I've been trying for hours now to get my server to work with no resolve (7Days to die). I've reinstalled, restarted, you name it and I can't connect. Please help - my fun meter is about maxed out.
Submitted a help ticket hours ago an no answer.

Hello all! I have a 4 player server. When I try to add a seed map to my server it stops showing up on the server list and I get "Cannot retrieve server information" when trying to connect via the IP option. I also tried just random and set the world size to 8192 and had the same issue. I tried adding a 8k map seed and setting the map size to 4k to see if that would work and got the same results. however, I am new to 7 Days so I am not even sure that it's possible to run an 8k seed as a 4k map size. Can anyone help me please? Thank you very, very much for your time!
Question is:
Are you just putting a seed in the serverconfig.xml or do you want to add a pregenerated map ?
If serverconfig.xml -> Remember to change GameWorld from "Navezgane" to "RWG"
(I think you can add a 4k seed to any mapsize, but it may get you a complete other map)
If you want to use a pregen map, you have to insert the the World-File to ./Data/Worlds/
It could also be, that you just did not wait long enough for the Server to generate the new Map,
this can take some Time (calculate with 5 to 20 mins, depending on Map size and the things generated (roads etc.)
Aunt Edit told me it could be much simpler, Nitrado got some Problem with the 7DTD Servers.
At least for me it was solved by Support today.
Maybe they got rid of the Problems.
It could help to install the game completely new. [ server dashboard -> reinstall]
If you save your Saves and Mods folder and backup the serverconfig .xml you can reupload them after reinstall is finished.

Сборка 7 Days To Die 16.4 (b8) к сожалению не рабочая. там даже файла конфига нет. Или я чего-то не понял?
С 20 раза зашел в игру. Первые секунд 20 могу и в чат писать и обыскивать все. потом пропадает звук шагов, мир дальше чем был в тот момент не загружается, чат не работает.
я не могу подключится, версия 15.2 всё строго по правилам установи сделал, не один сервер ваще даже и не начинает искать.
не могу подключится,сервера ка на 15.2 так и на 16.4 вообще не ишет,помогите пожалуйста,ставил всё строго как написанно)
Все манипуляции сделал по инструкции, но при попытке подключится к серверу пишет : could not retrieve information.
16.4 х64 - есть мысли?
Константин, сервер сегодня отключен целый день вечеров включат и подключишься

They usually dont answer tickets anyways, i had the same issue and the "problem" was that it takes forever to set up the server initially, if you create a 8kx8k map it takes aroudn 2 hours to create, maybe even more, and restarting the server takes around 15 to 20 mins too. Get a fresh install, set your modifications and wait for 3 hours at least.

I have been playing on this server for a couple weeks and tonight I got the erorr, "could not connect to server; couldn not retrieve the server information". I have been looking through many forums but I can't find any answers. Can anyone help please?
In the game menu click "Connect to Server"
In the bottom of the screen you'll see two black text boxes. One says IP the other is PORT. Manually enter the information here and hit the little button to the right of them that looks like a power plug.

I could never find this server on the in game list so I always used 7daystodie-servers to connect. Thanks so much, just goto lvl 60 and have all kind of loot and time invested in this server, thought i was going to have to restart again.
Next time you in the server list check out the "History' tab and you should be able to double click the server to join. This will be handy incase you ever forget the IP and dont want to track it down.
Also its possible that its an unlisted server if you cant find it in the game's list. Some servers do this to increase security against griefers.
