Actually Additions is a utility and technology mod created by Ellpeck. It works with Minecraft versions 1.7.10, 1.8.9, 1.9.4 and 1.10.2. The most stable versions are for MC 1.7.10 and 1.10.2.
Actually Additions adds lots of machines, instruments, food and other utilities. Like many other "industrial" mods, Actually Additions mostly uses RF energy to power its machines, but this mod also has its own generators and even machines that work without energy. Actually Additions doesn't add standard wires or tubes to control item logistics and energy flow - instead, Actually Additions has special blocks, like the ESD or Phantomface. Capacitors in this mod work similar to ones in GregTech 4 rather than Thermal Expansion. Blocks like Energizer, Enervator and 5 types of batteries are here to store RF and fill instruments with it.

The first time the Actually Additions Manual is opened, a message and button will appear, allowing for the automatic addition of bookmarks recommended by the mod author. Once that message is cleared, it will be replaced by a random quote about the mod and links to the in-game config and achievements page. The main page of the Actually Additions Manual will also include the edition of the manual; this is usually rendered as "Edition " plus the version number, such as "Edition 57", although some manuals have special editions for certain users. The bottom of the GUI includes twelve bookmarks that can be used to mark pages. There is one bookmark on the right side of the manual that links to the Trials section. The Actually Additions Manual's sections are organized into a table of contents based on blocks, items, Crystal Flux (CF) usage or lack of usage, and other miscellaneous sections, although there is a section for all pages and a search bar.

Trials
The Actually Additions Manual has a section for "Trials"— a set of challenges for players to complete if they desire. Trials are not automatically checked; when completed, the player must mark the Trial as complete in the book manually.
Actually Additions uses Crystal Flux (often abbreviated as CF) as its own form of energy. It functions identically to Forge Energy and Tesla, and it can be converted at a 1:1 ratio to either of those systems. This does not require any energy conversion block. Before version 1.11-r82, Actually Additions used Redstone Flux (RF) and Tesla, which could also be converted 1:1.
The Empowerer is a block added by Actually Additions. It used to "empower" items and blocks. The Empowerer requires four Display Stands to be surrounding it, two blocks away at each side. In order to empower the center item, each Display Stand must hold a specific item and requires a minimum amount of Crystal Flux. The items (known as modifiers) and the amount of energy is dependent on the recipe.
An item can be placed in the center, like the Display Stand, via right click.
