Has anyone been successful in doing this? I've tried but haven't been able to. It was pretty easy to do so in GTA 4 (I even made a guide on it). But since everything is online based (or no reason. ). Game won't let me load into singleplayer without proper authentication, yadda, yadda etc., etc.

If it has to be said, I don't care for online compatability. I only play singleplayer and want to test previous versions of the game since I'm having so many problems with the latest patch.

The thing is, it was possible to downgrade GTA 4 without the need to use those "illegal sources".

Different game, I know, but it was possible with workarounds. Was wondering if anyone had any workarounds for GTA 5. From Google searches, it was possible in the past, it seems.

Used to be able to a long time ago. Used to be able to delete a couple update files and hop on an older client. Ppl were doing mods/drops/stats this way too. Pretty sure it was only for the SC version and I think they made it to where you can't do that anymore.

but to do this in future
download rage plugin hook
total legal (application?)
i mean it is created for allowing mods and stuff but it also has feature to back up your current game and revert back to it

I already did that, although I don't need this current version, because this version broke the performance and AA in my game. Game was fine before Import/Export was released.

What I need are previous versions. I know its probably against the rules on most forum sites to host backup versions made with Rage plugin hook.

Since GTA IV and previous games didn't have Multiplayer or a competitive one like GTA V, Rockstar had a more Bethesda approach to mods as they help keep players active, and new people buying an old game. However that's not the case anymore with GTA V. If you want to revert back you gotta get an older version of the game

Or finding someone who has backed up their GameBackups.rph

Which I might have just done.

So every online game ever?
Yeah, but GTA 5 isn't an exclusively online game.

Edit: Why should I have to be online to play singleplayer. Makes zero sense. EA does that ♥♥♥♥ because they believe it stops pirating (even though it doesn't). Shame that Rockstar is going down the same path.

Выключают Bloom Эффект (Едва заметный);
Снижают расстояние LOD Fade, делает такие объекты как детали земли прозрачными или невидимыми;
Изменяют цвет и прозрачность воды;
Модифицируют файл настроек settings.xml, который отвечает за графику.

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0ghz или выше

GPU: Intel HD Graphics 2000, 2500, 3000,
4000, 4400, 4600, 5000, AMD Radeon HD
3000, 4000, и 6000 серии

Скачайте редактор файлов GTA 5 OpenIV;
Запустите OpenIV и пройдите в директорию GTA 5;
Откройте папку Update и выберите файл update.rpf
Установите ASI плагин который всплывет в окне приложения;
Откройте папку "common/data";
Перетащите туда файл visualsettings.dat из архива, тем самым заменив оригинальный;
Теперь в Windows откройте папку Документы и там пройдите "Rockstar Games/GTA V", и вставьте файл settings.xml их архива, заменив внутри находящийся;
Закройте OpenIV и теперь все Сделано.

Данная версия "мода" не затрагивает важные игровые файлы, т.е. не модифицирует, а лишь заменять стандартный файл настроек settings.xml и прописывает значения в командную строку находящиеся в " commandline.txt ". Соответственно данный вариант позволяет играть в Online режиме.

settings.xml вставляем с заменой в "Документы/Rockstar Games/GTA V".
commandline.txt вставляем в корневую папку игры GTA V.

I don't think you can. Maybe if it was on GOG, but certainly not on Steam. In fact, you can't downgrade any online game on Steam(or at least I think so!).

Вы можете значительно ускорить игру, правильно настроив параметры игры, тем самым избавиться от лагов и зависаний. Для этого просто выставите в настройках графики все значение на минимальные, отключите не нужные функции: тесселяция, фильтрация и тп; а также уменьшите разрешение экрана. Также вы можете скачать готовый файл настроек, где все значения выставлены для быстрого полета игры.

Данный архив содержит xml файл настроек графики для запуска ГТА 5 на слабых компьютерах. Для его установки просто скопируйте settings.xml и вставьте в папку " Документы/Rockstar Games/GTA V ".
Тестировалось на intel i5-2450M с видео картой GT 520MX, fps поднялся с 25 до 40 !

Если после установки первого патча с настройками игра продолжает тормозить, то попробуйте накатить данные конфиги.

Здесь по сути тот же принцип что и в первом варианте + маленькое разрешение экрана и отключенные тени. Установка такая же как и в варианте приведенном выше. Тестировалось на
AMD Trinity A5600K @3,7GHz with 512 MB integrated APU Graphics
RAM 4 GB
Win 7 64 bit
выдавало 40-60 fps !

J'ai la solution pour toi : comment downgrader GTA 5 et passer de la version 1493.1 vers la 1493 ;-)).

Ce downgrade ne fonctionne que sur les versions PC Steam officielles.
