Kingdoms of amalur reckoning

I know the storyline really doesn't support it, but this game would be an amazing co-op experience. I've always wanted to play this game with a friend, and there are so few co-op fantasy action-rpg campaigns with character customization this good.

As a fellow dev, I know this is a huge ask, but it would be the single greatest feature to add to this underrated game.

2020 в 7:03 Don't think that would be possible, the game works on a Save anytime load anytime system. Implementing a co-op properly would take months. Just see how much problem the Skyrim together devs ran into. Thankfully Skyrim together is shaping up pretty well after years of work on it. 8 июл. 2020 в 8:00 Don't think that would be possible, the game works on a Save anytime load anytime system. Yeah. I'm aware of the difficulty. Still think it's absolutely worth it.

Yah, even some sort of non-persistent ally via drop-in would be enough. Don't think that would be possible, the game works on a Save anytime load anytime system. Skyrim together is being developed by a third party on their free time. Not a professional entity that actually produced the game.

Most games don't include coop because of those very issues though. If there's a problem with their netcode, the reviews are gonna plummet. For a feature that wasn't even meant to be present in the first place.

I'd support coop introduction though.

The only reason i wont get this, is because it isnt coop. I game with my wife, and this game SCREAMS for coop, large open worlds, tons of quests and possibilities to do builds around duo play.

No coop,no buy, its a damn shame but hey. maybe someone will mod it in. Fingers crossed.

This is the single-player version of an MMO they were going to make later on before BHG was shut down.

I don't know what Nordic is planning to do with the future of Amalur, but I could of sworn they had the data information on the MMO.

As for co-op, it's entirely doable with this engine, much easier than Elder Scrolls custom engine.

This version coming out is going to have new dlc coming with it, let's see where it goes.

I agree. This game definitely needs co-op. It would be so much fun playing with other players.

The funny thing with rpg's I've noticed, is that there is a swath of people among the community that are fervently against co-op or any form of MP in their games, even though roleplaying games were meant to be played with others.

Roleplaying video games all have their origins in tabletop gaming, which was a social experience. You can't play DnD by yourself and the same goes for Hero Quest, Shadowrun, Cyberpunk, etc. Then video games come along with the ability to either replace the other players with NPCs, or just design the game balance around a single player character, and people are quick to forget the roots of the genre.

I can absolutely see why people would be against competitive MP, but a co-op option? The ability to do what you are already doing, just with friends? (did I mention it's optional. ) That's when it starts getting to self-righteous for me.

I don't think this game will a co-op option, but I feel co-op in games like Amalur, should always be a standard option. I'm hoping upcoming games like TES6 or Dragon Age 4 will have co-op.

They do have the data for the MMO. It's codename was "Copernicus" and it was nearing completion when the studio shut down.

That and also what does COOP add to (or take away from?) the game that would ruin their glorious SP experience? If you don't enjoy coop, just don't coop the game? It's that simple.

Kingdoms of Amalur/ Reckoning: FAQ (F. A. Q. по Техническим проблемам и DLC)

Reckoning?

My Documents/Reckoning/personal.ini

F. A. Q. по официальным DLC и аддонам:

The House of Valor

Steam/Origin.
Detyre.

Kingdoms of amalur reckoning

2019 в 17:49 The game started out as a MMORPG called Project: Copernicus. But during development, things happened (not gonna go into that here, as it's covered ad naseum in other threads), the game was retooled into a single-player title, and the development of the MMORPG was pushed farther down the road. Not sure if that MMORPG's gonna see the light of day, as it's all dependent on what THQ Nordic does with the IP. 16 сен. 2019 в 17:49 The game started out as a MMORPG called Project: Copernicus. Why do people keep repeating this absolute nonsense?

It was named "Ascendant", but when 38 Studios purchased Big Huge Games this was all reworked. You can even see the animations of many movements used this early are the same. Sound effects in the menus and far more. More details below, I have a lot to say here.

The developers had two physical studio locations, each working on a different project. The first (38 Studios, formerly Green Monster Games) was in Massachusetts and the second named Big Huge Games that it purchased later on in Rhode Island, to which it was lured by economic incentives of vast fortune as long as they both promised to bring a specific (and escalating) number of jobs to the state, and pay back the loan.

The second newer studio had been developing their single player RPG under the title "Ascendant" for five years when it was purchased and reworked partially into a prequal story set in the same setting as the upcoming MMO, a way to start bringing in money sooner as well as get the Rhode Island cash AND grow the company, and create buzz for it's main product, the aforementioned MMO Project Copernicus. It was simply going to be named "Kingdoms of Amalur".

Unfortunately, a political rival was elected to power a couple years later and this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sought to destroy the deals his predecessor had made and found a way to undermine the company at a critical moment in it's development of the MMO right after the single player RPG we have here released. It killed the 38 Studios, but fortunately we at least got this game and it's planned DLC released just in time.

And please stop spreading the stupid story that this game was an MMO that they turned into a single player RPG.. It was always going to be a single player RPG, it's just that the game play and game features were developed mostly long before the company was acquired by 38 Studios and the plot of the game was altered in minor ways to fit into the lore bible that author R.A. Salvatore was writing for the MMO ( they basically looked at everything the Big Huge Games single player RPG was planned to have going on, and found a cool place in Amalur's history where it could be altered to easily fit in)

I think it came out pretty great, the story of the first successful resurrection magic, evolved to become full on spawn points by the many thousands of years later MMO time in the settings timeline.
