The Stellar Observation Post is a combat anomaly found in EDENCOM-controlled systems.
The site is centered around a destroyable structure, the Stellar Observatory. The Observatory projects a system-wide effect. Destroying it will temporarily remove this effect.
The type of rats in the site and the type of effect it provides depends on the empire that holds the system.

CCP Affinity и CCP RedDawn из команды Team Space Glitter представляют чуть менее чем ничего в представлении прошлого, настоящего и будущего этих загадочных сущностей — Дрифтеров (Скитальцев).
С релизом обновления Carnyx, ранее недоступные Неопознанные Вормхолы (Unidentified Wormholes), появляющиеся по всей галактике Нового Эдема теперь открыты, позволяя тебе попасть в них впервые.
Эти дырки появляются только в системах со зловещими Обсерваториями Джовов (Jove Observatories) которые охранялись дрифтерами и сикерами в довольно агрессивной форме.
Преодолев эти неопознанные дыры ты попадешь в новые ВХ системы с эффектами обычно встречающимися в других ВХ, разломанные планеты, разнообразные сайты которые основываются на существующих загадках Дрифтеров и прольют капельку света на былые события.
Капсулиры также повстречали большие, названные Дрифтерскими, сайты, которые требуют в большей степени кооперативности группы и времени чтобы добраться до глубочайших секретов.
Коротко о Дрифтерах
С момента релиза обновления Rhea, вскоре после обнаружения звезды Каролайн, капсулиры наткнулись на заклоченные структуры, окруженные огроменными облаками молний. Эти структуры, как кажется, Джовского происхождения, в которых побывали ранее невиданные дроны названные Циркадианские сикеры.
Совсем немного известно о происхождении этих дронов, тем не менее их появление запустило целый каскад событий в Новом Эдеме. Это очень пассивные дроны и, возможно, их цели это исследовать системы и сканировать всё, с чем они вступят в контакт, но больше всего их интересовали заклоченные структуры.
Во время релиза обновления Proteus Циркадианские сикеры стали более агрессивными, и при попытке игроков атаковать их не только будут отвечать, а также позовут подмогу. Они и вправду не желают быть потревоженными. но что же они пытаются отыскать?
С обновление Tiamat огромные структуры впервые расклочились, как оказалось это Джовские разведывательные посты и были на своих местах возможно тысячи лет, тайно наблюдая за нами.
Также с расклочиванием Джовских обсерваторий появилась очень враждебная силы. Дрифтеры пришли в Новый Эдем. Мы знаем лишь что это Предтечи Джовов и они сотрудничают с Циркадианскими сикерами.
Дрифтеры очень враждебны ко всем, кто приблизится к Джовским обсерваториям и если игроки отвечают — им приходится сталкиваться с супероружием дрифтеров, оружием неизвестного происхождения, которое наносит чудовищный урон всех типов повреждений. Они очень опасные противники и требуется крайняя осторожность, как это видно на видео от Scope.
Вскоре после этого, с релизом обновления Scylla, некоторые причины подобной агрессивности Дрифтеров вблизи Джовских обсерваторий стали ясны. И Сикеры и Дрефтеры начали разбирать обсерватории и забирать механические части названные элементами Antikythera, также они начали собирать тела капсулиров после каждого боя. Собранные тела и элементы они забирали с собой в неопознанные вормхолы, появившиеся рядом с Джовскими обсерваториями. Какими бы ни были причины для Дрифтеров и Сикеров собирать эти механические и биологические части, им отлично удаётся сохранить их в секрете. Доступ в эти ВХ капсулирам еще закрыт.
Перед выходом обновления Mosaic, угроза дрифтеров было слегка разрешена. Если ты остаешься вдали от Джовских обсерваторий и не пытаешься вмешаться со сбором элементов Antikythera ты в относительной безопасности. Тем не менее, это Ева, и шанс заиметь и исследовать чуток древних Джовских технологий становится достаточно большим. Имперские Вооруженные силы начали вести исследования с элементами Antikythera и корпорация Carthum решила выставить для общедоступной продажи модуль, основанный на этих элементах — Entosis Link. Jove Observatory
Jove Observatories can be found scattered around New Eden. The structures appear as warpable beacons on the overview.
Systems that have Jove Observatory in them can occasionally spawn unidentified wormholes that lead to Drifter systems.
Gleaned information
The observatories can be interacted with by using Entosis Link on them. After each entosis cycle a Gleaned Information item is added to ship inventory. This item contains fragments of observation logs from the time when the structure was still operational.
Entosising observatories is not completely safe activity. The entosis link will prevent the ship from warping away for the duration of the cycle (5 minutes for t1, 2 minutes for t2). The observatory may seem quiet but Autothysian Lancers check on it regularly. If you are unlucky a wandering Drifter cruiser or Drifter battleship may also come. It is believed that the Drifter cruisers and battleships are more common when the system has active unidentified wormhole in it.
There are total of 12 log items that can be received from the observatories. The contents of these fragments relate to various events in history of New Eden which the Jove had observed.

History
These structures first appeared in late 2014 (YC116) when their cloaks started to malfunction, possibly due to Drifter activity. In early 2015 (YC117) the structure cloaks failed and the structures were fully revealed.

В игре появились полевые обсерватории, наконец-то дающие пилотам возможность защититься от вторжений замаскированных кораблей в секторы с низким и нулевым уровнями безопасности. Новый полевой блок регулярно рассылает по всей системе импульс, способный снять маскировку с кораблей, которые затем можно обнаружить зондами боевой разведки и уничтожить.
После разворачивания полевой обсерватории в космосе вы сможете увидеть её из любой точки системы на обзорной панели, подобно приводному маяку. Обсерватория будет действовать в течение 2 часов и рассылать импульс каждые 10 минут, с 40%-й вероятностью снимая маскировку с каждого замаскированного корабля в системе.
Чертежи для строительства обсерватории можно купить у NPC-корпораций.
Как это повлияет на активных игроков, применяющих маскировку?
Чтобы полевая обсерватория не мешала проводить тайные операции флотам тяжёлых диверсионных кораблей и другим активным игрокам, в игру добавлен новый эффект усиленной маскировки.
Он активируется при первом входе в маскировочный режим и будет действовать 15 минут, предоставляя защиту от импульсов. За счёт этого действие полевой обсерватории в основном затронет именно неактивных игроков и тех, кто находится в режиме AFK.
Также обсерваторию можно развернуть только в системах с низким и нулевым уровнями безопасности, поэтому обитатели w-пространства и сектора Почвень смогут и дальше оставаться незамеченными во время проведения диверсионных операций.
