Discussion and information about the structure are very limited. It was added to the game as part of Update 30: Going 1.0. It takes 2 hits to break, is jet black in color, and almost seems to absorb light, as putting flares near it does little to improve its lighting.

Non-trolly answer: it is not patched in yet. You can collect them though - see how many you have back on the mining rig, there is a display counter in the resource trading screen (I think?)

Впервые встретив этот куб я очень обрадовался, подумав что нашел самый редкий ресурс игры, ну и самый дорогой соответственно. Как же я огорчился прочитав данную статью.
В игре он называется "ERR://23¤Y%/", является одним из самых редких ресурсов игры, шанс появления 1 из 26 (3,8%) (я думаю он на равных с "Горько-камнем" по редкости) . Достаточно красив сам по себе, да и месторождение тоже.

Он так же как и остальные ресурсы данного типа может быть загружен в МУЛа без каких-либо проблем. После возвращения с миссии вам выдадут 2000 XP, затем он появится у вас в хранилище (а в 25 обновлении он стал отображаться как ресурс со своей иконкой) , однако ничего сделать с ним нельзя; он не используется в улучшениях снаряжения или открытиях новой "косметики", его также нельзя обменять в магазине минералов, то есть, он абсолютно бесполезен.
В данный момент даже разработчики не знают что делать с этим кубом. Сейчас его просто принимают за пасхалку, а некоторые игроки думают что это и в правду ошибка.
- Когда куб будет отмечен лазерной указкой дворфы будут делать любопытные замечания, такие как: "Интересно, съедобно ли это", "Странная штука", "Что за черт?" (я честно не помню дословно что они говорят в русских субтитрах) .
- Куб можно было получить путем уничтожения рождественских подарков в соответствующее событие.
- В файлах игры куб называется "артефакт предтеч".
- Согласно достижению "Что это такое?" (собрать 5 кубов) , куб горячий на ощупь и пахнет гудроном.

Error Cube

The Error Cube, called ERR://23¤Y%/ in-game, is an extraordinarily rare resource. It must be dug out of the ground, and can be deposited into M.U.L.E. like all other resources. Once brought back to the Space Rig, it will appear in the players stash of minerals, but is not an ingredient in any upgrade or Accessory Shop purchase, and it cannot be exchanged in the Mineral Trade. It is simply a collector's item.
Because it currently lacks any use, it is widely considered as an Easter egg and often mistaken for a bug due to its intentionally glitchy-looking name.
As of Update 25, the Error Cube appears alongside other minerals, but only when viewing the Accessory Shop and Deep Dive terminals.

Its basic shape is a pitch black cube. White, softly pulsating outlines cross its outer exterior in a grid-like pattern, dividing the black cube shape into smaller cube-like shapes. Four lines cross each side of the cube.
The area that the cube is buried in is covered in large glowing gray spikes and a purple shimmering effect, similar to other resources hidden within the walls.

Error Cubes can be found in any Planetary Region and Mission Type, although very rarely, with a 1 in 26 (3.84%) chance of generation in a given mission.

All documented encounters with the Error Helix have happened in Radioactive Exclusion Zone, but it is possible that it can spawn in other biomes. It typically spawns in groups of 2 - 5 other Helices, and rarely will spawn on its own.
Appearance [ ]
The structure resembles a black double-helix, similar to DNA's structure. Aiming the Laser Pointer at the structure gives the tooltip ERR://19%T.
It is part of the games' Easter eggs, and possibly part of future features and events or game lore.
