I assumed it was simply unlocked there and that the "mandatory" first level was simply to get the user used to the controls before unleashing them into the VR experience. As it turns out, the first level is to trick the potential purchasors into lapsing their first hour on Steam so they have no recourse to return it immediately when they realized what a half-assed and misleading VR experience this is. Oh please, it ain't fraud. The game was released back in 2015 and had no VR support at all. If you did your research, like anyone would, you would have known this. VR support came with the Blood Ties expansion in 2016.
Also, just because people are playing it on youtube in VR does not excuse you from doing research. If you did, you would have known there is software out there that tries to let you play non VR games in VR. Software like VORPX.

Software like VORPX. vorpx doesnt work and there support is useless. it says it has vr support it is misleading and a scam. look at alll these comments and online about the issue.
