Summon Raging Spirits, or SRS , are the red-headed stepchildren of the minion world. Often overlooked, these minions can really shine if you know how to optimize them and use what is considered to be their disadvantages as assets. Their ability to quickly move through packs of monsters, refresh their own duration against bosses, heal you when they die, and blind and stun things around you, make them an all-purpose, all-in-one minion.

While these to not cover every advantage and disadvantage of this build, I believe these are the important highlights.

Playstyle

As an all-inclusive build, capable of all content, this is the perfect build for those who like to focus on just one character at a time. This build is highly modular, and you can scale it into the 12-15+M DPS ranges should you want to go for high amounts of investment. How much of its proposed safety you want to utilize is also up to you. You can peel pack various defensive layers you do not believe you need to invest in damage.

Primarily a bosser, but this build be played both as quickly or slowly as you are comfortable with. The goal is to get a ‘rolling wave’ of SRS by casting a few skulls, using a movement skill, then casting a few more. Over time you’ll master the ‘feel’ of sustaining the SRS wave, as well as have a better grasp of the aggro range of the skulls and how to best lead them through packs. Unleash helps with this immensely.

Any boss you have have the ability to pre-cast and set up all 20 skulls in advance for will quickly meet its fate, or in the case of all these immunity bosses lately, its phase.

Damage Scaling and Defensive Layers

Similarly, your SRS can both Blind and Stun which provides you a natural 50% chance to evade from Blind, and well as interrupting some casts and preventing attacks due to stuns.

Current League Tips and Suggestions

The current difficulty of Ultimatum is a steep curve, as Chris Wilson did say that characters would have trouble initially clearing every layer of Ultimatum at the start. You may need to adjust the build to suit your individual needs when encountering this content, including running Melee Splash to combat the high density of mobs in these encounters, or running 4L Meatshield Zombies to try to divert attention away from you until you can achieve the gear needed for SRS to dominate these encounters.

Hello there Exile, I finally came around to write a little Guide for my long-time (since Legion) league starter.

3.16 Balance Manifesto Notes:


The Build is viable in 3.15!

40% Damage, which takes the Damage back as it was at the start of 3.14.

3.15 Changes

- Minion Damage Support now gives supported Minion Gems “25% less Life”
--> This basically renders it useless for us.

- Numerical Changes to most of our Support Gems
--> This will reduce our Damage by a bit, but we are still well off

- Mana Multipliers increased for most of our Gems
--> Casting SRS will cost

63% more Mana, but since we can get some more Mana Regen or reduced Mana cost Crafts, we are able to mitigate it

- Elemental Ailment Crafts and stats did take a considerable hit
--> To get to 100% chance to avoid Elemental Ailment, you will need Synthesised Gloves with 25% chance to avoid

- Rumi’s was nerfed quite a bit
--> Block is still fine

Build Concept:
The Build is all about exploding Raging Spirits with the Minion instability Keystone and the Tavukai Unique Amulet. We use the Amulet and the Infernal Legion Support to make the Spirits take damage until they die and explode dealing damage based on their max life.
The Build can easily be played as a starter and will take you through all the content there is and will obliterate any Boss there is.
The build could be done without any Unique, but to not feel clunky and to not loose to much damage you will need at least the Tavukai Amulet.

5. Gear

5.1 Gear Progression overview

This section is meant to give you a short overview of how the progression of the different Gearslots could go. For further Details of the Gear checkout section 5.2 and 5.3

Most of our Gear slots have a straightforward gear progression “Get incrementally better Stats on them”.
But A Few slots influence our Gem-Setups namely our Chest and Rings.

The straightforward ones:

Amulet: Tavukai look for High Minion Life and Minion Damage rolls. Look for a low Chaos Resistance roll (-17 would be best for us)

Belt: you could use (Replica) Siege Breaker or (better) a Stygian Vise with Life, Resistances, Minion Life.

Wand: Any combination of (the more the better): Minion Life, Minion Damage, +1 all Skill Gems, +1 Minion Skill Gems

Shield: Recover Life on Block, Spell Block, Max Life, Resistances, Open Suffix (to craft Avoid Elemtal Ailments)

Gloves: Life, Resistances, Minion Life. Synthesised Implicit with Avoid Elemental Ailments

The not so straightforward:
Helmet:
Depending on its rolls and depending on the number of Links in your Chest you either socket your Zombie Setup or your SRS setup in the Helmet.
As long as you do have a 5- or 6-Link Chest and no Elder Helmet with at least two stats of “+Level of Socketed Minion Gems” and “Socketed Gems are supported by Minion Life/Concentrated Effect” you put your Zombie Setup in the Helmet.
If you only have a 4-Link Chest you can socketed your SRS in the Helmet right away.
Once you got an Elder Helmet with at least to of these stats you swap your Zombie and SRS setup.
Take care that you don’t socked a gem that is already on the Helmet (Minion Life/Conc Effect) when putting your SRS there.
Your Endgame Helmet will have be an Shaper+Elder Helmet with:
+3 Levels of Socketed Minion Gems
Socketed Gems are supported by Minion Life
Socketed Gems are supported by Concentrated Effect
Socketed Gems are supported by Hypothermia

Note: since 3.15 the minion damage support gem reduces the maximum Life of the Minions, which means less damage for us. Try to avoid it!

Both Stats are Hunter-Mods, therefore you will need a hunter influenced Chest.
Your typical progress would likely be:
Generic max Life/Resistances Chest (5 or 6 Links) -> Hunter Chest with “increased Effect of Offerings” (5 or 6-Link) -> Hunter Chest with “increased Effect of Offerings” and “You can apply an additional Curse” (5 or 6-Link)

When you get a Chest with an additional Curse you will want to adjust your Ring or curse Gem Setup.
In general you do have two options to apply the additional curse:
1. Adding it to your Ball Lightning-Hextouch Setup
2. Ring with “Curse on Hit”

Once we have a Chest with an additional Curse we can go for a Ring with “Curse Enemies with Flammability on Hit”.
Best option there would be a Ring with both Warlord and Redeemer Influence to both roll Flammability on hit and increased Minion Damage.

5.2 What to look for:

5.2.2 Defences:
We want to reach Res cap, max Block and Elemental Ailment Immunity. Combined with Fortify (From shield Charge) and Bone Armour (self casted – left click), we can get quite tanky.
For Ailment Immunity we will need to craft on some of the items, for block we just need a shield with spell block and a Rumi’s Concoction
Besides that, we need life and resistances.

5.2.3 Stats:
You will need some Dex, 68 total, for Skitter Bots, on your Items. I usually get some on a Ring or Gloves. Get the Dex you can and adjust the Gemlevels accordingly. Level your Gems that need Dex only as far as 68 Dex.

I started playing Path of Exile back in Harbinger League, and have really grown to love this game. Initially I started playing as LL SRS, but eventually settled on a Life-based version of the build.

In the past two years, there have been many changes to the base build that was released in Harbinger, from the nerf of MoM in 3.1, to the ascendency changes in 3.2 and beyond. As such, I’ve taken the many things I’ve learned during this time, and I’m dedicated to continuing to offer a updated and playable SRS build so that everyone who is interested in SRS has the opportunity to fall in love with the spell as much as I did.

SRS should actually shine a bit with this league mechanic, since interacting with your garden is your call to make. This means you can pre-cast all 20 SRS and annihilate everything that spawns.

1.0. Introduction 1.1. Pros & Cons
  • Bosser - Has cleared all Boss content including Red Elder, Shaper, Uber Atziri and Uber Elder.
  • Mapper - No ‘Dead Mods’ to speak of. You can run anything. Reflect, no regen, no problem!
  • Magic Find - Achieves
  • Damage Halts - Bosses with powerful AoE (Phoenix, Shaper) can wipe out your SRS with a single ability and thus halt your damage. This is especially true if you favor Ruthless over Empower. It then takes time to get the rolling wave of skulls going again.
  • Ramp-Up Time - It does take time to build up 20 skulls, especially after the nerf to Mistress of Sacrifice. Sources of cast speed plus the increased duration of SRS makes this a bit smoother.
  • Minion Build - This is a summoner build. There is no leech, or life gained on hit, no endurance charges, and only a modest amount of life regen in order to help negate the life cost of SRS. Your only defensive layers are a moderate eHP and your ability to move fairly quickly between a extremely quick shield charge and flame dash together. You cannot plant your feet for long periods of time or face tank anything. You have to stay on the move.
1.2. Playstyle

Like other summoner builds, you do not want to be ‘in’ on the action. Apply EE, maintain Fortify, and then keep your distance. High movement speed allows for easy evasion of choreographed mechanics and a high-ish health pool in end-game gear (

7.3-7.5k eHP) allows you to live through the stray hit here and there.

1.3. Origins

A lot changed in the last two years. Things that I couldn’t have foreseen without actually playing the character through the gearing process. This guide is my attempt to share with you all everything that I’ve learned so far, some of the problems I’ve run into, and how I decided to solve them.



2.0. Skill Trees, Ascendancy, and Leveling

There are two ways to level with this build in ‘ez mode’ - Red Covenant or Brands.

Red Covenant allows SRS to stay on a 4-Link with a significant damage buff, with reduced total skulls. This is amazing early on without any Elreon jewelry, and these helmets are niche and shouldn’t be more than an alch or chaos at Leaguestart. You can also use them on this 4-Link well into early mapping if farming for a Tab isn’t your jam. Don’t forget to use an Aurumvorax as your weapon since you won’t be able to wear Goldrim for resists!

Brands are, however, a very reliable way to level, and quite ubiquitous. 4-Linked Storm Brand and a 4 or 5-L Spire trap will get you far, but it will start to break down around Act 6 and 7 unless you prioritize getting Spiritual Aid. Then Minion Damage will affect your damage and Scale your Brand/Spire Trap.

2.1. Ascendancy Choices
  • Mistress of Sacrifice (The Labyrinth)
  • Mindless Aggression (The Cruel Labyrinth)
  • Unnatural Strength (The Merciless Labyrinth)
  • Commander of Darkness (The Eternal Labyrinth)

Above is a recommended order, but Mistress of Sacrifice and Commander of Darkness can be interchanged based on preference.

If you are wanting to be more tanky, drop Commander of Darkness for Bone Barrier.

Feel free to use zombies/spectres/skellies as you level to fill in gem slots until you can get the gems you’ll need for end game set-up. Zombies synergize the best with the leveling process, as you will take both Puppet Master and Herd of the Flock which make them pretty tough, even on their own and linked to nothing.

The following is a list of the other gems used in the build and their minimum equip level. Note that some of these will be offered as quest rewards. Others, you will have to buy from other players or wait until you can purchase them from Siosa in the Library (Act 3) or Lily in Lion’s Eye Watch (Act 6).

2.3. Pantheons
  • Soul of the Brine King - Make sure you get the bonus effects from the Divine Vessels.
  • Solaris is also acceptable.
  • Soul of Ryslatha - When on low life with pantheon, this provides nice recovery/survivability but becomes insane when coupled with Blood of the Karui.
2.4. Bandits

In Act 2, Kill ALL THREE Bandits to receive two passive points from Eramir.

2.5. Build Overview & Keystone Explanations

Elemental Equilibrium
Elemental Equilibrium is an amazing damage boost for this build. SRS uses physical and fire damage, and we add additional cold damage through Hatred. This leaves lightning as the remaining element to proc the effect, and this build includes three different ways to do so. EE lasts 5 seconds at a time and can be refreshed as needed to keep 100% uptime.

You will know when EE has been properly applied to an enemy by the Pink/Purple/Blueish spell affect at their feet, which is seen below:

You will also see a written confirmation that EE is both active and attuned to the correct element when you see “Vulnerable to Fire, Vulnerable to Cold” listed on the mob’s affixes. With trash this may be hard to see, but with rares and bosses, you should be able to see this on mouseover targeting. It will look like this:


The second is through Shield Charge, which takes advantage of the ‘Adds x to x lightning damage on Attacks’ affix found on jewelry, or which can be enchanted on jewelry by Elreon when he reaches level 6. Shield Charge will deal Area of Effect damage at the end animation of the charge in a circle in front of the player. This AoE damage will apply EE to any mob affected by the AoE damage it causes, therefore allowing you to blanket a tightly packed mob group with EE all at once.


Necromantic Aegis
Necromantic Aegis is the other passive skill this build utilizes. It removes all bonuses provided by modifiers on the equipped shield and applies those modifiers to the player’s minions instead. This includes implicit modifiers such as armor rating, chance to block. In the case of Lycosidae, the ‘Hits Cannot Be Evaded’ passes directly to minions, thus negating any accuracy requirement whatsoever. In Path of Building this was shown to be an absolutely astronomical increase to DPS, far more than any other shield available, including Victario’s Charity.

В моем случае призраки выполняли в основном защищающую функцию, но вы можете изменить свой выбор в сторону атакующего направления.
Я использовал Бессмертных богословов, которые периодически создают защитнй купол. Внутри этого купола Вы не получаете урон от ударов извне. Обитает в Перстне Господнем, акт 3.

Также я использовал Проповедника праха, который очень эффективно накладывал проклятие горючести на противников. Живет в Крематории, тоже 3й акт.

правда по иронии именно это умение меня и убило, когда на хантере у меня сгорела вся мана, костяная броня, наш основной инструмент восстановления маны, была в откате и я не смог прожать клич стойкости, чтобы восстановить здоровье.

Убиваем всех бандитов, очки умений важнее.

В пантеоне можно взять душу Лунарис, чтобы не получать удары по цепи.

Среди малых богов вариантов много, подстраивайте ваш выбор под конкретный бой.

Неистовых духов желательно иметь 21 уровня с 20% качеством, так как качество повышает скорость передвижения самих духов.

Метка смерти первый по важности камень поддержки, получаем во 2м акте, используем всю игру.

Урон приспешников ультимативный выбор в любом билде на миньонов, не имеет минусов, желательно использовать пробужденную версию.

Концентрацию стихий также начинаем использовать при надевании перчаток, дает много урона но отключает поджог (от которого все равно урона почти нет).

Естественно в идеале использовать редкий жезл призыва со свойствами урона, скорости и времени существования приспешников (какими-то из этих свойств).

он увеличивает урон приспешников, встречается в Спуске.

Обувь и пояс также повышают нашу выживаемость, старайтесь набрать какое-то количество сопротивление хаосу


В качестве шлема идеальным выбором станет костяной шлем со свойством на +2 (или 3) к уровню камней приспешников.

Из уникальных флаконов мы используем Отвар руми благодаря которому удается достичь капа блока в 75% для атак и чар (при активированном подношении костей).
