Does it work? Can anyone try it out? Having the FOV fixed is imperative for me before I buy this game.
it works, can set the FOV to any setting you want, only issue i noticed is when saving the game the cursor highlights the accept tab just slightly above it ,other than that its great I had to set Origin as game version instead of Steam for WSF to work.So, I tried for a week to download that program, but the site seems down :(

I also read the suggestion that you make sure widescreenfixer is running as administrator.
You could also try changing the version number of your Dead Space installation in widescreenfixer. Or, you could try installing a patch for Dead Space if there is one.
It's on Github -- someone rescued the last release (v3.4 r737) and plans to rewrite it.

However, Dead Space 2 is an enigma. In *%appData%\Local\EA Games\Dead Space 2* there exists a settings.txt file which contains all the various settings for DS2. There is a line in the file by default:
I have changed this setting as little as +/- 0.005 or as much as + 50. It does not affect the field of view in the game. I tried adding a block rule for deadspace2.exe to my firewall, thinking perhaps EA sync was blocking the setting but to no avail. Does anyone know if there is an FOV override or another file I must change? Is there a launch option I must enable? Is there any known method to change the FOV for Dead Space 2? Googling has yielded zero results. There has to be a way to make this setting work. Someone has to know.
такая камера сделана, чтобы внести в игру страх и интригу. с такой камерой ведь никак не сможешь заглянуть за угол (как во многих играх от 3 лица) , а значит можно вздрогнуть от вылезшего оттуда мутанта. в реальной жизни заглянуть за угол незамеченным тоже нельзя, так что такая камера, как в игре Dead Space делает игру реалистичнее и вносит эффект присутствования самого себя в игре. Поменять этот вид (камеру) нельзя, что я считаю к лучшему.
Реалистичнее? С видом у себя же из-за плеча? Ты в реале себя тоже так видишь?
Вид ни как нельзя поменять, и вобще то сделали удобно и классно!

нет вид по началу только кажется неудобным потом понимаешь что он лучше чем по центру
так и должно быть это стиль у игры такой а ты че в гта сан андреас не играл там прицел такойже

Такая классная игра и такая убогая камера которая испортила игру
себя за яйца повесь камера в игре вполне классная разработчик специально такую камеру в игре сделал как в серии игры Re так что иди играй в фортнайт как раз для тебя
Dmitry shugalov Профи (591) Данил Софонов, :) 2года, да я камеру поправил по центру, но долго в нее не играл, в ла2, кс больше тянуло, а сейчас ваше не где не играю тока в wc3 бывает залетаю, а ваше от компа зависимость большая и во все игры не переиграть :)
