I am getting it as well to its when it goes to populate the world i get it. i can not run mods cause of this error. started since .877 came out.

he problem is that for a mod I need to replace gameconfig.xml but with the new gameconfig the game puts me this error message but without the new gameconfig my mod does not work do you have a solution for me?

@Simone251102 same here but no one responded you in 2 years, I guess I have to reinstall the whole freaking game, and my bad for not making a backup. SHOOT!

@simone251102 if you put everything in your mods folder take out your mods folder and make a new one and re-download everything instead of taking 20 hours the game to download.

a strange error i recived whilst trying to boot into storymode in gtav. the game launches but stops when storymode is selected. i tried setting the vram limmiter off but the problem stayed. i deleted the game, redownloaded, reinstalled redux after creating a save file in game(finished the first mission) and before installing any enb or reshade stuff, tried to launch the game again. same error. according the the installation guide on the site, i did everything by the book. any clue how to solve? also as a heads up, im have a 6gb gtx1060, so surely its not from lack of vram.

I am having the same issue, I have a GTX 1070 8GB and 16GB of ram, surely the mod doesn't use that much.

Replace gameconfig.xml in "GTA V/mods/update/update.rpf /common/data" using OpenIV make sure you're in edit mode

• What GPU do you use (NVIDIA or AMD)?
• What version of DirectX are you using?
• Any other information that could be useful in helping you solve the problem.

He said "might" - and drivers being up to date means absolutely nothing if another app, update, or even OS update screwed them up (even constricted pagefile settings can cause this). It takes mere minutes to be sure. I've been on more than 100s of pc's whose gpu drivers/settings let everything else run, and gtav would take a dump.

As for deleting update.rpf (why'd you beeline that. eh?) and the game automatically updating - that doesn't mean it correctly updated. That doesn't mean even that file is correct (or any others). Even verify cache in the past has been known to have issues with various antivirus/permission issues.

And of course, if you modded, are modding, or tried to clean up the folder. It open a whole new can of worms with the gameconfig.xml. You don't just "recently" have a problem with the game. What are not you saying that is relevant to fixing your problem? -.-
