The Zenith is the most powerful sword in the game. However, it has the most complex crafting tree requiring a total of 18 swords to craft, including Terra Blade materials. The raw materials required to craft it are displayed below.

Copper Shortsword [ ]
Upon creating a character (as long as it isn't a Journey Mode character, in which case you will receive the Iron Shortsword ), you automatically receive the Copper Shortsword . Should you have tossed it out however, a new one can be made with 5 Copper Bars (15 Copper Ore ). You should try to keep the old one however, as tin is not a replacement. Players with tin worlds will need to obtain copper from crates, the Extractinator, kill Slimes carrying copper ore, or go to another world that has copper.
Starfury [ ]
The Starfury is a sword that creates falling star projectiles, similar to the Fallen Stars found at night. It can be found inside chests on Floating Islands. Keep in mind, though, that not all chests contain a Starfury, and not all islands have a chest. If no chests have a Starfury, it is necessary to fish for Sky Crates.
Enchanted Sword [ ]
Terraria's Sword in the Stone, the Enchanted Sword is a sword that shoots sword beams and can be found in Enchanted Sword Shrines. You'll recognize one when you see a 1 block wide shaft leading to a rainbow shaped cave at the end with 2 pools of water on each side and a sword in the middle. Enchanted Sword Shrines are rare and are not guaranteed in a World. Furthermore, a lot of the time, the sword is fake. You can tell if it is fake if the sword look dull and bland. A real one has blue and yellow with a red jewel connecting the blade and the hilt. A real sword has 90% of dropping the Enchanted Sword (item), and a 10% chance dropping a Terragrim .
If you were unable to find a Sword Shrine, you can also obtain it by opening Golden or Titanium Crates. Golden Crates can be fished in Pre-Hardmode, while Titanium Crates can be fished in Hardmode. Both crates contain roughly the same loot.
The Zenith is a Hardmode, post-Moon Lord melee weapon crafted using a variety of swords obtained throughout the game's progression. When swung, the sword sprites of its component swords fly towards enemies within a 20-tile radius of the cursor (regardless of where the cursor is on the screen), and circle back in quick, frenzied arcs. They pass through solid blocks, and three swords will appear per use (at base melee speed). Each sword sprite deals the weapon's full damage.
The Zenith is capable of autoswing.
Its best modifier is Legendary.

- The Zenith has the potential to reach more than 70,000 DPS on a single target with the right armor, accessories, modifiers, buffs and correct positioning.
- Against segmented worm enemies like The Destroyer, it can even surpass 1,000,000 DPS .
- In an optimized environment, The Zenith can do more than 7,000,000 DPS
- In a regular combat situation, most players will see the Zenith dealing around 20,000 to 30,000 DPS .

- The Zenith entails the most complex crafting tree in Terraria, consisting of 14 different base items (over the course of 10 crafting operations), surpassing both the Cell Phone (13 items) and Ankh Shield (11 items).
- The Zenith is the only sword that appears in the use animation if the player happens to have maximum attack speed, this however is merely a cosmetic detail as it does not improve the overall DPS .
- Before 1.4.1, the Zenith could attack off-screen if you moved your cursor out of the Terraria window.
- Using Teleporters and portals while using the Zenith causes each sword to move in sharp angles and strange directions.
- The Zenith closely resembles the Rune Sword from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night in attack style and place in balance. Both are the 'ultimate weapon' of their respective titles, both are swords (a collection of such in Terraria's case) that leave arcing trails when thrown and always return, and both are time investments.
