Does this make game easier? No, not really. Sure, you can die while trying to get shot to get to the low level of hp but in the end, having one or two more downs on the end screen doesn't really make a difference.
Does it make life easier? So much!
I was watching all the changes, Overkill was doing, making berserker builds being more and more pain in the rear than a neat niche playstyle.
Starting with removal of jump damage which allowed you to fine tune your hp level to almost perfect zerker.
Then there was perk deck rebalance which lowered Yakuza's (was a really great berserker deck) armor to the point that it was unable to survive a sniper shot.
Armorer got 2s invulnerability which made it the only real choice for berserker players but with nerfed duration of incendiary grenades it also made it frustrating to fine tune your hp level
(Anarchist is even more trickier but I was never fan of this perk).
Burning yourself at the start of the heist is also a fast kick trigger for most people for being 'idiot' if you play as client (disconnect trigger if you are host).
I can fine tune my hp to the desired level but having to deal with pubs constantly shooting enemies that I'm using to get a nice zerker or being forced to bring flame launchers or molotovs and acing fully loaded so you can replenish them just to burn yourself is so tedious and not fun.
I always liked the berserker and concept of high risk high reward gameplay and before Frenzy skill was added not many people chose this playstyle.
Now with weapon rebalance that buffed the weapons' dmg it is even less practical but I still use it. Playing zerker I feel some nostalgia and it keeps me remember the good old days of Payday. Before the health regen and all that stuff that has changed later.
I still enjoy playing Payday but it's a different game now.
So I don't think Berserker Lives Matter is a cheat (I'm not talking about 0% option here). I see it as a mod that makes you enjoy the game better without giving you unfair advantage. If somebody can't survive with a 10% of hp then I don't really think this mod is gonna change anything. And if they can, as I said, one or two more downs due to failed attempt at getting zerker on the end screen doesn't make a difference.
Now, everything I said above I said with having 10% hp option in mind.
10% hp is default hp you get after down or after being cloaked on dw (mayhem?) and ds. It gives you 1.8 multiplier. It's far from perfect zerker which is 2.0.
In my experience when I was playing without mod I was running perfect zerker much more often in comparison to the present days when I use BLM.
0% option on another hand, when used during a heist is, in my eyes, unfair advantage but I'm not kicking or lecturing people about that. I treat it same as people using lmgs - for me they are so broken that I had to disable ammo pickup for myself to be able to enjoy them from time to time but no one can call them unfair advantage since they are part of the game.
I, myself, like to use 0% option when I'm tinkering with guns and melees to check possible zerker dmg output on different enemies on Zdann's enemy spawner map.
There is also an option for the host to disable BLM features for the clients.
I think Berseker Lives Matter is a really great, quality of life mod. I have never used Better Bots mod but if I had to compare BLM to another mod, this would be it.
There are gonna be people that call Better Bots a cheat, some other will just say it makes the game more fun and enjoyable without having a huge impact on gameplay (and vanilla bots are stupidly op anyway).
In the end, it's you and you only, that will know what you are capable of and know if a mod gives you an unfair advantage or just makes you enjoy the game a bit more.
I disagree in several aspect of this statement. First, let me begin with this.

It makes a huge difference when One Down is enable due to less tolerances downs. If the team doesn't comprise of entire Doctor Bag deployable player, it can be rather punishing to even down once.

It does gives an overwhelming advantage especially at DS difficulty since it increase the weapon damage up to 100%. Weapon with 64 damage can easily hit over 127.76 breakpoint of DW & DS, while a 128 damage can hit the breakpoint of heavy unit which is 255.51. This allowed one to kill a unit with a single bullet to the head rather than 2 itself.

Yes, it does. That wasn't my point.
Again, that shouldn't be your primary reason for taking Frenzy. You could just damage yourself instead. All this mod does, is make it more convenient to activate Berserker, by lowering your HP. You would have to be reaching to call that "cheating". At that point, you might as well call everything a cheat.

(alot will say yes tbh) Even what you said about damage resistance, its really useless but the mod gives you 100% damage bonus.

Instead of lowering your hp to 1/4 it made you start with 0.1 (So you could achieve the x2 of berserker from the start). I might be wrong tho, never used it.As for the OP, I think he's asking when it will be updated to blt 2.0. I'm just sayin', it's a mod that literally decreases the amount of health you get. I think it's very hypocritical to support HUD mods like HoxHud and PocoHud, but then still throw a hissy fit over 20% less HP.
Especially considering that the mod is intended to bring a high-difficulty feature to lower difficulties (such as Overkill/Crime Spree).
