25 сен. 2017 в 20:08 the _preventhibernation is not working in single player . i do hane it in the steam, ark start command. but its not working i have put in game.ini and gameuser.ini as well still nothing. how would i fix this. the S+ tansmitter will only find ten or twelve dino's. It works fine. You must be doing something wrong.

-preventhibernation as a launch command is working.

Also, remember, the S+ Transmitter only updates every 15 minutes so changes wont be seen immediately.

Uh, to turn hibernation off you had to put -preventhibernation in the Launch Options. You just remove it o.O 9 сен. 2018 в 5:48 forgot to meantion i'm doing this on a server and tabbed "-preventhibernation," idk the line to re-enable it

I dont even know what that means . tabbed . is that even a word to begin with ?

Only singleplayer and non-dedicated servers have hibernation on by default, you can only turn it off using the "-preventhibernation" switch, as Tanya explained removing it turns it back on.

Dedicated servers dont have Hibernation they have Stasis instead, there for you can not turn on hibernation on a server and also not turn it off.

ok. well i'm telling you - the server i have does have hibernation; because the transmitter even said i needed to disable it to use the dino sanner function on it, which i used the in game command line to turn it off (ya know, the one you open with tab?) now because i have hibernation off, the S+ tek replicator menu crashes my game so i'm looking for the command to turn it back on. understand?

Yes now i understand, its called console commands, and you can not enable/disable hibernation via console commands. So what ever you typed did nothing, and most likely the crash your having when opening the transmitter is not related to hybernation.

The server you are running is most likely a non-dedicated and host via the "Host\local" menu in the game.

Ark in your game library.
Right click and select "Properties".
Then you click on "Set Launch Options" and add -preventhibernation there.

Did you upload any items in a obelisk or transmitter ?
The game tends to crash when you open the transmitter and have to many items uploaded.
If this is the case, you can use a Obelisk in Singleplayer to remove any extra's items, and this should resolve your issue with the crash.

oh good lord. it's a rented server. at what point in time did it say dedicated/non-dedicated server? no where, i said server. so, there are no folders, just scripts if anything; and what i put to turn hibernation off wasnt a script. i typed it in like a cheat, and it turned off hibernation. trust me, it did something; because if it didnt, i wouldnt be having this semi problem to begin with and none of us would be talking to each other right now. i have at current 4832 hours in the game, so please stop talking to me like i'm an idiot. i literally just want the command to turn on hibernation, that's all. like how -preventhibernation turns it off? i want the one that turns it back on. if there isnt one, then i need to figure out another way to re-enable hibernation which at this point i dont know how to and apparently neither does google.

should i stream this for you so i can literally show you step by step how i did it? i have this feeling you're skimming over what i'm saying which is why you're not fully understanding what i'm trying to do here.

There is no command for doing what you said (I searched, I could not find that command) which means it is possibly a special command from the company you rent your server. 9 сен. 2018 в 7:55

Hosted dedicated servers (or rented for that matter) dont have hybernation they have stasis, hybernation is a SP/non-dedicated thing. This is why you cant turn it on or off, its not a feature for dedicated servers, and why i thought you are on a non-dedicated no where did you mention (untill now) that you are on a rented server.

And as mentioned before -preventhibernation isnt a console command, and will do nothing when you use it like that, the crash is most likely related to something else.
