увязать с жизнерадостным стилем автора.
А вот второй момент куда более важный — истории о Долохове и его приключениях очень тесно в выбранном авторами ритме. Пусть это и не супермасштабная эпопея в духе «Войны и мира», все равно чувствуется, что «Долохову» не хватает дыхания — слишком быстро авторы разгоняют сюжет. В сценах с битвами это отлично работает, но спринтерский темп в диалогах не позволяет с головой погрузиться в атмосферу эпохи. Все эти мундиры, драгунские страсти и ловкие словесные пикировки, столь удачно выписанные сценаристами, явно требуют марафонского ритма — неспешного, размеренного, с оттяжечкой.
В остальном «Долохов» получился отличным — в меру кровавым, в меру смешным. Насколько я понимаю, продолжение комикса уже не за горами, буду ждать с нетерпением.

The Platinum Pro is the latest design from Skull Shaver, so it also has the newest blades. These rotary blades move quietly and quickly, shaving away all hair in its path for a super clean shave.
While I did have to double back once or twice to get a few stray hairs missed, the overall experience is extremely fast and satisfying.
The more I used the razor, the more comfortable it became, and I missed fewer hairs.

Our experience with this shaver isn’t much different that what other customers experienced. With five-star ratings and positive reviews, Skull Shaver seems to beat out traditional electric shavers due to its design and high-quality blades.
Notable Features
One thing to note is there’s a difference between the new Platinum Pro and the old Platinum version.
The newest “Pro” version includes a 4-head, super-efficient blade and a better motor. The previous one included a 5-head blade that was larger and somewhat more awkward to hold. So, don’t get fooled if you still see the 5-head images online.
The latest design is much easier to fit in your palm and glides seamlessly over your head.
The latest Forte blades come with the Platinum Pro, and Skull Shaver has guaranteed that these blades last up to year. However, in our research customers are claiming with regular use, they’re replacing them every 6 months or so to get the cleanest shave.
Verdict
Just a slick razor that comes with all the accessories, wash indicator and the better LED indicator of all models. So, if you don’t mind spending a little more for a 90 second bald shave, the platium is my pick. Also, comes with an awesome 2-year warranty – better than the others with only a 1-year.

Our Experience
We found the Gold Pro and Platinum Pro products to be very similar and really didn’t experience much of a difference between them. We did notice the Gold PRO comes with no accessories like the Platinum PRO does.
Notable Features
- The Pitbull Gold Pro has less visual appeal, but fits just as well in your hand and glides perfectly across your head and face with no nicks like the platinum.
- It’s just as easy to use and made of similar materials (except finish and display).
- It also has a four-head blade with a wireless design to make it super fast and easy to shave in the morning.
Verdict
I found no functional difference nor quality of cut between the Gold and the Platinum for much less money. They both use the same Japanese stainless steel blades, and bald shaving is no longer a chore. It has a 1-year warranty where the gold has 2 years.
You don’t get any accessories with this Gold model so at minimum you’ll need a case. I really like the Aproca Hard Travel Case. It’s super durable and only $109.99 on Amazon.

Our Experience
In comparison to the Gold Pro, the Silver Pro is just as efficient and found myself going back over the same sections to get a cleaner shave. We think this because of higher-quality materials used with the upper models and a different motor.
In addition, the battery life isn’t as strong, at only 600 mAh in comparison to 1400 mAh of the Gold and Platinum.

Overall, I just didn’t like this product. In fairness I might have started reviewing this product first but after using the others this one felt like I was using a toy.

It has the same ergonomic design as the others in the Pitbull line, but it’s not as precise or as high-quality as the Gold or Platinum shavers.
Verdict
In the end, the product does get the job done with a little more effort and is an option if you’re on a budget.
Running about $60 less than the Silver PRO, we’d suggest this shaver if you’re on a budget or aren’t sure about this shaver design and want to give the palm style a try. You can also switch out the blades for higher-quality ones, such as the Forte or Baron, or Carver blades available on Skull Shaver’s website, but then you’ve spent what you saved.
