Hello, I recently buy a new keyboard and when I launch the game, I have a message, Unrecognized gamepad, please setup a key config.
When I go to options > controller and the keyboard, there is only two columns with red "none", no key description and when I select one i'm stuck and can't exit (except with alt f4).
I tried to copy paste values from an another keyboard in the inputconfig.dat file but the game crash when I go to the controller setup.
Also tried to change the ControllerHotplug value to 0 in the options.ini file
Reinstall the game too but nothing work.
It's like the game can't handle multiple input with this keyboard, I can't shoot and move diagonally

I'm in Ubuntu 14.04, trying to use an Xbox 360 wireless controller. I've got xboxdrv, and my controller works fine in other games with controller support. Just not BoI:R.
When I go to Options > Controllers > and try to set up my key config, if I press enter or space on an option, the game locks up.
In .local/share/binding of isaac rebirth/inputconfig.dat, I have:
I'm really not sure what's wrong. :( And I don't know how to read/edit this file properly.

I put in the controls for a controller, and jsut played on keyboard 28 фев. 2015 в 15:58Semi-necro here. I eventually resolved this by just going to Options > Controllers > then configuring the bottom controller on the list (rather than the top one, as would be intuitive).
The config screen then works as expected (select a binding, press appropriate button on controller). Later when using a second controller for co-op, the second one didn't even need to be configured.
This is still blatantly a bug and needs fixing, but at least the workaround is easy. Hope it works for everyone else! I didn't mention in my previous post, but I'm using a wireless xbox360 controller with 64bit Mint 17. I also emailed Nicalis about it, didn't get so much as an automated "Thanks for your email" reply *shrug*.

Может кто решил данную проблему, хочется понять деньги ли это на ветер, купила так спонтанно, думала может работать будет Используте программу Xpadder или для специальных геймпадов от Logitech есть специальная прога Logitech Gaming Software. самые дерьмовые геймпады от свен. бери любой, только с поддержкой xinput (все игры будут идти без xpadder'a и без эмуляторов). они конечно подороже будут, но зато проверенны. у меня у самого за всю жизнь был только один геймпад (купил позавчера), а именно xbox one, так что у меня хоть и мало, но опыт в выборе геймпадо есть. Я не знала в целом как выбрать, думала что разницы не будет особой. Да и стоил заманчиво.
А в целом со Свеном сделать уже ничего не получится? Выкинуть и забыть? Алексей Щербаков Гуру (4495) ну если в других играх работает, то оставь, а новый все же купить будет более удобно. (никаких настроек, тупо включила в комп юсб/адаптер, и играешь) а второй оставь, пригодится (друзья прийдут в гости, будете играть в игры со сплит скрином). Лично советую геймпады от фирмы microsoft, проверены временем (хоть и небольшим), хоть и дороговаты, но зато качество, и куча дополнительных аксесуаров (вплоть от сменных стиков, до гарнитуры и сменных корпусов. Да, думаю пожалуй и не заморачиваться, действительно, переплатить, но знать, что будет работать
Даже как-то и не собиралась покупать так в ближайшее время, поэтому особо не присматривала себе модель, выбрала спонтанно, на что взгляд упал, не думала конечно, что будут проблемы такие. Вроде джойстик, как джойстик Ты не предстовляешь какой у меня дерьмовый геймпад exeq hellfire он без стиков Алексей Щербаков Гуру (4495) ну там цена 200 - 500 р на него, так что ничего удивительного. он только для файтингов.
По инструкции добавляла в корень игры - добавлять ничего не надо.
надо просто в программе xpadder все кнопки которые нажимаются в игрушке с клавы перенести на кнопки джостика .
а так же проверить работоспособность джостика можно понажимать на кнопки и если на рисунке x padder видны
нажимающиеся кнопки то все работает .
обязательно при подключенном джостике включать программу xpadder, а потом только игру.
наверное игре в настройках попробуйте сменить управление на клавиатуру.
ps / по первому рисунку видно что в программе немного не разобрались.
у меня к примеру в nfs управление такое -
да, любую игру настроив xpadder можно играть (даже кот. не поддерживает джостики.
в сама прога сделана для того чтобы было удобно играть на любом джостике (нажимая удобную для вас кнопку на джостике перенесенную с клавы ).

Same issue here even with the repentance update only current semi fix ive found is starting a run (because it still lets you navigate menus) once the run begins turn off your controller by either holding in the xbox button for like 10 seconds or pull the batteries out. Then the game will have a pop up saying controller disconnect. Turn the controller back on and press a button and it should let you control your character now. Its not exactly ideal though as the process has to be repeated for every run unless you hold R to restart i found in that instance you remain in control of the character without having to shut off the controller again.
