Torchlight 2 ng что это

Обновлено: 06.07.2024

New Game Plus (NG+) is a game type in Torchlight II that allows players who have completed the main campaign to restart with the same character and face greater challenges. This replaces the retirement system in the original Torchlight.

To start New Game Plus, speak to an NPC named Felicia who appears in Minehead after you have finished the main quest.

When starting a New Game Plus, the character will retain their full inventory, stash, skills, and statistics, but:

  • Monsters start at level 51 or higher, and gold and item drops also scale up accordingly.
  • All quests are reset and must be completed again.
  • Environments are re-rolled (randomized).
  • Multiplayer is restricted to players of the same tier of New Game Plus, so no lower/higher tiers players will join.
  • In NG+ the Mapworks remains accessible through waypoint portals in towns.

Differences from Torchlight I [ ]

Comparison chart provided by Runic Games.

  • Torchlight II features a wider variety of environments to explore. There are two kinds of outdoor areas: passes and overworld areas, both of which are also randomized. The game also includes both main story dungeons and side dungeons.
  • T2 is much larger than T1, with a more involved main questline, and several times as much content as the original game.
  • Players can customize character appearance with choice of gender, face, skin color, hair color and style.
  • Outdoor areas feature weather effects and day/night cycles.
  • Retirement was originally announced as a returning feature, but was replaced by New Game Plus. Also, instead of an infinite dungeon, T2 offers randomized maps that the player could delve into infinitely, if they choose to.
  • The user interface has been redesigned to better support multiplayer.

Story and setting [ ]

Several years have passed, and the Alchemist has become obsessed with the dangers of Ember and the Ember Blight from which he was apparently never cured. He steals Ordrak's Heart and destroys the town of Torchlight. Traveling to the Estherian Steppes, he begins siphoning magical energy from the Elemental Guardians, powerful beings who control the balance of the world's six elements.

Now, a new hero emerges, tasked with following the Alchemist's path of destruction and dealing with the chaos caused by his unexplained actions.

Torchlight II is divided into four major acts, each featuring a hub town and large overland areas as well as dungeons.

  • Act I: The Estherian Steppes, a mountainous region inhabited by the Estherians. The area's town is the Estherian Enclave.
  • Act II: The Mana Wastes, a desert which is home to the Zeraphi, their city Zeryphesh, and their enemies the Ezrohir.
  • Act III:Grunnheim, a haunted forest that contains the ruins of an ancient dwarven civilization. An Imperial Camp serves as the player's town.
  • Act IV: The Broken Mines, a short act that serves as the game's finale. The act's town is Minehead.

Torchlight 2 ng что это

6 окт. 2012 в 10:29 What is the point of these game modes except to lock you out from playing with your friends? Do you actually get anything for going into NG+ that you can't get by doing maps? I'm just curious because I have friends who don't play as much as me and if I don't get anything for playing the game over I'd rather not. 6 окт. 2012 в 10:34 Well you can always start a new char to play with your friends, and NG etc allow you to get up to 100. If you can get to 100 with maps without doing NG it would take you a very long time, because you would end up getting not a lot of xp, for some parts without going into an NG playthrough. 6 окт. 2012 в 10:36 I'm already level 100. I was mostly curious if there's like a magic find bonus or something like that. I've been level 100 for quite a while and only found 1 legendary back when I was level 55. 6 окт. 2012 в 10:40 Well legendaries probably have a higher chance of dropping in the highest NG, I would guess, since that is where all the high level crap is. Other than that, try enchanting and changing your gear to magic find gear. I wouldn't of thought legendaries were the be all and end all to the game. Besides legendaries are legendary for a reason, theyre meant to be hard to come across. 6 окт. 2012 в 10:40

well as far as i know there are a few dungeons available with NG++

and every NG starts with higher lvl enemies to make it harder.. NG+++ starts with lvl 100 enemes if i am right and there are rumors that NG++++ starts with lvl 120

and u arent locked out from ur friends with NG+. uts just that only NG+ can play with NG+ and so on. reason would probably be that enemies have higher lvls
and to play with ur buddy killing lvl 10 monsters while on ur screen they are lvl 60 would be wierd.. so being locked out from play with others is kinda normal :P

Tiers [ ]

There are several levels or tiers of New Game Plus:

  • New Game Plus (NG+) starts the world at level 51.
  • New Game Plus 2 (NG+2) starts the world at level 81.
  • New Game Plus 3 (NG+3) starts the world at level 100.
  • New Game Plus 4 (NG+4) starts the world at level 120.
  • New Game Plus 5 (NG+5) starts the world at level 120.

Skipping tiers [ ]

When you start New Game Plus, the game will select the tier of NG+ that best matches your character's level. This means you may potentially skip one to two tiers.

Couple questions from me:

- if I skip NG++ and beyond, am I missing out on any unique content?
- souls [lesser/minor/etc] appear in base game from champions and unique bosses, but what about soul stones? do they appear only in Synergies-specific locations?
- is reaching level 100 required before starting Table Mountain/Derinkuyu/Selrock or is that meant purely for endgame farming?
- what equipment/items are required to access altars in Ember Steps, eg "Soulcrafting Crit" and are Realms of Discord always a hit and miss as far as dead ends go?

That's all the questions I can think of for now.
Probably more to come since I am yet to use any of the custom Synergies content besides the mod making vanilla game more difficult.
Not saying that as a bad thing, since vanilla was a massive bore to me and I've only completed a playthrough of it for the critter achievement.

But I digress, and would appreciate if someone could answer the above questions for me.
Don't really need an in-depth walkthrough, just simple "go here and talk to this NPC" or "take X and Y and that's" and whatnot.
Thanks in advance.

1. NG+ has some new content and new tier gear, there is more info about it on runic website/forum.
2. Lesser/minor souls can be crafted to soulstones, requires 10 lesser to do 1 minor and so on - drop is random through the whole game.
I have found only 2 soulstones within 50h of gameplay but around 30 of each lesser/minor. I found the soulstones within Synergies content.
3. You dont need to be lvl100 to access Table Mountain or Selrock nor for Realms of Discord since the dungeons in RoD scale to your lvl. But I do recommend at least lvl50 to enter RoD.
Derinkuyu is hard and do require atleast 50-60% damage reduction - 75% is optimal. Mobs are lvl105.
4. I belive only legendary items can be crafted with soulstones.
5. And as far as I know, the bosses in SynergiesMOD aint balanced for NG+ and beyond, but I can be wrong.

I hope this helps

Soulcrafting Tier 0:
Minor Souls, Lesser Souls, Greater Souls drop in a range from Elite, Hero, Tier0 Trash, and Tier1 Trash monsters.
Magnificent Souls drop from ancient trolls and rare dragons
Angelic Souls need to be crafted
Soul Stones will drop from all tier0 bosses
Combine 10 minor souls to make a Lesser soul, 10 lesser souls to make a greater soul, 10 greater souls to make a magnificent soul and 5 magnificent souls to make a Angelic soul.
Combine a Angelic Soul, a Soul Stone and ANY tier0 armor piece (not rings nor weapons) and the item will be ‘soulbound’ and have a 5% damage reduction affix added to it. Be warned it destoys your previous item and replaces it with a new one, sockets/enchants will be lost.
Combine 2 Angelic Soul, 2 Soul Stones and any Tier0 SOULBOUND armor piece and the item will change to a second degree of soulbound, replacing in 8% damage reduction and a health increase. Again destroying the old armor and creating a new one.

The Realms of Discord are a series of small dungeons all chained to each other. It is currently the best place to level up your characters because every monster scales to your level.

Derinkuyu Raid is Tier 0.

Or'ak Basin Zone is Tier 0.5

Darkness Falls is Tier 1

Reaching Level 100 helps (not required) however it's farming Skulls of Limony and possibly Reichliu or even Eyes of Grell that is the most useful to survive hits for added content.

NG+ is not required for Synergies.

2 мар. 2018 в 17:41

Firstly, thanks for responses, it's all quite plainly explained, which is good, since I'm rather new to all the things that Synergies added.

Anywho, I've read the guide on kirmizi, but must have missed the part about soulstones dropping from T0 bosses, which was a piece of information I was also after.

Now, about Derinkuyu and other raid dungeons - where can I access them from?
Is there a hub city that is used as a starting point or do I have to find some portal scroll?
Also, do said dungeons automatically reset after completion, or do I have to reroll world each time I want to farm souls/soulstones/legendaries?

2 мар. 2018 в 21:40

Ok, new game plus and beyond is not ballanced for synergies.

Out of the first act one town, there is a green portal at the bottom of town. That takes you to the ember steps. In the ember steps is many things of note. Go explore it. Also, the portal to the relmbof discord is in the ember steps.

The rest of end game content is out of table mountain. Derynkuyu or spelling, is at the bottom of table mountain. The troll cave is also there, and if you make it through the troll cave, 2 parts, then you will find the portale to darkness falls.

Also, out of table montain is the gold mine opposite the troll cave. Go there around lvl 45- or higher if you need gold. Not a walk in the park though. Its full of ratlings who only drop gold.

I dont know how many levels there are, go through the portals at the end of each level and ignore the manticore wording. Hes not there. The last level has the rat king and you get stuff for killing it. The gold dropped from ratlings goes up as you progress. Good luck there.

I can provide specifics on other things as i remember them. If i know.

2 мар. 2018 в 21:47

Oh, also after you kill the rat king, very sure you can keep going but the ratlings are HUGE and TUFF. I only ever stepped in, fought a little, they hit hard, and either died or left.

Also about the relm of discord, its an alternate lvling option. You can use it to get to lvl 100 as it scales to your level. But gets boring after a while. I have taken a brand new char in there right after echo pass, just be careful because even though it scales to lvl, there are bosses and champions in there. Not a cake walk. And you level fast! If you live.

2 мар. 2018 в 23:11

I'm not entirely sure, but I recall the gold mine somehow being available from Ossean Wastes [act 2 overworld?]. I got to floor 3-4, then, despite being a few levels above, started taking too much damage to justify going further and simply retreated through a portal.

Then again, that was way back in mid-2015, so perhaps the mine got moved to Table Mountain, because I certainly never went there. After that, I stopped playing the game and focused on other titles, booted it 2 months ago and there were a few things I didn't see before, like Selrock bot.

Anywho, about Discord portal. Is it still buggy?
As in, are there instances where a portal isn't going to open because the monster who was meant to "drop" one didn't spawn? On top of that, there is no way back once you go past floor 1, no "stairs up" transition and whatnot.

3 мар. 2018 в 0:11

Ok well, i have had very few times when a portale was unavailable. When that happened a town portal saves you anyway. And i mean, like 2 times.

And then, um..oh. Not to buggy, no. My issue is i seem to only get about 4-5 maps is all. Within 3-4 maps, you will come to a boss map level, and at the end of those is a red return to surface or town portal.

Almost always though i still got the normal portals to so i could choose to go back to town or keep going.

3 мар. 2018 в 7:11

It kinda sounds like im pushing the relm of discord to lvl up. Im really not.

The regular play through in synergies is a good time as well. With more monsters to slay, and tweeks with them as well. More afixxes, whatever, champions and giant versions of monsters. Wow.

Plus there are world bosses that can spawn in the out door maps, excluding echo pass. I remember making my way through the frozen map in act one, and came across the fairy queen for the first time. Holy crap! It was a blast, but wow did i get my butt handed to me. With all the dressings.

So choose wisely. Maybe do the relms and gain a few levels, then hit the story mode. The bosses in it are amped up to, so FUN.

I really must give a shout out to a new-ish mod on par with synergies. Salan, the creator and modder of synergies is burned out and done. We cant blame him, he went for a couple years straight. A legend he is.

However, a modder named Corley has created a mod called tl2-e-complete overhaul. Its not as massive as synergies, but she is still updating it and adding new stuff. Its very good.

And she is making changes and additions based on fan requests. As long as its ballanced. Her words.

So, when you have had your fill of the maddnes and fun called synergies mod, i highly recommend her mod. Omg, its awesome. Custom classes, revamped and ballanced original classes, end game content, a fully integrated act 5. Check it dude. Its good times.

3 мар. 2018 в 20:01

Got almost 230 hours in TL2 at the moment, so I'm probably not at the stage where I'm bored of the game just yet. Moreso since I didn't really reach the endgame parts, so whenever I'm done with Synergies, I might give that TLE mod a go.

Thanks for all the answers, advice and tips.

So, I gave Discord dungeons a go and I have to admit that levelling up with those is a blast, but completing the actual kill quests is a major pain.

First one to kill was the Ancient Titan. No biggie, took me about 20 minutes to get to the forge, or whatever the boss location was called in stock game, got the kill, returned for a reward and picked up a new quest.

But this is where the pain began. Getting to Cacklespit's realm seems to be borderline impossible.
I'm not sure whether RNGsus hates me with a passion or there are some hidden criteria I'm not aware of, eg kill the totally-not-Aruk-The-Lizard, then enter the portal he drops, but I keep getting dropped into the same location, including the Ancient Titan arena, which I can't do anything about other than zipping through back to Ember Steps.
On top of that, I got stuck next to the Steps/Realm transition area because the game decided to spawn me inside the world geometry.
And not to mention I've spent just over 2 hours trying to do the Cacklespit quest there, while, as stated above, Titan took me about 20-25 minutes at most.

Therefore, if someone could shed some light on this, that would be grand.
Again, if this RNG, I might as well grind up to level 100, then ditch this place completely and move to Table Mountain, otherwise I'll try to something else.

Classes [ ]

The game features four playable character classes. The three classes from the original Torchlight (Alchemist, Vanquisher, and Destroyer) are not playable, but do appear as non-player characters in the game.

  • The Engineer is a heavy melee fighter who can construct bots and has ember-powered armor that collects and releases energy charges in combat.
  • The Outlander is an agile character who specializes in ranged weapons and lore magic.
  • The Berserker is a savage melee fighter who uses fist weapons and can summon spirit animals.
  • The Embermage is a powerful elemental spellcaster.

Modding [ ]

Torchlight II allows user-created mods. Mods may be used in multiplayer, though all users joining a game session will have to be running the same mods. Steam Workshop is supported. Users had the ability to create PAKS which could be downloaded to affect things like the drop rate and the spawn rate of mobs and champions, but PAK files are no longer supported as of version 1.22.2.40 and the release of GUTS.
