Despite working for a man named Captain Spac-, Space Boyfriend, one of his underlings foolishly threw his mixtape away. Back in the days of real pirates on the open seas, this would have warranted death by walking the plank. Pirates aren’t what they used to be.

Regardless, now Omori and the gang must venture into the Junkyard to find Space Boyfriend’s mixtape.

The first thing you’ll notice is some watermelons among a lot filled with cars. Much like the branches down in the Vast Forest, you can use Omori’s ability to slash through the cones. The blue watermelon at the end contains a gold watch. It doesn’t give any stats, so we’re assuming it’s sellable for decent clams.

As you move deeper into the Junkyard, you’ll notice Kel digging through cans. Keep these cans handy for when you come across the recycling bin again.

For some reason, the enemies you encounter in the Junkyard are all music-related. The first two enemies are a Mixtape and a Doombox. The mixtape can cause you to skip a move, so be careful.

After a terrible pin from Hero, you learn that you’re able to switch party members to clear roadblocks.

While Omori is great for slashing away at obstacles, Aubrey can swing at bigger ones to break them apart.

She tells you that Kel and Hero have their own abilities, which we will hopefully see soon.

If you’re on the controller, you hold down the Y button to switch party leaders.

Once you switch to Aubrey, you’ll remove the bigger block from your path to continue.

However, since I like a bit of normalcy, I put Omori back as the party leader. It’s probably best to tag Aubrey back for the duration of the Junkyard since it looks like it’s her time to shine with these roadblocks.

go windows (c:) > Program Files (x86) > steam > steamapps > common > omori > www > save

and see if you have any files called file1.rpgsave, file2.rpgsave or file3.rpgsave these are the Omori save files, if you don't have them there maybe something happened to your save and you should report it to omocat on the bug report thread (unless you uninstalled the game because I don't believe there are cloud data saves for this game)

I don’t know whether this is fortunate or unfortunate, but I wasn’t one of the ones who waited since Omori’s Kickstarter to get hyped about the game. I only recently found out about Omori last month when I was perusing through horror games on Steam, so I didn’t get to experience the mix of hype and frustration others have for over half a decade. However, I am excited to get into the game now, so here we go!

I’m not familiar with the developer or their art, but from what I’ve gathered, a lot of the game was hand-drawn by the project leader themselves. That’s very impressive, to be honest.

The first cutscene alone before entering the first area was beautifully made.

As soon as you finish the first scene, you enter a white area with a cat, a journal, a laptop, a lightbulb, and some tissues.

Everything in the room is incredibly depressing. I suggest clicking everything, as I’m not sure when we’ll be able to re-enter this area (if at all) as we continue with Omori.

I won’t show all the drawings in the journal because I want you to experience the game yourself, eventually, but I will show you one that stood out to me. Maybe it’s because it reminds me so much of drawings I used to do as a kid.

Trust me. I’m okay.

You’ll want to walk around and click everything. You’re not confined, per se, to the black box in the white area, so walk to the right, and you’ll see a knife. You’ll eventually run into what I can only describe as a sperm. Sorry, but that’s what I see; it could be something completely different.

You can look through the laptop to see what everyone’s Xanga or LiveJournal page looked like before 2010. “Everything was okay,” yeah, this is still something I tell myself.

Eventually, your only option is to walk through the door that, I can only describe, is the stuff of cat-fueled nightmares, but contains Omori’s friends.

It’s clear you need to talk to Aubrey (the girl in the middle), but I would walk around and click on everything first to get acclimated with the controls (and the general vibe of Omori).

After meeting Kel and Hero, you’ll be prompted to speak with Aubrey, who tells you that she’s looking for her stuffed toy. What were they doing before you entered the room? It’s not that big of a room, couldn’t they find it themselves?

Fortunately, I found it during my first try (honestly, I haven’t seen gameplay of this at all) by clicking on the watermelon in the bottom left corner.

After another small talking scene, your friends will tell you that it’s time to meet with Mari and Basil at the playground.

Don’t try leaving without your friends. The cat in the background seems a little judgemental.

Once you leave this almost surreal space, you enter a forested area where Aubrey gets stuck in the trunk of the tree. After a short scene where they reluctantly pull her out, you can finally take control of the group. However, you’re not able to save just yet.

Take a moment to get acclimated to the menu of Omori, but not all the options are available yet.

Head directly south, and you’ll see an almost otherworldly playground with an almost seizure-inducing picnic blanket (for some reason, it was glitching out for me).

Once you make your way to the picnic blanket, you’ll meet Mari and Basil.

They’ll have you look through a beautiful photo album filled with photographs. The artist clearly put a lot of time and dedication into this art.

Once you’ve completed the scene, you’ll be prompted to finally save the game.

You save the game by clicking on the picnic basket, setting up the file for your first playthrough.

A list of save files (all with a WTF value of 13) that you can use to skip to various parts of the game, whether if it's because you want to replay the game, get certain achievements, or to view another route. This will also show how to switch/replace your save files in the game.

This is a link to my Google Doc of various save files
There are save files from the True Route from the prologue up to the end, for the Alt Route, and for achievements
All of these save files have a WTF value of 13

Go to your Steam Library and right-click on OMORI
Click on Properties

Click on LOCAL FILES

Click on Browse

It will open a new window so click on a folder called www

Click on another folder called save

This is where your save files are (file1.rpgsave to file6.rpgsave)
(Example: file2.rpgsave goes into slot 2 so rename it if you want it to go in a different slot)
You must have saves already in your folder to replace them or else they won't show up in the game when you go to load the new save in
So if you have an empty slot and want to put a save there, just go into the game and save at a random place before replacing the old save with the new one you downloaded

Replace the old save with the new one you downloaded into the slot you want and you're done
If you want to backup your old saves, just copy the saves (file1.rpgsave to file6.rpgsave) and put them somewhere safe to put back later

Go to your Steam Library and control-click OMORI
Hover over Manage and then click Browse local files

Control-click the OMORI game icon and then click Show Package Contents

Click on Resources and then click app.nw

Lastly, click on save
This is where your save files are (file1.rpgsave to file6.rpgsave)
(Example: file2.rpgsave goes into slot 2 so rename it if you want it to go in a different slot)
You must have saves already in your folder to replace them or else they won't show up in the game when you go to load the new save in

This is the most common issue people tend to have
For this example, I want to put a save I've downloaded into slot 2, but as you can see it's blank
If you see this in your save/load menu, it won't work when you put file2.rpgsave into your save folder

So you will need to go into the game and save into slot 2 so that it isn't blank anymore like it is shown above

Go to the doc that was linked earlier and download the save file you want (or if you have a save you downloaded from somewhere else)
For this example, I'm just gonna download the save the arrow is pointing at

When I download things, it automatically goes into my download folder on my computer so it may be different for you
Locate wherever the file downloaded went and check what the file name is
In this example, you can see that it is named as file6.rpgsave so we need to change that because I want to put it in my slot 2

Right-click on the file and click rename to rename it to whatever slot you want to put into
In this example, I changed it to file2.rpgsave

Copy/cut the save file you downloaded and paste it into your save folder (the previous section shows how to access your save folder)
When you paste the save file in, it will ask if you want to replace the old one so say yes

Boot up the game again and in your save/load menu, you'll see that the preview name for slot 2 (or whatever save slot you replaced) looks exactly the same as the old file that was there before but that's normal
Load that file you replaced and you should see that it has worked

Go to a picnic basket and save over the save slot you replaced
For this example, I overwrote my save slot 2 and now you'll see that the preview name has finally updated
Previously it said the location was at the Forest Playground and now you can see it has updated to say Otherworld
You're finally done
