Is there a simple/normal way to delete save files from both game and steam cloud?
I still cannot believe that they did not implement this. Save, load and delete are the most basics of the settings.

How about you learn what the steam cloud is?
It will bring every single save back as long as they are on the cloud, and because of these lazy developers who did not implement option to delete saves from the game menu, they are impossible to delete without turning the cloud off. And cloud is too useful to be turned off.
Как сбросить кампанию в Stronghold Crusader?
Здравствуйте! Знаю что её можно сбросить только путём переустановки игры, потому как в самой игре кнопки сброса нигде нету, ни в главном меню, ни в настройках. Поэтому удаляйте и устанавливайте по новой, тогда прогресс будет сброшен и вы получите приемлемый результат. Возможно где-то есть моды на просторах интернета, но думаю что это не настолько важная штука которой необходимо пользоваться постоянно, поэтому проще переустановить и всё.

I've found a solution that works for me, but you have to play offline for it to be permanent.
First exit Steam, then go to your Saves folder as described by Zensalin1. Open the folder and delete those saves you do not want any more. If you want to keep your player name and your place in the career structure then leave the .cfg files alone; otherwise delete those too.
To play again go to Steam/Steam Apps/Common/Stronghold and use the game's self-launcher. Hey presto! the saves are gone. You can create a copy of the self-launch icon on your desktop to make things easier. Do not use the internet shortcut supplied by Steam on your desktop or the saves will all reappear. This shortcut can be deleted with no harmful effects.
The downside to this is that your gametime will no longer register with Steam, but how important is that to you?
