Anglerfish Girl is the final monster Luka faces before meeting with Kraken. She is devoid of thought and is completely blind. To compensate; she senses body heat to detect her prey and devour their semen. She is also notably many times larger than Luka.
After being defeated by Luka, she is sealed into the form of a regular anglerfish. Oddly enough, she didn't seem to notice that she had been sealed.

“A large fish monster, she is close to the mermaid family. However since she lives in the deep sea, her face and behavior are much different. Unable to see due to living in the darkness of the deep sea, she uses temperature to detect her prey. Her abdomen has a mouth that is not seen in other monsters. As if a digestive organ, her flesh is able to suck in and assimilate her prey. Once her prey gets stuck in her flesh, they are slowly dragged into the Anglerfish Girl’s body. Even after being assimilated, it appears as though the man’s consciousness remains. Like that, the man will remain aware of being one with the Anglerfish Girl, but unable to speak or do anything.
Her digestive organ is able to bring extreme pleasure to the man as it fuses him with her. Like that, when her catch is a man, she can obtain additional food.”
Attacks
*Temperature Sensing: Used to detect Luka's presence. Leads to Approach on the next turn.
*Approach: Used to approach Luka. Follows Temperature Sensing and leads to Absorb on the next turn.
Absorb: Triggers bind status and deals damage. Followed after Approach. If used four times in a row, it will lead to a one hit KO via instant follow-up.
Battle Overview
This battle is a bit complicated in that all of Luka’s attacks and skills are completely futile as they will harmlessly bounce off her body. She immediately follows with Absorb, which requires three turns of Struggling otherwise an instant-loss will occur if he allows her to use it four times in succession. After breaking out, he is then given the option to attack from behind, and the attack successfully connects. Skills do not work, as he can’t swim around her and use a skill at the same time. Other than that, just keep normal attacking, Meditation if necessary, and Struggle thrice once she uses her only Absorb attack. After the first Absorb, she will waste two turns to use Temperature Sensing and Approach before attacking, so take advantage of the opening as much as possible.
If Luka loses, he’ll be absorbed by her and assimilated into her body.

Walkthrough [ ]
WARNING: This walkthrough contains information that also spoils content with regards to the Will-Power Temple as clearing it is required to advance Kotone's relationship content.
For reference, in this guide, bold choices represent those necessary to progress through content. Italic choices represent options that give you points towards the relationship. Bold italics represent the best possible point gains in a specific set of choices. Underlined choices negatively impact the relationship with some possibly locking you out of content; the consequences of negative choices will be underlined.
Phase One: Worthy of Love [ ]
Kotone's relationship content currently requires the player to either willingly or unknowingly fall for her trap. Kotone's offer of mental strengthening to make the Trial of Will of the Will-Power Temple easier is a trick. While she will increase your Willpower as promised, she'll also layer in more suggestions and hypnotic controls to allow her to dominate you more easily and vastly increase the challenge of the Temple. However, if you can clear the Will Side of the Temple as well as defeat the Oni Twins in their Hard Mode Battle with this handicap, you'll be able to progress in your relationship with her.
Kitsune's Mental Help [ ]
To begin with, Kotone's relationship will only advance if you subject yourself to her trap and allow her to place triggers in your mind during her hypnosis help sessions. When entering the hypnosis room for the first time, you'll be presented with these options:
- "Ask about her services." -- This will prompt Kotone to explain her hypnosis sessions to you, and prompt you to respond with:
- "Sure." -- This will lead to your first hypnosis session, Flame Induction I, where Kotone will use a mote of foxfire to hypnotize you. The end result of this is that you will receive the perk Kotone's Hypno Training 1, a purely beneficial perk that increases your Willpower by 1, but it also lays the foundation for Kotone to place more triggers in your mind during future sessions as it increases the hidden fetish of Hypnosis Addict. In addition, the hypnosis sessions will award 1 point each for a total of 5 points.
- "What's hypnosis?" -- This option just provides general information on hypnosis itself for those interested in more information on the subject, and will lead you back to this menu without this choice.
- "I'll pass." -- Will lead you back to the general menu.
Upon reentering the hypnosis room after the first session, the first option will change to "Get a hypnosis session." which will progress your relationship with Kotone and deepen your hypnosis four more times. These sessions will cost 100 Eros and will need to be repeated until you have acquired the perk Kotone's Hypno Slave. The first paid scene will be Flame Induction II where you'll be hypnotized with foxfire again. This will upgrade the prior perk into Kotone's Hypno Training 2, increasing your Willpower by 2 instead of 1 as well as adding a 5% resist to the Sleep status effect. However, it will also decrease your resistance to the Trance status effect by 5% as well as increase your hidden Hypnosis Addict fetish to level 2.
After the fourth hypnosis session, you'll be presented with choices:
- "'Yes, Kotone. '" -- Progresses to the final hypnosis session.
- "'Y-You've been messing with my head!'" -- Adds two choices in place of this one:
- "'Let me go!'" -- Picking this will add another new option:
- "Run!" -- This will allow you to escape without any checks required.
- "Free me already!" -- You can be freed of Kotone's Hypnosis through this option if you wish.
After the final hypnosis session, you'll be given a few choices to react to Kotone's deeply controlling hypnosis:
- "'I-I love you.'",
- "'A-Are you sure you don't want to tease and torment me. '",
- "'Th-That was amazing. '",
- "Stay quiet.", and
- "Glare at her defiantly." -- will all progress you normally.
- "'I-I trusted you.'" -- Leads to another set of choices:
- "'B-But- I-' (Break down crying.)" -- This will make Kotone apologize for going overboard with her controlling nature, and will give you another set of choices:
- "'I loved it. But. '"
- "'It was really relaxing. '"
- "'Not really. '" -- All three will lead to normal progression as well, and will change the dialogue slightly when you leave.
No matter which choice you pick, you will progress normally through the content and obtain the Kotone's Hypno Slave perk and 1 point. The only way to break it off with Kotone is through purposeful choice, so have no fear on that front.
Once you have obtained the Hypno Slave perk, you can attempt to pass the Trial of Will, each part with an increased level of difficulty. Upon succeeding in both the Trial of Will and Trial of Strength, you can enter the double doors in the center of the Will-Power Temple. There you will encounter a group of Kunoichi and their teacher, followed by the boss battle of the area, against a pair of Oni twins. To progress down Kotone's relationship path, you must challenge both Oni at once while possessing the Hypno Slave perk.
If you are successful, you can return to Kotone, who congratulates you and states that you're now hers, and invites you into her room where a number of scenes become available.
Phase Two: Worthy of Trust [ ]
After passing Kotone's challenge, you will be able to select "Freedom." to get rid of the hypnosis, or "Kotone." where she will take you to her room for a sex scene which awards 1 point. No choices at the end of this scene will award any points, and you'll have another opportunity to free yourself. From now on, you will need 40 points total to see all current content. A deluge of options can be accessed in Kotone's Room, first however, I will run through what's changed in the hypnosis room's choices. You can now select any hypnosis session you'd like to replay, as well as go to Kotone's room from here. Some of her talk options will now give you progress towards your relationship with her as well:
- "Will trials.", and
- "Incense." -- do nothing.
- "The lighting." -- gives a choice:
- "Light a candle." -- Awards 2 points and gives another choice:
- "Console." -- Awards 1 point.
- "This is your own fault." -- Awards no points, and you cannot view this scene again to get the point above.
- "Fluffy Ears." -- Awards 1 point.
- "Fluffy Tail." -- Leads to another small choice:
- "Touch." -- Awards 1 point.
- "Don't touch." -- Brings you to another choice with the same effects as these, except the "don't touch" option will end the conversation.
A total of 5 points can be gained by choosing the best options.
Now onto Kotone's Room menu:- "Erotic options." -- Brings up sex options, most of which give points.
- "Cuddle." -- Leads to cuddling options which each give points.
- "Talk." -- Leads to the talk menu which is required to progress.
- "Hug Kotone." -- Awards 1 point for the first time.
- "Go back to the hypnosis room." -- Leads back to the previous screen.
Starting with the erotic options:- "Have mind melting sex." -- Replays the initial sex scene that plays upon entering Kotone's Room for the first time.
- "Ask for a titfuck." -- Awards 1 point.
- "Ask to be her chair." -- Brings you to a choice:
- "Be her chair." -- Awards 1 point.
- "Back out of being her chair." -- Goes back to the erotic options menu.
A total of 3 points can be gained in this menu.
- "Cuddle with Kotone." -- Awards 1 point.
- "Offer cuddling headpats." -- Requires you to have touched her ears in the hypnosis room, awards 1 point, and gives a choice:
- "Keep going." -- Awards 2 points.
- "Just cuddle." -- Leads to the post cuddle scene like normal.
After any cuddle option and some sex options, four different post cuddle scenes have a chance to play, with some giving points depending on your choices. First is the normal post cuddle scene, which doesn't give any points. Next is a "Kill the bug" scene, in which you need to pick "Carefully take it outside." to gain 1 point'. A nightmare scene in which you can pick "Hug the panicked kitsune." for 2 points or "'Are you okay?" for 1 point. And finally there is a surprise blowjob scene in which you automatically gain 1 point. These are randomly picked so you may have to pick cuddle options multiple times to get all points.
A total of 9 points can be gained from this menu with the best choices.
Now for the talk options, some of which you are barred from progressing with until you gain a certain amount of points or have explored another option:- "Our Relationship." -- Opens the relationship menu.
- "So you have five tails?" -- Leads to a sub-choice:
- "Ask her age." -- This option only gives points if you have 20 points or more with Kotone. If you do, you'll gain 2 points and be given a sub-menu:
- "I like it." -- Awards 3 points.
- "You look pretty good for someone that old." -- Awards 1 point.
- "It's weird. " -- Detracts 1 point.
Additionally, asking "So you have five tails?" again after learning about her age will give you a new sub-menu:
- "Why does it matter so much?" -- Gives some information and leaves you with the other three choices.
- "I'm sure I can help you grow more." -- Awards 1 point.
- "It doesn't matter how many tails you have." -- Awards 1 point.
- "Yeah. " -- Ends the conversation.
A total of 7 points can be gained from this menu with the best choices.
First, the relationship menu:
- "Why do I still need to be your hypno slave?" -- Awards 1 point and brings up a choice:
- "The effects it has while adventuring are kind of a pain. " -- Awards 1 point.
- "I'm ok with this." -- Ends the conversation.
- "Your first love?" -- This option is required to progress Kotone's content, but does not progress anything unless you have 35 points or more with her. This and other progressing scenes will be called the "true" scenes from here on. If you do view the true scene however, you will be given a set of choices:
- "'I love you. No matter what.'" -- Awards 5 points.
- "Hug her." -- Awards 2 points.
- ". " -- Awards 1 point.
- "'I don't think I can stay with you. '" -- Detracts 10 points and gives you an "are you sure" option. If you tell to wait, you will regain 5 points, but if you say nothing, you will end the relationship permanently.
- "Give her a hug." -- Awards 2 points and gives two more choices:
- "Give her another hug." -- Awards 2 points.
- "'How can I help you work through this?'" -- Awards 1 point.
A total of 15 points can be gained from this menu with the best choices.
Next is the hobby menu:- "Cooking?" -- Leads to a flavor choice and automatically gives 1 point.
- "Reading?" -- Awards 1 point.
- "Writing and Drawing?" -- Leads to a sub-menu:
- "Ask about her older writing." -- Awards 1 point.
- "Ask about her newer writing." -- Leads to another sub-menu only if you have 10 points or more with Kotone. Almost every choice can be picked for points on a repeat of this option:
- "It's sweet and erotic, just like you.♪" -- Awards 2 points.
- "You're a very romantic woman aren't you?" -- Awards 2 points.
- "That porn looked really hot. " -- Awards 2 points.
- "I've been reading Lucidian Sweethearts with Minoni!? You made it?" -- Only appears if you've read Lucidian Sweethearts with Minoni before this. Awards 2 points only on your first time. It's recommended to pick this first if you have it unlocked
- "It's kind of lame. " -- Detracts 2 points.
A total of 14 points can be gained from this menu with the best choices.
Lastly is the past menu:- "The World?" -- Awards 1 point.
- "The Temple?" -- Awards 1 point.
- "Kotone's past?" -- Awards 1 point and unlocks the fourth and fifth choices.
- "Sofia?" -- Awards 1 point.
- "Feng?" -- This choice will open a sub-menu only if you have 30 points or more with Kotone:
- "Give Kotone a Hug." Awards 2 points and leaves you with the rest of the options, making these free points.
- "'Maybe you two can still be friends?'" -- Awards 1 point.
- "'Is there a way to get her back her memories?'" -- Awards 1 point.
- "'I'm sorry. '" -- Awards 1 point.
- "'Why would you do that. '" -- Awards 1 point.
- "'How could you. '" -- Awards 1 point.
A total of 7 points can be gained from this menu with the best choices.
At this point, if you've gotten every possible point you can besides those barred by a point requirement, you should have a total of 42 points, however to ensure you don't get stuck, see all of Kotone's content, and can progress to the last few scenes of this phase, make sure you've done these actions in this order:- Ask about Kotone's newer writing and follow the instructions for the best point gains.
- Ask about Feng in the past menu and follow the instructions for the best point gains.
- Ask about Kotone's age and choose the best option.
- Ask about Kotone's first lover and pick the best option.
- Ask if Kotone is afraid of a normal relationship and follow the instructions for the best point gains.
After you've done the last step, you'll automatically be taken to the "Therapy cuddles!" scene. After this scene, the cuddle menu will have the new choice, "Trust building tail petting." that will award 2 points. You need to choose this option three more times before Kotone's relationship progression can be completed.
After the second trust session, you'll have a choice:
- "It's okay." -- Awards 2 points.
- "What the hell just happened?" -- Awards 1 point.
The third trust session will award 2 points, and the final session will award 2 points as well.
After all this, you can then select "Lovey Dovey sex." in the erotic options menu, which will allow Kotone to grow a sixth tail, changes the Hypno Slave perk into the Hypno Lover perk, and changes some other options' dialogue. And with that, you have successfully completed all of Kotone's content in the current build! Enjoy having your mind melted over and over again. consensually this time!
Kotone's next phase of content is currently unknown as of this time. She does have more content planned however as well as her involvement with other characters such as Feng.
Monster Girl Quest! is an eroge series hailing from Japan.
