Stellaris ошибка связи со steam

As of 17/07/2020, Cities: Skylines stopped launching. It gives "Steam runtime communication error", though Steam is running fine in the background. Additional error: "Steam API is not initialized". Tried to launch Steam as an administrator but it had no effect.

Please try a **clean** reinstall:
. \Steam\steamapps\common\Cities_Skylines\
. \Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\255710\
. \AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines
(first move the /saves/ folder elsewhere to keep your save games)
(To see the AppData folder you'll need to enable View Hidden Items in File Explorer)
- Install the game again and see if it runs now.

On my end, there is no need to reinstall the game. That is very heavy-handed. Are you shooting in the dark?
A simple reboot allows the game to run exactly once. After closing the game, starting again is impossible until I reboot my computer again. AndrewT, what information do you require to do some actual troubleshooting? And before you request, no I will not try running the game with extra privileges or administrator rights, per the many help articles I've combed through on the paradox website.
Edit: The problem is obviously with the launcher, not the game itself. I attempted to link to the relevant paradox help page where I followed instructions, but your dumb system thinks the link is some sort of spam. Amazing.
The launcher is still broken. Attached are the logs I found in the launcher folder.

Возможно кому-нибудь это поможет:
- При запуске Stellaris запускается launcher, когда нажимаешь "играть", лаунчер сворачивается и открывается небольшое окошко игры. После этого открывается полноразмерное окно игры на весь экран и зависает. Приходиться завершать игру через диспетчер задач.
- При запуске игры загрузка на начальном экране идет бесконечно долго.
- Открыть папку на диске где установлена операционная система
"C:\Users\имя-пользователя\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris" - Удалить файл settings.txt
- Попытаться запустить игру
- Открыть лаунчер игры
- Открыть вкладку "настройки" и в разделе "графика" поставить галку на Полноэкранный без границ
- галка "полноэкранный" должна быть убрана
- Попытаться запустить игру
- Открыть папку на диске где установлена операционная система
"C:\Users\имя-пользователя\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris" - Открыть в текстовом редакторе файл: settings.txt
- Найти параметр, который отвечает за разрешение экрана, то есть строку size и изменить переменные разрешения X и Y например на X: 800 и Y: 600 и сохранить. (поиграйтесь с разрешением пока не запустится, но уже на этих параметрах игра должна запустится, если маловато разрешение, изменяйте до оптимального в самой игре.
- Если проблема осталась, в том же файле измените параметр fullScreen=yes на fullScreen=no или наоборот С УЖЕ ИЗМЕНЕННЫМ РАЗРЕШЕНИЕМ 800 НА 600
- Попытаться запустить игру
Попробуйте последовательно повторить сначала "решение 1" затем "решение 2".

Нажимаю "пропустить" данное окошко закрывается но игра запускаться отказывается
Какие ещё варианты есть, кроме "пропустить"? Это пиратка?
Влад, "Пропустить" и "выйти". Стимовская версия. Пару тройку лет в игрулю не играл. Удивился что теперь у парадоксов свой лаунчер. Поставил, зарегился, и такую фегню пишет. Включаться игра не хочет
Влад, Все пробывал. И игру переустанавливал и лаунчер. И стим привязывал отвязывал. Все одно и тоже
Денис, начнем с того, что у тебя должно писать "играть" и "отмена" , а не пропустить. Во-вторых , проблема у тебя со стимом судя по всему , а не с игрой
Влад, Ну на стим у меня жалоб нет. Ради интереса ставил Surviving Mars. Нормально запускается и играется. Парадоксовского лаунчера не просит. (что меня удивило)
Денис, так падажжи, у тебя ошибка после того как ты запускаешь игру, или после нажатия "играть" в лаунчере? У тебя Стим онлайн или в оффлайне? Обновы закачиваются ?
Влад, Описанная куча текста появляется один раз после перезагрузки ПК. Нажимаю "пропустить" остается открытый лаунчер с зеленой кнопкой "играть". Нажимаю, становится серой потом опять зеленая и рядом появляется красный треугольник, навожу курсор, всплывает надпись "Не удалось запустить игру" Версия игры пишет 2.6.1 стим конечно онлайн (игру я через него ставлю, запускаю)
Hi I have this issue with the launcher. I've tried reinstalling and deleting the launcher files but to no avail. I've uninstalled it through the programs menu in windows and reinstalling with no luck either.
The 'more details' message is:

Do you start the launcher through steam or in another way?
Do you have a firewall that might block the communication between the launcher and steam which happens over the loopback/localhost network interface?
Disclaimer: I'm not working for Paradox. I'm just trying to help people.

If those don't help, Please try this:
- exit the Steam app completely
- uninstall Paradox Launcher v2 from the Windows "Apps and features" utility, if still present.
Delete the following folders if still present:
- C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/
- C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Paradox Interactive/
- C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Roaming/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2/
- run steam.exe as the Windows Admin user
- run EU4 from the Steam PLAY button
I hope that works for you!
If not though, try running EU4.exe directly. Does that at least get you into the game itself?
