Playing through Batman: Arkham Knight will grant players access to a whole slew of crime-fighting gadgetry that easily trumps the offerings of the previous games in the series.
Like most action games, each gadget is introduced as you come across a need for it, with the exception of one. The Freeze Blast is noticeably absent from all of the tools that are simply handed to Batman on a silver platter.
One very rare obstacle this time around is the good old-fashioned steam vent. The only way past these deadly little tubes of heat is to freeze over the open end.
Head on over to Panessa Studios, enter the building as you normally would and take the elevator down.
Enter the room with the quarantined cells and make your way towards the first one from the left.
Next to this cell is a table with an odd blue item on top of it. That item is your Freeze Blast.
Not only is this item required for obtaining certain Riddler trophies, but it can also serve Batman quite well in combat situations.
Freeze advancing enemies dead in their tracks, set up proximity mines, or rain cold hell upon your adversaries as you glide in.

Gotham needs saving again! This unofficial game guide for Batman: Arkham Knight contains a detailed walkthrough for all the missions in the game (story missions and side quest, e.g. rescuing hostages or eliminating villains).
This unofficial manual for Batman: Arkham Knight is a thorough guide into this complex game. The basic assumption is to help the player solve the most frequently encountered problems, as well as to discuss the entire contents of the game. This guide has been divided into two main parts.
The first one comprises of walkthrough for the game's main storyline and for side missions, which are connected with locating dangerous criminals and capturing them. Batman: Arkham Knight is the fourth installment of the game developed by Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment, where you take control of the Batman and where you get to explore the virtual Gotham City. Like in the previous installments, you are going to take on many challenges, where you have to struggle against the criminals made famous by the comic books. In itself, also the city houses many interesting secrets, which wait for you to discover them. It is worth adding that, for the first time in the history of the franchise, you can explore the are not only by yourself, but also using the batmobile.
Color coding
This guide has been color coded in the following manner:
- Brown has been used for all the important NPCs. This goes for both the Batman's allies (e.g. Commissioner Gordon), and for hostiles (e.g. the Penguin).
- Blue has been used for the names of the individual districts within Gotham as well as the key locations that you visit, e.g. the police station.
- Green has been used for all the items that you obtain throughout the game. This goes for new gadgets, or mission-specific items (access card, etc). All depending on the context.
- Orange has been used for those of the moments, where you need to make use of a specific object, in order to push the mission forward (e.g. the batarang or the explosive gel).

The Freeze Blast is a unique gadget, the possession of it is required for completing some of the secrets in the movie studio. You don't gain it during the completing the main story, but getting it, fortunately, is very simple. Go to the Quarantine Area , the big room which is close to the way out from the movie studio. In that room there are several cells in which Batman keeps/used to keep the infected Jokers. The gadget you are looking for is on the small table, next to the cell on the left, as shown on the picture.
