In the Wild West of the Great American prairies, outlaws and even sheriffs are ready to sell brave men out for a fistful of dollars. Frontier pioneers and bounty hunters have set carriage treks towards the fabled gold discovery sites in Klondike and Yukon, and to the great plains and deserts of Texas or New Mexico.
Your wagon convoy ran into a bandit ambush and left you behind as the only survivor, but certainly grim with anger to bring those gunslingers to the hangman! Or shoot them right off their horses!
But before, there’s some crafting to do - a shelter for the night, some wood logging for bow and arrows, maybe even mining some ore for horseshoes and trading with the Indians. Perhaps they can teach you how to hunt deer for cooking a steak…

Q: Where can I find wagon axles? [ ]
A: Axles are not yet added to the game. They will become available as soon as we finish working on the wagon mechanics, and this is a rather complex matter to process.
Q: I have a fishing rod, where can I use it? Where can I go to catch some fishies? [ ]
A: There is no ability to do so yet, but we will introduce it to the game one day. It won't happen any time soon, though.
Q: How do I get tar? [ ]
Bandits attacked my ranch and stole all the buckets of tar. How can I get them back? [ ]
A: There are 3 quests available in the town that offer tar in reward for their completion. After you complete all 3 tasks, wait for 48 and the merchants will begin trading tar with you.
Q: How do I make my floor wooden? [ ]
A: To make wooden floor, you need to open building mode by tapping on the icon on the top right corner of the game and tap on the floor. You will see a list of resources needed for upgrading the ordinary floor to a wooden one. Collect them and press the upgrade button. Voila.
Q: Where can I find larch and other resources needed for upgrading workbenches to level 5? [ ]
A: High-level resources have not been added to the game yet. There are a lot of things to consider regarding the future of the craft, and whilst we are at it, tier 5 resources won't be available. But don't get sad about it, once it's ready, there will be a lot of stuff for you to do and explore!
Q: I cooked up some food and filled up some flasks, but they disappeared. Where are they? [ ]
A: All cooked food and filled flasks are stored at the food storage at your ranch. The same goes for all crafted items once you have the necessary storage for them.
Q: Where can I find the Northern Gang Leader? [ ]
A: To complete this quest, you need to kill the gang leader at the Northern Outlaws Stopover. It is located on the North, around the snow, not on the plain (many people confuse it with Outlaws stopover). In case you killed the gang leader prior to getting the quest, wait 7 days before the location gets reset. Then you will be able to kill him and complete the task.
There are some world events in the world of Westland Survival. They appears as individual locations around the map, usually at random positions.

Smuggler [ ]
"The trader has sent you a notice. He definitely should have some nice goods for exchange."
This trader pop up somewhere every 24 hours around the central part of the world map. He offers some uncommon items such as glycerol. Once he appears he sends a mail to the cowboy's dovecote(if there is one) and two timers starts. One is visible which indicates how long he will stay; the other one is invisible that countdown for 24 hours which he will only appear again after that.
Shootout spot [ ]
"You hear shooting and screams nearby. Is it worth to see what's going on there?"
In the shootout spot parts required for the stables such as stirrups, saddle, bridle and horseshoes can be found. After finishing the stables, the difficulty of the shootout spot increases and wagon wheel and Train attack [ ]
"A gang attacked a train. You can take away a part of loot if hurry up. Keep in mind you'll have to fight for it first.
Train attack events always use the same map for every visit. The loots in this events are Tier 1 to 2 items which is usually only good for early game.
This event shares countdown timer with the shootout spot and emergency stop events* and has energy requirement to trigger**. If the cowboy enter the event location, the chance of getting the other two events in the next day will be increased.
*Whenever one of these events appears there will be a hidden countdown timer of 3 hours for another one to appear. If the cowboy enters an event location, a hidden countdown timer of 24 hours will be triggered, The next event will only appears after these timers expire. **Triggering the first event among shootout spot, train attack and emergency stop in 24 hours requires the energy level to drop below 75.
Emergency stop [ ]
"Looks like the train made an emergency stop. You got to figure out what happened."
In this location the cowboy will face a fairly large and strong group of bandits. These bandits are led by a gang leader who, when attacked, will call the two bandit next to him to join the fight. The bandits sometimes drop good loots, therefore the leader should be the last to be taken down for maximum gain since when he is down the other bandits flee. The 5 chests which contain some damaged T4 weapons and other items can only then be opened.
This event shares countdown timer with the shootout spot and train attack events* and has energy requirement to trigger**. If the cowboy enter the event location, this event will not be triggered again for the following 3 days.
*Whenever one of these events appears there will be a hidden countdown timer of 3 hours for another one to appear. Crashed Stagecoach [ ]
The crashed stagecoach will have items good for making workbenches early on, and one usually appears not long after you start playing the game. Unfortunately, the weapons and armor there is fairly damaged.
Bandit's stash [ ]
"You know the coordinates of bandit's loot stash. It is probably unguarded."
After reading the map found from the bodies during ranch raid, the Bandit's stash will appear in the center region for a brief period. Inside the bandit's stash there will be a very weak watchman, a log cabin and some chests. The watchman is easy to deal with. The chests outside the cabin usually contains some junks while the one inside have some nice loots of weapons, armor and resources. Parts for the stables can also be found here(0.17.1).
Special events [ ]
Special events take place at special occasions, usually available in a period of few days to few weeks. They have special designed event locations that usually offer nice special loots. There were seasonal events during Halloween and Christmas in the past.
